Stratford House Inn - Edmond

Friendly, courteous staff, clean room, nice jaccuzi, very comfortable, expecially for the price.

I booked this hotel with some apprehension, but after reading the reviews it seemed to be the only one in the area that would suit my needs. I was pleasantly surprised when the hotel desk clerk had my check-in paperwork ready upon my arrival. The room, along with the hotel is dated... Do not be fooled though. The hotel from start to finish was absolutely […] clean. Everything from the lobby to the parking lot, the room was no exception. The sheets were crisp and fresh, the bathroom was spotless, as was the rest of the rooms interior. We were super satisfied with our stay and would recommend this hotel to friends. It does not have the amenities of other higher end hotel chains but it more than makes up for it with the price, location, and attention to detail from the hotel staff. Mehr

The hotel is quiet. The room had a great tub. The management was really good to us. We had them call for a taxi for us. The taxi service was really bad. They forgot us. The heater was great, just a little noise. Good place to stay, if u have little money.

we stayed here for business. Great price, clean rooms and great customer service. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean but very outdated. The furniture was worn out. The king size bed only had three standard size pillows, which were hard just like the bed. The big plus of the room was that it had a jacuzzi tub and it worked! Most of the other guests there were construction type workers, possibly staying by the week or month. They had their construction […] vehicles parked in the lot and they were outside in the parking lot quite a bit. I felt uncomfortable, being as that I'm a woman, staying there alone. Sufficient and convenient to my needs. Management was very accommodating and helpful. Cont. breakfast was likewise "modest," so all I took was the good coffee and juice. Convenient to all kinds of restaurants and fast food. I liked it well enough to re-book for two more nights later in October.

Really not impressed with this hotel. The continental breakfast. Was A snack Donut from store, coffee, three types of cereal, orange or apple juice. milk was stored in gallon jug in the icebox, with other foods. Every hour between 12am - 6am trains come threw waking you up with horns. I And never hand free access to the internet.

In town on business and hardly in the room. The hotel is old, but the room and sheets were clean, staff was friendly and the price was right.

Just needed a clean safe place. Price was great. the place was better than we expected. Obviously recently remodeled, it looks and feels very good. The only 'obviously' old was the dresser. New carpet, paint, tile, ceiling plaster, etc etc. Very friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was just doughnuts, cold cereal, coffee and orange and apple juices. Would […] have liked a little protein or fruit. But if this keeps the price down. then keep the low price. Overall a good place. We got in late so we didn't see the surroundings until the morning and were concerned, but in the morning realized that our concerns were unfounded. It is in a nice area of town. Mehr

I was a little leery when I pulled into the hotel. Not the best looking from the outside or from the office area. But, the room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. I had no problems at all there. Staff was very nice and the room was nice and clean every day upon returning from my conference. Location was good. Not far from UCO, and very close to a grocery […] story and other shopping areas. You get what you pay for. No frills, but it is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. At half the cost of most surrounding hotels, it is a steal. Having a fridge and microwave was nice as well. Would definitely stay there again.

I was very surprised for the price. I chose the cheapest hotel I could find in order to save money, and was expecting what I paid for. The room was extremely well air conditioned. The beds were reasonable comfortable, and the room was very clean. I liked the refrigerator and microwave. The bath tub was very deep, which is nice if you are 6 feet tall […] like me. It was easy to find, the staff were very helpful and the outdoor safety lighting was great. GREAT DEAL

Cheap and clean - period! They did have very convenient parking. Pass on the "Continental Breakfast" - cereal and a couple of donuts.

An older place, showing some minor wear, but has all the really important things I needed. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, convenient, and cheap. A. E., Apr 11

The linens (towels, bedsheets) are very clean, & the airconditioning unit efficiently working for a comfortable stay. The location is very adjacent to the grocery, restaurants, & other shops. It is easy to buy things you miss to bring on your travel. The manager is very professional & very knowledgeable about directions.

All I needed was a place to sleep for 3 days while on business in Edmond. The hotel is old and a little run down, but the room was decent, clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping did a fine job. I did not see a single bug the whole time. Bed was comfortable, I slept well, did not hear a noise from other rooms the whole time. You can hear a train passing […] by from time to time, but wasn't really bothersome. The internet connection was very slow. The TV was fuzzy. The breakfast was cold cereal and doughnuts, but it was fresh all 3 days. I was not paying for a fancy breakfast. If I was on vacation and needing a hotel to enjoy and relax I probably would not choose this one. But if you are looking for a cheap place to stay and get some sleep, this place worked great for me.
