New refurbished hotel. Room is small and expensive. S

The hotel in conveniently located between the big department stores on Hausmann/Opera/ St Lazare Station and the Pigalle/Montmartre area to the north. The hotel is clean, smart and efficiently run. The themes of the hotel have less impact in real life and come across more as gimmicky. For the amount of time that one would spend in a Paris Hotel room, […] I would have been just as happy in a mid level chain at half the price. I can't knock it though. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the place. If you don't want to pay 10 Eurobucks for a beer, go to the Coq and Bulldog across the Road. There are also plenty of eateries around the Place de Clichy which is five minutes walk up the road. The Eiffel Tower is a 40 minute stroll. Mehr

In Feb 2012 we stayed in Secret de Paris and were really amazed by the wonderful decorated rooms. You can choose to sleep in a different types of room every night. It is a rather small hotel which is adding an advantage by delivery you a really personal service. We asked the hotel to book us Moulin Rouge tickets and they were waiting for us at the reception […] upon our arrival. The bathroom with bubble bath and ambient light is very peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris and for sure we are coming back. Mehr

Stayed here for 3 nights. Great idea for room themes. Very helpful staff. Walking distance to Montmartre for sunsets over the city. Close to Moulin Rouge. Safe neighborhood with good restaurants close by. (Percolateur was excellent) Reasonably priced cab ride to riverbanks. My husband and I were very impressed with the Secret de Paris. The hotel truly felt like a best kept secret, tucked away in a largely residential neighborhood that was still within walking distance to many of the big landmarks. The welcome began before we arrived - helpful staff booking a restaurant for our first evening. Then a complementary glass of champagne on arrival, followed by an introduction to our quirky but beautifully appointed room (Eiffel Tower). On the small side, but as we were there for only two nights, not a problem. Glamorous shower room and adequate clothes […] storage. We didn't take breakfast, but it looked good! While some of the surroundings were a little seedy, the hotel is well placed for a walk up to Montmartre (to the north) or to the shops around Galeries Lafayette (in the opposite direction). Metro stations within ten minutes in either direction. For a flavour of the real Paris mixed with a little self indulgence and fantasy, it would be hard to better the Secret de Paris Mehr

Good: -Locatin: close to the underground station, bakeries, convenience stores. -Comfort -Design Not so good: -whirlpool bath not working that well. Water went down the drain continuously, resulting in a quickly annoying sound that would remind anyone of the dripping faucet torture after 10 minutes. Not exactly relaxing. Had 3 wonderful days at this hotel. Its is in a great location near to restaurants and walking distance to cabaret shows. Its walking distance to the opera house and Laffayette Galleria, the largest dept store in Paris. The theme rooms of the hotel are great and they will move you from one themed room to another if you want. The breakfast was great […] & the staff were fantastic & they could converse in English. The hotel's service and staff was some of the best we have had in Europe. The location is good - the transit system is easy in Paris, but if you like to walk, you are 15 minutes from the Opera district and 25 from the Louvre. The rooms are fun and very nice - a bit small just glass walls for your bathroom - so if you're shy about your partner seeing […] you shower it might not be for you. Otherwise, hip, cool, and very comfortable. Breakfast is included which is nice in Paris and probably saves you 20 Euro per day. Beds were very comfortable. I loved this hotel! Easy walking distance to the Grand Magasins, the Opera, the Louvre and close to metro and suburban stations, it is very well placed. The hotel staff were excellent, very customer orientated. I felt welcomed immediately. And the room I stayed in was lovely. I chose the Opera room, it was luxurious and a decent size for a city centre. […] The decor was stunning, deep crimson cushions, snowy white bedlinen and a comfortable bed. And quiet, despite overlooking the Rue Clichy, the windows were very well soundproofed.. The bathroom contained a jacuzzi and rain shower. Sparklingly clean. I really cannot fault the look of the hotel at all. I found the lift a little disconcerting, it has mirrored walls and floor. But fully in keeping with the ambiance of the hotel. There are one or two little things. I was sitting in the bar next to the street door and this did keep opening when people walked by outside. The surrounding area is a little scruffy. I also felt the breakfast was expensive. Overall, however, this hotel is a real treat. I shall certainly stay here again and if this review sounds too complimentary, well - I couldn't actually find much to fault. We chose this hotel based on reviews we read on Trip Advisor and Hotels.com and we couldn't be happier with our stay! Everything that every review says (the numerous positive ones) is/are true. The service is fantastic, the rooms are adorable and clean, the staff is wonderful, and the location is great. Each room is designed very well, from the lighting […] fixtures to the decor. I also loved loved LOVED the two (yes, two!) french-door windows. We opened them every night and listened to the sounds of Paris as we fell asleep. Instead of repeating more of the same praises found in other reviews, I would like to address some of the negatives that people discussed: Location being "far away" from everything: Yes, you're in a more residential area of Paris. EMBRACE THAT. There are fewer tourists, McDonald's, Starbucks, etc. You're not fighting with crowds every day, and you can actually experience Paris the way you should. Stop in a neighborhood cafe, practice your French at the bakery, see a movie! These are all things that can significantly add to a vacation! You are within four short blocks in either direction from a Metro. My husband and I took the Metro everywhere we went and no "tourist" destination took us over twenty minutes of travel time. We also saved a lot of money by eating breakfast and lunch at neighborhood locations. Something worth noting is that since you're in a more residential area, late July/early August will have many closed shops for vacation. The streets are a little dark at night because of these closures, but I don't expect this to be a problem other than the July 20 - August 20 time frame. The rooms are small: Umm, it's a Paris boutique hotel. This is not the United States where everything is huge. Stop expecting the Hilton with full-sized closets and dressers. We really enjoyed our stay at Secret de Paris. The hotel is lovely, the room was excellent and the service was great. The location is really convenient for two metro stops and just about walking distance from the Seine.

We have traveled extensively and stayed in everything from hostiles to the Waldorf and this hotel ranks very close to the top. The staff is excellent! They're welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The decor is fantastic. It creates a romantic, upscale, sophisticated atmosphere. We stayed in the Eiffel Tower room and it's like no detail […] had been forgotten. The rooms were a little small but the details in the design more than made up for it. The bathroom was great. The 24 hour room service was very nice and well priced. The location is great to hop on and off the Paris Metro with several really great restaurants nearby. Next time we're in Paris, we'll definitely stay here again! Mehr

Tres confortable, déco design et moderne. Pas de bruit. Très bon accueil. À 5-7 min de marche du métro station liège. Et à 2 min d,une station de taxi. Bref à recommander

chambres magnifiques mais beaucoup trop petites a mon gout.... de plus pas d'arrêt pour déposer las bagages et le seul parking public est très loin ...

Veldig moderne og stilfullt hotell med en eksepsjonell stab. Vi bodde på rommet "Musée d'Orsay" som var et komfortabelt og vakkert rom. Rommet ble rengjort hver dag. Det var veldig positivt å både kunne styre lysstyrke og temperatur i rommet. Alt dette kunne gjøres fra sengekanten. Hotellet passer like så godt til eldre som yngre par. Det er også veldig […] kult å kunne velge utseende på rommet. Ellers var det kun 3 minutter gange til nærmeste undergrunnsstasjon (Place de Clichy) som gikk strake veien til Champs-Elysses, 1 minutt til supermarked, 10 minutter til Moulin Rouge og 2 minutter til de nærmeste restaurantene. Vi var så "heldige" at vi mistet flyet våres. Da ble vi tilbudt nytt rom med redusert pris av det hyggelige personalet. Da frustrasjonen sto på sitt verste hos oss som misset flyet, tilbød de ansatte en enestående service som vi er evig takknemlige for. De gjorde den ekstra dagen til en positiv opplevelse og vi nøt det siste døgnet. I etterkant har jeg valgt å rangere hotellet som dét beste hotellet jeg noen sinne har bodd på. Jeg har ingenting å trekke for. Fint utseende, god rengjøring, bra temperatur på rommene, ingen støy og best av alt personalet (som også snakket flytende engelsk i motsetning til mange andre franskmenn). Neste gang jeg skal til Paris kommer jeg definitivt til å sjekke inn hos Secret de Paris! Mehr

Hôtel agréable même si nous étions un peu déçu... Les +: le personnel très sympathique et à l'écoute, la baignoire à remous. Le -: la propreté de la chambre (poussière sur les meubles et j'ai même trouvé un chewing gum collé à nos draps...!); la literie pas confortable.

Super lækkert hotel, ekstremt hyggeligt med deres tema rum og stilfulde indretning, morgen buffet dog noget hektisk da de ikke havde så meget plads at lave det på. Men alt i alt et fantastisk besøg. Kan varmt anbefales.

Lite og komfortabelt hotell med flott beliggenhet.

Très bon hôtel avec un très bon service!! Je vous le recommande vivement.
