Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Komfortable großzügige Zimmer, unseres mit komplett eingerichteter Küche. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli etc. Minishop und ebenfalls ein kleiner Starbucks sind auch im Hotel vorhanden. Die Lage ist der einzige Minuspunkt für uns gewesen, da sehr weit vom Innenstadtbereich entfernt (zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten). Ebenfalls direkt an der Interstate gelegen, somit 24 Stunden die Autos zu hören.

Die Vorzüge des Hotels sind eindeutig: 1.) Die ausgezeichnete Lage für Reisende die möglichst schnell (ca. 200 m zu Fuß) vom Hotel bis zu Check-In Schalter kommen möchten. Wegen der Kürze des Weges geht das sogar zu Fuß bei Regen ohne Schirm! 2.) Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca. 250 m) zum LightRail Link zwischen Flughafen und Seattle Downtown, wobei die Tageskarte ca. 5$ kostet. Fahrtzeit ca. 35 Minuten. Ansonsten war das Hotel älter in der Ausstattung (ungefähr 70er Jahre Bauzeit) mit einigen Upgrades (z.B. zwei neue Flachbildschirme). Das Standard-Zimmer (Bad, Schlafzimmer, Auftenhaltsraum) war sauber. Die Lounch und der Frühstücksbereich des Hotels gepflegt. Das Frühstück war hingegen nur Durchschnitt, so daß man eher in Seattle Downtown frühstücken möchte. Der sehr Nahe gelegene Flughafen bietet diesbezüglich auch nur wenig an. Einzige Kritikpunkte meines Zimmers auf der Seite zum Flughafen war der laute Straßenverkehr des 'Internationl Boulevard' for dem Hotel (der Fluglärm hingegen war gut erträglich). Und die Klimaanlage, welche in Seattle aber selten nötig wäre, wenn man das Fenster öffenen könnte. Das ging zwar mechanisch problemlos, aber bei dem Straßenverkehr-Krach ... Ich würde das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen. In der Summe war es rund.

Die Klimaanlage in dem Zimmer musste den ganzen heizen, damit es abends nicht zu kalt wird. Das Bad wurde gar nicht von der Wärme gar nicht betroffen und war entsprechend frisch.

Die Innenstadt von Seattle erstreckt sich entlang des Puget Sound vom historischen Pioneer Square im Süden bis zum schicken Belltown im Norden. Dazwischen reihen sich Bürogebäude, Einkaufsgalerien und Apartments in Backsteinhäusern an den grünen Boulevards aneinander. Hier befinden sich das Kongresszentrum und Pike Place Market, wo Lachse fliegen können. Gäste sollten auch unbedingt die futuristische öffentliche Hauptbibliothek besuchen. Die Zwillingsstadien Seattles und der International District liegen südlich von der Innenstadt.

"The Homeless"
This is an excellent hotel, with quality staff. In my view however this was marred somewhat by there being a lot of homeless folk on the street immediately down the street which made me feel uncomfortable when walking outside the valet area.
"Good quality at a relatively good price"
The decent hotels in downtown Seattle will cost quite a bit, but the Courtyard was affordable and still very good quality. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially the valet staff. It's an easy walk to good restaurants and sights, but, watch out for the homeless people present during all hours. Most seemed nice enough, but there were several […] that looked somewhat dangerous and even one that was loudly swearing obscenities at passers-by. However, that is Seattle for you and not the Courtyard's fault. The in-hotel restaurant is very good and they actually have good showerheads, unlike some Seattle area hotels that have weak, low-flow shower heads. Mehr

Room was very clean, but smaller than I'm accustomed to. The bed is much more comfortable than most hotel beds, and the staff was extremely attentive and customer-oriented. There are quite a few restaurants close by, and the Light Rail station is within a block.

"Courtyard Downtown Seattle"
Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights over 2012 New Years. I loved the hotel. It's location was convenient and there were stores and restaurants all around. One con is no room service. And no laundry feature. Very minor but it was a great stay! Valets were very friendly as well.
"New rooms, close to LINK Train and sightseeing"
Very nice refurbished rooms, small gym & pool. 1 block from the LINK Train, cost us $2.75 to get from Sea-Tac Airport to hotel and a very short walk. Close to sightseeing attractions. Great coffee just down Cherry St. I would stay here again!

"Close to the Stadium"
This hotel is hard to find, but worth it. Service was excellent from the valet to the front desk. There's a nice little bar/cafe that has limited hours and menu, but it does serve Starbucks, and the staff was friendly. The hotel has a modern feel with a twist as it was once a 1910 office building.

Great hotel to stay at, very close to SafeCo and CenturyLink Field. Okay night life nearby. Only downside was the lack of a hot tub.
"Outstanding balance of value and location"
This was our first experience in Seattle without a car. We were able to easily light rail from the airport to downtown and walk an easy block to the hotel. Excellent customer service and amenities throughout. Room was on the small side but very functional and comfortable. "Not Your Typical Courtyard"
When I think of Courtyard hotels, a certain stereotype pops into my mind - not a bad one, by any means - I've always had satisfactory experiences whenever I've stayed at one. But the Courtyard-Pioneer Square pulled out all the stops on me. I booked it based on its proximity to King Street Station (a 10-minute walk up 2nd Street) and the fact that it […] offered the best rate in the area. As I walked up 2nd Street from the station, I kept on the look-out for a building that resembled my idea of a Courtyard. As I approached a gorgeous, 1920s era, 15-story Beaux-Arts-style building which had the name "The Alaska Building" painted on its side, I was immediately (and pleasantly) surprised when I realized that the green awning spanning across the sidewalk in front of the buidling's main entrance bore the words "The Courtyard". From the moment the doorman saluted me and opened the exterior door from me, everything was an "UPhill" experience. The person at the front desk who registered me was very pleasant, offering to put my luggage in storage since there were no rooms ready quite yet (it was only 10:15AM; check-in wasn't until 3PM). She took my cell phone number and promised to contact me as soon as a room was ready, then gave me pointers on things to do in the interim. Not that I wound up having much time to do anything - she called me within 20 minutes to let me know my room was ready, and that I could go up to it at anytime. As such, I unpacked and was ready to hit the streets before 11AM, which meant that I basically had a full Friday in Seattle at my disposal. The room I was given was on the 4th floor on the east side of the building overlooking Cherry Street. While the view was limited, given the number of high-rise buildings surrounding the hotel, I wasn't expecting anything else. Loved my room! It was cosey and clean. Remodeled building with all the ammenities I was looking for. IT is cetral to all of downtown Seattle and it was pretty quiet.

The hotel is rather nice, the room had an awesome view of the city, and the people were really nice and professional. I didn't like the situation with the parking meaning that there isn't parking only valet. I would definatley stay there again.

Nice clean room with nice comfortable bed and comforter. The area is a bit noisy though, it being on 2nd avenue which seems to be a well travelled road all hours of the night.

Loved the hotel! Great view of the sound and close to fun things to do like Seattle Underground tour, Pioneer Square shops and the Piers. The room was clean and comfortable and decorated nicely. Will stay there again.

"Wonderful Stay"
We enjoyed 2 nights here before we left on an Alaskan cruise. That was the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in. It was like sleeping on a cloud! It made the cruise line beds seem like a rock once we were aboard the ship! I did not want to leave the comfy beds, and I will always remember how amazingly snuggly and wonderful they were! I didn't care […] for the limited street space getting into the hotel, it was a zoo trying to get out of the car with our luggage and get inside. Also, our first evening we dined in the bistro for dinner and had the most horrible service ever. The food was great, but service was horrible! We waited entirely TOO long for our drinks, our food came before the drinks! We ate there several other times and service was slow, but not as horrible. They were just very short-staffed the entire time. We did have a large group for breakfast one morning, and they were able to put tables together for us, which was nice. Overall, a wonderful stay--the AMAZING bed made up for the other minor things. Mehr

We stayed at this hotel because of how close it was to pioneer square, pike place market and restaurants. They have a 24 hour gym and a pool, no jacuzzi thought. Their little bistro was perfect for relaxing with friends. But it was little! The service was great though.
