Super clean. Very friendly staff. Location right where we needed to be. Great shops on the same grounds and we were lucky enough to be there during "I Made It" weekend. Parking was tricky because of that but we managed. No complaints. It will be my first choice of where to stay from now on.

This hotel was an absolute delight to stay at. Brand new, very pretty, spacious rooms, free breakfast & wifi, convenient Wheel Deliver service available to have meals from nearby restaurants delivered straight to your door, convenient access to a huge, awesome gym with a lap pool, and right next to Panera, Anthropologie and a few other stores and restaurants. […] Even the Paul Mitchell toiletries in the shower are very nice. Comfortable, clean and modern property

Hotel signage was hard to see. There isn't anything on the street and it sits back from a large building so it's easy to miss. Beds were very comfy, staff was very friendly. Hotel rooms were very modern in style. Expensive material used in room. My husband is a builder so he notices these things.

The hotel is new and clean, and the complimentary breakfast provides a wide variety of options, hot and cold. The only drawback to staying at this hotel is that the parking garage is about a 5-8 minute walk from the hotel. One must go outside and walk the equivalent of a block and a half to get to their car. A car is needed to visit the city's attractions […] and restaurants. Our hotel was nice. First visit to a Springhill Suites. It was nice.... the room was somewhat small but we were not in it that often. The neighborhood is suppose to be up and coming but was a little "sketchy" not really any stores in the shopping plaza next door... The hotel itself is newly constructed. The modern design was very appealing and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The pillows were lumpy polyester fill though (trust me, I looked) and took away from my total comfort. The room was very clean and housekeeping took good care of our room. The fitness center adjacent (connected by walkway) was wonderful. […] It was complementary and was beyond our wildest expectations. The hotel location was a bit dicey as OnStar couldn't locate it. We learned later from the front desk to use 6500 Penn Avenue as the address instead of the address stated on the website. The local neighborhood is in a state of urban renewal. It is coming along, but venturing more than a half mile from the hotel property can land you in some uncertain territory. However, we went for morning walks and shopped at some of the local shops. I would stay at the property again if I need an East-Pittsburgh base of operations. Mehr

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood and is surrounded by shops. The gym you gain access to as a hotel guest is top of the line. The staff was helpful and hospitable. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Wifi throughout the hotel was useful.

This is a good hotel close to Shadyside and CMU. I found it convenient walking distance to many locations in Shadyside and would recommend it for visitors to CMU or Chatham University.

The hotel and the stay was great. The only issue was that the bathroom was split into a powder room and a shower separate so having my mother in law with us in the suite made it little uncomfortable that you go to the powder room for one business and shower for another business plus the doors did not lock for both so I was always thinking that my kid […] is going to open the door any second. It was around 35 degree outside. We set the thermometer in our room to 65 degree, however, the room was still hot, and air was dry. Our family of 4 waken up in 3 am, everybody were sweating, and felt dry mouth and nostrils.We called for help. A nice technician came to our room only tried to show us how to set the thermometer. I told him it was the center […] heater that might cause the problem. He offered us to change room. It was 3:30am, we tried to get a little sleep. We turned off the heating system and stayed in the room. We were worried that the room might be cold later, but by the time we wake up around 7:30, the room was not cold. We have stayed in different hotels within the same price range, this was our worst experience that we had. Mehr

The rooms are clean, comfortable and well-designed. The front-desk staff are crisp and professional. There are no annoying charges for gym use, parking, wifi, or breakfast. Would stay here again.

Beautiful new, contemporary hotel. It seems to be a model hotel for the future, with fun sliding doors for the separate shower/sink and toilet/sink. Very comfy room, with large desk for business use. Lobby was very art deco, contemporary and new. Breakfast was oustanding. Fresh made pastry, bagels, oatmeal with multiple options for toppings, waffles […] that you can make yourself, freshly made eggs(two options-- plain and a southwestern). This hotel was conveniently located near the Regent Square area outside of Pittsburgh. Easy to find and parking was no problem (they are attached to a garage). But while my room looked updated, the mattress wasn't. Glad I didn't have to sleep on it for more than 2 nights. I also didn't get any housekeeping services while I was there. When I told clerk […] about this upon checking out, he just assumed I had put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door, which I had not. They offered only an apology. I had no idea hotel parking was not directly outside the hotel, it's a mall parking structure in an adjacent building. Not convenient when you have a lot of stuff to schlep from the car, which we did. But the rest of the hotel experience was good, and breakfast was excellent. I had a great experience at this hotel! The location was perfect for me, and I loved the free parking. I didn't take full advantage of the amenities offered by the hotel but I was happy to know they existed. I could have gone to the neighboring gym which is a new facility with a swimming pool. I also could have enjoyed the free wireless connection if […] I had brought my computer. No password and the connection ran through the entire hotel. Loved the hotel, the location is near several great Pittsburgh restaurants, and Carnegie Mellon. A couple of nice shops in the same vicinity. Really our only complaint was the archaic climate control system: loud, often cold when you want warm, and too close to the bed, so you always feel a breeze wafting around your face while you would hope to sleep. […] We cranked up the heat before going to sleep, then turned it off. Liked the decor. Different then any hotel I've ever stayed in. Was strange though, having the toilet in the middle of the room. Breakfast was very good. 18 month old hotel (8/2011) still looks brand new, price is very good for Pittsburgh, room is very comfy with couch and split bathroom, nice beds. Staff friendly and helpful. Small breakfast service is free, as is the parking. (Some nearby hotels show a slightly smaller rate, but then you have to valet park, more than negating the savings).
