günstiger shuttlelbus nach manhattan,zimmer leider klein und kein abstellplatz für koffer( boden?)zimmertüren verschliessen zum teil schlecht, wird durch freundliches personal und gutem restaurent wett gemacht,günstiges, sehr einfaches hotel

Für eine Übernachtung auf Grund von schlechten Flugverbindungen ist das Ramada in Newark, welches nah am Flughafen liegt, optimal geeignet. Es gibt einen Shuttleservice, der zwar manchmal auf sich warten lässt, aber auf den dennoch Verlass ist. Die Zimmer selber sind sauber und groß. Leider gibt es kein Frühstück, aber Shops in der Lobby, die etwas […] teuer sind. Alles ist für den Preis aber insgesamt sehr gut. Für Touristen, die New York erkunden wollen, ist die Lage jedoch sehr schlecht. Man muss zunächst mit den Shuttlebus zum Flughafen, dort mit dem Airtrain zur Zugverbindung und für teures Geld kann man dann erst nach Manhattan fahren. Etwas günstiger ist es, wenn man den Bus nach Newark (Pennstation) nutzt und dann mit PATH weiterfährt. Für so eine Reise sollten für eine Richtung aber schon 2 Stunden eingeplant werden. The hotel was awful. The first room they gave me, the toilet was dripping but they did let me change rooms. In the next room, which was a bit bigger an nicer, there was a dirtyj towel left on the sink and an ironing board left open in the middle of the room. Also, the advertised free wifi wasn't working the entire 3 days of my trip. And there was no […] mini-fridge in my room. One night we asked the front desk to call a cab and it never came. We wound up just jumping in one that was dropping off someone else. I don't recommend this hotel at all and am disappointed as it is a name brand hotel. Mehr

It was just an ok stay. I expected more of the Ramada Hotel.

It was fine. Wasn't there long. Front was not very helpful with trying to get there from the airport late at night. Then flew back out early in the morning. There seemed to be other hotels closer and more convenient. But it was fine for the purpose of an overniight layover.bkerry

Stayed at this hotel the night before an early morning flight. Check-in was a breeze, the receptionists were lovely. The room was a nice size, although the view is kind of depressing. Its in an industrial area, so nothing much to look at. The restaurant in the hotel, run by a separate company, is way over-priced for the mediocre food they serve, but […] its the only place other than a snack bar to get something to eat. The gentleman that ran the snack bar was extremely nice and accommodating. Overall, the Ramada is convenient to the airport, the staff is friendly, efficient and polite, the room comfortable, and I would definitely stay there again. Mehr

All my needs were well met. the front desk manager was very nice and had me checked in within 30 seconds. the bus picked me up at the airport when promised and took me back the next morning when promised. For the price I paid I received top value for my money. I wasn't expecting the Four Seasons; nor did I want to pay for the Four Seasons. This hotel was clean and comfortable - near the airport. The shuttle was very convenient. The staff were very helpful. There is a shuttle bus downtown from the hotel at a reasonable cost. The restaurant at the hotel was convenient also. I would stay here again.

This hotel felt like it belonged in a horror film. Outdated decor, horrible beds, dirty bathroom, stained carpet, thin walls, disgusting linens, tv with 5 channels on it, and the noise was unreal! The best part of this trip was leaving !! :)

Staff was friendly enough, I guess you just get what you pay for. Supposedly my rate was 40% off the standard Monday night basic rate (via a booking through the hotels.com mobile app), and it was worth it based on the rate I paid. Full-price would be a big overpayment! The place was adequate, dated furnishings and not the cleanest (not dirty or anything, […] just... a little dingy). The hotel was quiet enough, but there was a decent amount of "white noise" (luckily didn't bother me a bit) outside the window, because of the access road and the runway. But to be expected, because this was literally 5 minutes to the airport gates, which was excellent. I'd stay there again, but only if it was for just one night, and I had to be at the airport early the next morning. Mehr

Friendly staff and good value for overnight stay, ended up 2 nights as flight was over-booked. Ate at the bar -restaurant on site and the food was great and service was good, Very friendly waitress on a busy night. Prices OK , and to be expected near airport.

The hotel itself was great; nice bar, free & fast wifi in bar/reception area, nice room with large modern TV and good bed. All in all great value for money if considered an airport hotel. I stayed for 4 days as a NY tourist. The $15/day parking charge, $20 train fare and time spent going back and forth to the city would easily have paid the extra cost […] for a hotel in the city though. SO: If I come back as a tourist, I will stay in the city. If I was looking for an airport hotel, I would definitely come back! Mehr

I usually don't leave comments like but I will this time. I read a lot of negative feedback but after I had already paid for my room. So I was a lil scared as to what awaits me when I get there, but seriously its not bad at all. Yes, the front desk wasn't friendly when I checked in but it was a lot better when I was checking out. I'll stay here again […] if I have to despite the rude lady I encounter checking in. Mehr

I stay at Ramada Plaza quite often but this time the service was very poor. I call Teddys by accident and asked to be transfered to the front desk - the ladys reply was "NO, Im ot going to transfer you.. you need to call yourself" after I explained that my phone was not connecting to any number other then hers.

Paper thin walls and very difficult to reach and I had a GPS!

Nice hotel, but can use some upgrades in terms of decor and furniture.

Good connections to NY

Very comfortable. 24hr food service, definitely what you need after a long flight.

Very close with convenient shttle service to/from EWR airport, good for an overnight

The plug didn't work in the bath which was a shame as it was a lovely deep bath and i could have done with a nice relaxing soak! The transfer bus leaves for the airport every half hour starting on the hour and is very prompt, i got down in reception at 06.00 am and was told the bus left at 06.00am it's now 06.01am , the next bus left at 06.25am so be […] prompt people but good service. The room was clean and comfortable, the location perfect for an early start. It was a good stay. Mehr

This is the third visit we have made to the Ramada Plaza in the past 4 months. Same old, same old...shuttle service advertised as running every half hour but in every single instance, was 50 to 55 minute wait at airport, with only the one stop at P4. Hotel is less than 10 minutes away from P4, so what's with that? Check in disorganized on all three […] occasions. Room and premises satisfactory. Restaurant on site (not owned by hotel) is always cold, noisy and prices are boosted by airport surcharge fees. We will not return to the Plaza. Mehr

Very clean and comfortable room. Only downfall, the main hotel room light didn't work. Love the free shuttle, but waited a little longer than other surrounding hotels. Also, love the 24hr lobby food service. Definately what you need coming from a long trip off the plain, and going to your comfortable room. I recommend it, especially the PRICE!!!! very good location for anyone going into NYC either my train or car. Frontage street is very hard to get too. overall great stay

If you would like to rent a hotel room, very clean, and with a good price, this is a solution for you. The furniture is a little bit old, but practical, and we had a good sleep.

It was a noisy labby upon arrival with a couple of busloads of kids there, so I was a little concerned. I was given a corner room and didn't hear a thing the entire stay though. The room was quite comfortable and the value was excellent!

The hotel was OK - surprised by the $15 parking charge. No breakfast included. There are cheaper hotels close by... Would try alternatives.

There is nothing to do around this hotel and if you want to go to the mall, you have to go back to the airport to catch the $5 shuttle to the mall. Also, if you get stuck at the mall after the shuttle hours are through (last one at 8:45), its a 30$ cab ride back to the hotel. The internet is not the strongest but it does have a good view of the bay […] and the airport. Mehr

I was disappointed I had to wait half hour for my room because they didnt have record of me paying yet. I wanted a king size bed and i got 2 double size beds. it was a very uncomfortable night for my fiance and I.

I would never stay here again. I would rather sleep in car or airport before I give them my money. Staff is rude hotel is dirty security is a joke.

This hotel is freely visible from the freeway, but getting to it can be tough; thank goodness I had a GPS. You have to head down a small side road, and just before you hit the end, there it is. It has a very nice front desk, a decent gym, and excellent waiters and food in the hotel restaurant/bar.

Two of the 3 days there was no hot water. The 3rd day there was luke warm water. The TV service has some 50 channels, but no ESPN channels, most unsatisfactory.

Please no one stay at this hotell . Worst experience of my life

When you first walk in, your immediate reaction is wow, what a nice hotel and lobby. Until you get up to your room. Carpet was disgusting in our room... The tube was dirty... The beds were beyond uncomfortable. It felt like we were sleeping on cardboard and plastic. Not to mention how heavy, dusty and old the comforters were. They have no refrigerators […] or microwaves in the rooms. The hotel is located if I am not mistaken, next to a jail or prison. They don't mention up front that you have to pay 15$ per day for parking unless you ask. When you order from the teddys restaurant downstairs, they add tip to your receipt before you get a hold of it. While the food was delicious at teddys, the 24hr cafe is over priced. The staff is accommedating and nice, but this hotel is a disappointment quality wise. Especially for a hotel near the airport? I would never stay here with my family, nor would I recommend it to a family with children. Okay for the busy business person, on a budget who doesn't intend to spend much time there. Mehr
