"Great hotel but bad customer service."
When I arrived my room was not ready so I had to wait for them to clean a room for me. My room was prepaid but the check in person charged my card again and told me that she did not and just charged for incidentals. After going back and forth with her for a few minutes the manager confirmed that it was charged twice and would be reimbursed to me. The […] special instructions I had for my room were not fulfilled. I can't say enough about my experience during my stay. The staff was very accommodating and professional. The location is great as there are numerous restaurants and stores all around the hotel so you don't have to travel very far to do things. "Good for one night, not close to much"
The check-in was quick and easy. The room was nice. The gym was well-equipped. I had trouble sleeping because the temperature in the room was hard to control, even with the thermostat. Also the air unit was very noisy when it kicked on and off. Breakfast was good - they provided everything one needs for an egg and sausage croissant sandwich, plus fruit, […] cereal, etc. Check-out was a little frustrating. The desk clerk left the desk as I was walking up to it. He said he would return shortly. I loaded my luggage into the car and went back in to wait. I could hear other employees talking behind the divide, but no one was covering the desk. After several minutes one of the other employees finally checked the desk. Pleasant greeting at front desk. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. I wish there had been kleenex in the room and had posted on their website blowdryers were in the room. Great stay and convienent to the highway. Breakfast is small with essentials, but they wouldn't refill items when they ran out. Hotel skimps on some toiletry essentials such as toothpaste! "Wouldn't stay anywhere else!"
We came to Montgomery for a wedding and stayed for 3 nights. Everything was great especially the staff. Very friendly and helpful. We then went on to our beach vacation, only to have to leave under a mandatory evacuation due to Hurricane Isaac's approach. When we called back to the hotel they were so helpful and we even got the same room so it was like […] coming home! I think that for the money the hotel was nice. the biggest problem was that the food needs to be improved. There was hardly any fresh fruit, the waffle was no good and the emplyee working ther was over worked. One person to keep the food fresh, have all the food available without waiting a nlong trime, and keep the area clean is a problem. Good location, great rooms, nice people! There is shopping close by and if you need a place to eat, you have all of your major recognized restaurants within 1 mile. I was allowed to have a late checkout because of my exam time. The staff faxed information for me. It was a beautiful facility. "Quality hotel and service"
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The service was excellent and employees polite and helpful. The gym was in good condition, which isn't always the case with hotels nowadays. My only complaints are a handle bar in the pool is broken, and too much of the food is ready-made -- cold boiled eggs and pre-made egg-patties are not too tasty. The rest is OK. […] Don't order the frozen meals in the lobby; they are way too expensive $6 for a box of lean cuisine. The good thing is that it's within walking distance of Waffle House and Cracker Barrel.
