Loews Atlanta - Atlanta

The Loews Atlanta is a pretty nice Hotel. The Rooms are spacious and clean. The Food in the Restaurant is good and above the usual Hotel-Restaurants. Painfully atrocious is the Spa, apparently not directly managed by the Hotel. Incompetent, rude and lazy. From the Receptionist to the Attendant.

Terrific hotel, it's my hotel of choice whenever I come to midtown ATL on business. Clean, upscale, not too trendy, not too noisy, well maintained, great rooms with terrific views, excellent service. Can't beat it.

This hotel was amazing! Low cost and just great! Friendly staff, great gym, comfortable bed, very clean and spacious room. Can't say enough good things, not one bad.

Very nice place to stay

Second time staying here. I travel quite frequently for work and this is one of the best staffs I have experienced - very friendly, professional and courteous. My only complaint was one of my glasses in the bathroom was apparently not refreshed after the last guests' departure; however it was left in the bathroom with the Loews paper lid securely placed. […] There were lipstick marks on the glass - which was very unsanitary. The staff was excellent in every way!!!

Room that I booked was not the room I was given. Front desk staff never called me back to correct the situation. Room didn't get cleaned until I called down to request someone come up and clean. I had to sleep on a pull out couch that had old dirty sheets on it when I opened it up. Called for someone to come change sheets and they handed me a huge pile […] of sheets to make it myself. Lovely room and hotel however service varied greatly between staff members. Some staff were great, others were quite condescending almost to the point of rudeness. If you are in your travel clothes (e.g. jeans and jacket) you receive lesser service from some staff, than you would wearing your business suit. While the room and facilities were great I […] would not stay at Loews again because of the service. We could have spent the same money on an equally nice room with better service at the Marriott or Hilton for example, and will do so next time. Mehr

We really did enjoy our stay at Loews and will definitely stay here again in the future should the need arise. The only dislike would be the view. We paid for a City Skyline view and got a parking, no city buildings and the ability to see into the room of the people behind us (we were in an awkward corner of the building). We spent New Year's weekend at the Loews, and I can't say enough how pleased we were. The staff was amazingly attentive, even though the hotel was very busy, and the hotel had planned special amenities for NYE. The King Superior wasn't at all superior, in my opinion. The rooms were smaller than I expected. There was more bed than there was room (which could be a gift and a curse... nice bed by the way). The toilets were really close to the wall, making it very uncomfortable. The showers were really narrow. I guess it would have been okay if I was trying to […] get my hair wet, but since I wasn't it was less than comfortable for me. For as high as we were from ground level (Level 20), we could still hear everything that was going on downstairs and outside, which made it very difficult to go to sleep. We attempted to get a night cap and we couldn't not get service. We waited by the bar for about 20 minutes and no one came to serve us or even acknowledged us... we ended up leaving. I think the bar tenders were more so trying to remain friendly to the people that they were already serving, rather than serve new people. Several people left. On another note, our room service guy (I think his name is Irvin... He served room 2037 @ approx. 9pm on 12/31/2011) was the nicest. He was really friendly and made us feel welcome and that we could ask for anything. I wish my stay would have been grand, but I cannot say that it was. I expected more from The Loews. Mehr

My partner and I wanted to spend a night in an intown hotel to celebrate his birthday. Our objectives were simple -- we wanted to be pampered, in style, without breaking the bank. Beautiful hotel & friendly staff

Love this hotel when it's really on--and it was. Jonathan and Wendy are the best concierges--helping with every detail. Room service was excellent with a very friendly and accommodating attendant. We also had a few meals in eleven--a little slow but really great servers. The bar had a few mixologists there on Thursday and we were invited to taste some […] new drink ideas they were working on. The Atlanta Loews was just about perfect. Friendly staff, huge bathroom with art on the wall and a tv, welcoming to our Bearded Collie (who got her own goody bag, and for whom the additional fee was a flat $25), comfortable bed and pillows, handy little coffee shop off the lobby..... if only they didn't sock you $9.95 a day for Internet, and $30 a night […] for parking, it would be unbeatable. Still, next time we need a place to stay in Atlanta, it's where we'll head. Mehr

i really liked the lowe's hotel. we got the room for music midtown, it was a great idea.

I checked in for one night and was given a room that was an office with a bedroom annex. There were no windows in the bedroom and the office window looked down into the lobby. This would be a great place for business people with all night projects but for an individual staying one night it was like sleeping in an office building - just creepy.

What! No pool???

The hotel and it's entire staff were outstanding, but Jonathan the concerige, was a standout! It was right in the heart of downtown and close to the MARTA would deffinately stay there again!!!!!

HARD bed! Also, we requested a handicap accessible room and it definitely was NOT! Glass shower had no grab bars, was too small, needed to step up to get in. Commode was in too tight of a corner for a physically challenged person to manuveur, and sink was too high. We will never stay there again. This hotel is more for a trendy set. Looks nice, but […] did not meet our needs. Snacks, esp. cookies, were very dry and tasteless- for $7.00! Mehr

This hotel is right in the heart of Atlanta. It is beautiful and the staff is friendly. Getting into the loading and unloading area is a little difficult coming off of the city street; and cost conscious travelers may want to look elsewhere. Otherwise this a great stay and was worth the money.

Quick 1 night stay for business, but everything was perfect. I travel a fair amount, and they do it right.

Bumped us to a top floor suite. A Butler rang the door with champagne and fresh fruit 5 minutes after we set foot in our room. We enjoyed a great show in the lobby. Overall, great stay-cation!

I absolutely loved my stay. The service was fantastic and everybody was so helpful.

Truely Five Star (even though there is no pool) Highly recommend!

The booking price seems OK, until you get nickeled and dimed for everything else. $30 for overnight valet parking? Really? This is Atlanta, not New York. In any event, practically anything you can think of beyond the room rate comes as an extra add-on at Loews.

My wife and I stayed here for the nearby Atlanta Dogwood Festival in Piedmont Park. The hotel is an easy walk to the park, and there are several good restaurants right nearby. The hotel is top-notch all around, from cleanliness to amenities. About the only concern I had was some confusion when I arrived (after my wife, who had already checked in) to […] pick up a key from the desk. The first attendant somehow could not figure out how to issue me a key, and I had to wait for a second attendant to finish with her guest and come over and help. However, they were very polite about the whole thing, and maintained their professionalism during this. Mehr

My fiance and I wanted to have a special date night so we decided to go down to the city and book a room at Loews Atlanta. It was everything we wanted and more. We decided to upgrade to the Grand King Corner Room after the front desk clerk recommended it. I really enjoyed my stay. The view of the city was amazing with floor to ceiling windows. Midtown […] restaurants, bars, and clubs were all walking distance. My favorite thing about Loews was the impeccable service. Everyone from the Front Desk to the Room Service operator were so polite and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We did receive some unexpected service charges for room service but I called accounts payable and they refunded it back without me even asking. Also I loved that we had a driver to take us anywhere within 3 miles. He also offered to pick us up but we rode back to the hotel with friends. They made me feel like a princess and I can't wait to return! Mehr

I was first introduced to the Loew's chain of Hotels in Philadelphia, PA. When I found out they was building a Loew's hotel in Atlanta, GA. I was thrilled. Since the hotel open on April 1st, 2009, I have managed to stay there three times. Once in their Duluxe Grand King Suite, and twice in their regular King Room. Regardless, of the size of the rooms, […] I just love the luxurious beds and bathrooms. The staff, let me repeat, the staff is the best on the plant. They make you feel so special, there is nothing that is beyond their reach to satisfy their customers. Can I move into the Loew's and stay forever? Mehr

Sleek, modern interior. Very comfortable beds with soft, high thread count, sheets and real down pillows. Complimentary Coffee maker with individual capsules is a nice touch. Excellent food, but room service is slow (especially for breakfast)

Very nice hotel, however service was a little suspect. Food from room service was horrible. There was a fire alarm however non of the staff responded/acknowledged it. Concierge said that he didn't even hear it. That is not very safe!!

The hotel is beautiful. The sustainable restaurant and bar were a nice surprise. Lobby is gorgeous. The room we were given had a great view. The bathroom even has a tv. My only complaint is the spa. I booked the hotel because I like spa but when we called to get the more unusual massages they told us plainly "we don't do that" and were surprised when […] we told them it was on their menu. Also, it's about twice more expensive then even the most expensive spas I've been to, and I've been to quite a few. I think that needs rethinking. Otherwise, all was great. Mehr
