The description of the hotel mentioned that it was "under renovations." They didn't mention that you required a half-track hummer to navigate the pot holes, rocks and piles of dirt and scrap metal in the parking lot. .. The room was very small and lacking in many of the usual comforts one would associate with a one star property. .. The girl at the […] desk was friendly and helpful and the housekeeping staff did a good job of cleaning up. But the ongoing construction that began right outside my door at 7:30 in the morning and the generally poor condition of the hotel, combined with a parking lot that was so destroyed it verged on dangerous served to contribute to the all round worst hotel I've ever stayed at. While the room itself was recently rennovated (new fixtures in the bathroom, recent decorating, new deadbolts), over all, this hotel was terrible. The whole place was run down. The window were only single pane and drafty. The outside was run down and had peeling paint and dingy/stained carpet in the upstairs hallway. The peephole in the door was just […] a hole in the door. The curtains didn't quite fit the window and let light in. The bathroom, although newly finished, was laid out strangely such that you couldn't comfortably sit on the toilet without hitting your shoulder on the sink basin. after long day trip,i want take a good rest.but in the midnight i was waked up by the bedbugs.on my shoulder and arm there are many bites by the bedbugs.after i open the lights there are so many bedbugs climb on the pillow.so horrible.i went to the reception complain,they just change another room for me and do nothing. i spent a night without good rest.so […] bad experience,i will never choose howard johnson anymore.and god bless me not bring the bedbug home. I was there just to sleep and the fact that the hotel was closed to where I had to go was the main factor in booking at this hotel. The room was clean, with LCD TV 40'. WIFI - worked well - no complain. Overall - very good option for low budget.

Hotel is in the process of the renovation, but it’s not completed yet. I got a room that was just renovated, and was spotless, however a bit small. It had a small bistro style table and two chairs. No stand for luggage and very small space for the wardrobe above the refrigerator. There is no coffee maker in the room, but you can get it by request. I […] asked for the coffee maker, and when I went to pick it up, they handed me the coffee maker, but no coffee. I asked for the coffee, so lady finally found a bag of coffee and the filter that was too big for the machine, and I had to help myself to the sugar and the rest from the coffee table at the reception. When I booked hotel it was showing that is room without the breakfast, however, they gave me a coupon for the breakfast with the key. However, staff was kind and helpful. If you just need place to sleep, it is all right, but if you are planning to go out at the evening, it’s a bit out of the way. Mehr

Had a very bad experience in this hotel. I had booked this hotel through Hotel.com and had already paid the amount for this reservation of 2 days. However, when I went to the hotel I was charged once again for my stay (even when I insisted them saying that I have already paid the amount through Hotels.com). After a while (in 20 mins or so) I was called […] again by the Hotel staff and they apologized for the mistake and credited the amount to my account. But for those 30 mins it was very bad and very tense. Mehr

This Howard Johnson's looks like an hourly hotel. The hanging flower plants are the only things that I could see were well-maintained. The carpets leading to the rooms are stained, no handle on the screen door in front of the door to my room, which didn't close completely. Neighborhood is not attractive. There was a shirtless, smoking man hanging over […] the balcony whom I had to pass to get to my room who leered at me. I considered forfeiting my money and went to another hotel. One good thing: the desk has no maps of Montreal and I didn't know how I was going to get to my destination, but one of the counter clerks was helpful with directions. Mehr

for the price we paid, we expected a rundown motel. we really just wanted someplace cheap with wifi. on the outside the place looks cheap, (they are currently under renovation) but our room (101) was beautiful. we had a nice size flat screen, a new bathroom, and a little living room area. we hated having to put down deposits for little things like an […] iron (no ironing board) but overall it was nice. also they have a dining area and gave us free coupon for one morning. the wifi was good, fast. the reception was nice. it was off the highway and convenient to get to other cities. but if you're looking for a neighborhood feeling, this is not it. you can go for a walk and there's public transportation nearby. even though we were off the autoroute, there were no loud noises. i would stay there again Mehr

STAFF WERE NICE. ROOM??? NEWLY REMOLDED. VERY SMALL. NO CHAIR, NO CLOCK,NO PLACE TO PUT LUGGAGE, HAD TO USE THE BED, NO DRESSER OR TABLE IN THE ROOM. TERRIBLE LOCATION, SAT ON THE CURB OUTSIDE OF THE ROOM, NO CHAIRS INSIDE THE ROOM OR OUTSIDE. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD, RESTAURANT WAS CLEAN.

I booked via hotels.com for three (2 adults and 1 child). I only had the choice of one queen-size bed plus a rollaway bed. The room is too small. I myself had to sleep on the rollaway bed for 3 nights....and it took me two nights at home to recover from the back pain. Otherwise it may be ok for two people to stay.

this place is terrible, not according to Howard Johnston standard, very dirty and smelly. my family and I and the group of people with us did not feel comfort and safty.

The fact that where are no pictures of this hotel online should have given away how this hotel looked. When first arriving I noticed how old and dingey it looked. My hotel door had a screen door on it and when I walked into my room, there was a mirror on the ceiling. I think we all know what kind of places have mirrors on the ceiling. I had to ask […] for a hairdryer and I didn't bother to ask for an iron. Typical hotel items seemed to have been a luxury. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone no would I stay in it again. This is not a Howard Johnson. Its a hooker hotel with a howard johnson flag!

Helpfullness of front desk staff is the only positive impression from this hotel. Well, really it is a motel, it does not qualify to hotel status. We were traveling with friends and we booked three rooms. When we arrived, two of the room were not of the type we have ordered, but front desk clerk changed them on the spot. Our room was tiny, had a strong, […] almost sickening smell of some deodorant. Carpet has seen better days. TV did not have a remote. There were no cofee maker, refrigerator, hair dryer or anything else in the room. Bathroom, however was recently updated an very clean (aside leaking shower head). The other room was larger, but the bathroom was in worse condition. The third room was also small, smelled like smoke, but had a refrigerator. In the morning my wife went for continental breakfast I was told about at night. She was not very ceremoniously turned away with explanation that continental breakfast is served only on weekends. After some questioning of front desk clerk, I found out that we were entitled through our booking to coupons for regular breakfast. We went again with the coupons. The breakfast itself was decent. Perhaps it was an isolated case, but neither us nor two pairs of our friends we were traveling with would not stay in this hotel ever again. Mehr

le motel est en renovation, notre chambre était neuve le reste est assez viellot situé assez loin du centre de montreal, dans une zone commerciale à côté d'une voie rapide le personnel était sympa et les petits déj agréables le wifi ne passait pas dans notre chambre

me quede por algunos dias el personal muy amable pero es un lugar solo para quedarse por una noche pues da mas la impresion de un motel donde las parejas llegan por y no un lugar familiar

Il n'y avait pas d'internet WIFI qui entrait dans ma chambre. Ils m'ont alors déménagé dans une autre. La télécommande de la tv ne fonctionnait pas, la fille de la réception est venue la réparer. Ça a pris un bon 20 minutes. Les verres de plastique qu'ils fournissaient dans cette chambre étaient percés (!). Je n'ai pas pu obtenir de frigo, malgré mon […] insistance. Il y avait une odeur de fumée de cigarette dans le corridor et dans la chambre. À ce prix-là, le Days Inn centre-ville vous traite comme un roi. Mehr

Motel excentré en bordure d'une grande artère, véhicule indispensable. Personnel agréable. Bon rapport qualité prix
