Das Hotel ist gut aber das room service war nicht so ganz gut. Obwohl ich mehrmals darauf hingewiesen habe, hat sich aber leider nichts geändert!

Das Geschirr beim Frühstücksbuffet war schmutzig und wir mussten um sauberes fragen! Das Personal war unfreundlich und unmotiviert. Es fing beim einchecken an und hörte beim auschecken auf! Einfach unglaublich! Wir waren das erste und allerletzte Mal in diesem Hotel! Das Hotel hat nie und nimmer 4 Sterne verdient!

Die Standardzimmer sind sehr schön mit Balkon und Blick auf die Pyramiden. an einer sehr stark befahrenen Strasse. Gutes Brakfastbuffet, kann auch nach Lust etwas anderes bestellen. Freundliches Personal, jedoch fast ohne Englishkenntnisse so spricht man mit den Händen. Ich empfehle diese Hotel zu diesen niedrigen Preisen

at 35$ a night i would recommend it but any amount over $50 stay somewhere else. the carpet was red about 20 years old and full of stains. dont walk around without your shoes on. a/c didnt work so switched rooms. the a/c made noise all the time but no cold air. didnt try the restaurant. good location.

My husband and I were very pleased with Horizon Pyramids Hotel. We stumbled upon this diamond in the rough after 4 horrific days at the hostel Royal in Cairo (see trio advisor for that review & picture). When the taxi pulled up to the Horizon Pyramids Hotel we were very pleased with the outside appearance; once we entered the hotel we were greeted by […] the front doors man who directed us to the reception area. We booked online & requested early check in. We were then directed to an sitting area to wait for our room which they said would be ready in 15 mins while waiting for our room a gentleman came with two wine glasses of punch. Before I could finish my punch the bell man informed us our room was ready. The room was small however it was enough for my husband & I. Our room had an balcony with the pyramid view. We ordered room service; not only were they speedy it was also delicious. I found the bathroom quite relaxing after a day of exploring. The deep tub & hot water was very relaxing. My husband and I highly recommend The Horizon Pyramids Hotel in Giza Egypt. Mehr

We went to Cairo to study Arabic and hence were not so concerned in staying at a fancy or luxury / delux etc hotel. A clean room would've sufficed. However, We were given (most likely) the cheapest room available. It was small, dark and the window let in the cold and the noise from the streets. Despite all this we would've have been quite content as […] long as the room was clean, particularly the bathroom. But th utter filth and neglect was from a horror film. The bath had grime all over it and the floor had never been hovered. When we requested housekeeping to clean the room their woefully inept attempt at convincing us that this had been accomplished was to leave behind a towel origami design. We called housekeeping again and had to supervise the cleanup. It was disgusting to see that the toilet brush used for the toilet was also used to clean the bath tub. And they give the housekeeping staff a small bottle of detergent which is used sparingly. Also the breakfast is awful. Unfortunately there's only McDonald's for any sort of decent coffee. Do not visit the pastry store next door as the coffee is hideous and overpriced if your a foreigner. Also do NOT use the taxi services based in the hotel. It's a ridiculously expensive ripoffn use white cabs and ensure they put on their meter. Mehr

The hotel over all was ok, there was no AC in the room, TV is tiny small screen and the receptionist called my room by mistake which waked me up after i was sleep. Over all not the good services compare it with similar hotels.

View of Pyramids from certain rooms. Food is stale. Staff not very friendly - Avoid Taxi/Tours Service - Overcharge tourists - Too pricey - Lack of honesty Souvenir shop items fairly priced. Hard to sleep at night due to noisy street. We had a great time visiting the amazing sights of the region.

Staffs were extremely friendly and helpful, excellent customer service!! The hotel is located very close to the pyramids but kind of far from downtown Cairo. There was a lot of restaurants in the area, fast food chains such as Mc donalds, Hardees and KFC was like 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Our room was average clean, normal size and had a safe, […] fridge but no minibar. Good toiletries especially the shoe shine sponge which was very useful after coming back from the pyramids. The swimming pool was very small. Superfast laundry service. Overall you are paying a reasonable price for this hotel therefore cannot really complain, as I would personally pay a bit extra on my next visit and stay at a 5 star hotel in downtown Cairo. Mehr

The hotel staff is very incompetent and unprofessional. The air conditioning doesn't work in the rooms and is controlled by the floor, not personal room setting. When arrived to check in, the reception had to ring the bellhop 5 times to just come and pick up the luggage and when he finally came down, he walked passed us and went to gossip/chit chat […] with other staff members. The only hard working staff members were the housekeeping and the managers, after having to correct several of the hotel's staff mistakes. As for room service, they brought down the food 2 hours later, after having called them to ask where it was at. The staff is not well versed in either Spanish or English language. We were not the only ones with complaints, while staying at this hotel. I saw three other couples with complaints about noise, water in shower going hot and cold-not consistent or water pressure problems, and problems with security. Note to Hotel: Your staff reflects your business...managers may be good and speak several languages, but if your staff is lazy, incompetent and can't communicate with its guests, people will not want to return and stay at your hotel. I was expecting a better quality of a hotel. It is in the middle of chaos. The room that I booked as well as the halls smelled like smoke. The room was too small so I had to book the suite which was way overpriced for what was offered. The AC did not work well in the room. The breakfast was awful and after two days I refused to eat it because it made […] me sick to my stomach. The pool was so tiny and not what was advertised. The hotel was clean, good size bedroom, small bathroom though, and close proximity to the pyramids(as we could see the pyramids in the distance from our balcony when the pollution and smog permitted). They helped us plan our entire visit with a private guide/driver for a really reasonable price. You need only to tell them what you want to see and accomplish while you there, and they will personalize an itinerary from beginning to end, completely worry free! Initially, we were concerned about having a guide/driver who spoke English well enough to understand. That fear was completely dispelled when we met our guide/driver Farid. We can't say enough positive things about Farid. He is absolutely AMAZING! Egyptian born, with great communicative English. He was professional with a genuine interest in our safety and making our first visit to Egypt a lasting memory. Farid was probably by far the best reason to book at this hotel! For him it wasn't just about receiving a tip(as it is for many Egyptians in the business of tourism), surprisingly he declined daily tips and kindly requested we waited to the end of our 4 days with him to determine if we thought his service was tip worthy! Unheard of in Cairo, where everyone is after you for money! If you visit Cairo, Farid is a must hire driver!!! Mehr

We were not satisfied with our stay in this hotel. The service was poor, the room was never clean, there was no Wi-Fi as promissed. Would not recommend it to anyone. And it states that the hotel has 4 stars!!!! In the sky???

This hotel is nice and well equipped, with all of the conveniences i could have hoped for. To say it is 4-stars, I feel, is pushing it. However, it is at least 3.5-stars, and perfectly nice. The house-keeping staff is good - didn't clean as spotless as other hotels, but adequate, again, for the price. The hotel staff is VERY friendly, and I was very happy here. One note - this hotel is on one of the busiest, noisiest streets in Cairo. It didn't bother me in the least. I've spent a lot of time in Cairo, and know that the city in general is noisy and crowded. My hotel stay is a bit partial because I stayed at a partner hotel a few nights earlier and even though the other hotel's rate was about five U.S. dollars more, it was head and shoulders above this one. I would not recommend this one only because I would recommend the other hotel, which is run by same management.
