Bewertet von Andre B aus "Bremen" am 8. Jul. 2011Der Hotel ist in einem hervorragenden Zustand, da sehr neu. An der Sauberkeit war nichts auszusetzen. Die Zimmer sind für die Preisklasse schön eingerichtet, man hat umsonst Internet, kann ggf. dank der sehr freundlichen Rezeption seine Flugtickets drucken usw. Lediglich haben wir gemerkt, dass das Personal noch etwas unerfahren ist. Wir wurden einmal geweckt, da unser Zimmer verwechselt wurde und bei Bestellung aus dem Zimmer gab es auch Probleme. Nichts gravierendes jedoch. Wie bereits erwähnt, gerade die Rezeption konnte uns mit vielen Tipps gut weiterhelfen. Das Hotel ist ca. 10 Minuten Gehen vom Zentrum entfernt, also deutlich besser situiert als die meisten Hotels. Man hat es auch nah zum Flughafen und der alten Busstation für eventuelle Ausflüge nach Chapala. Also vier Sterne!

Sehr wahrscheinlich wurde dies bewusst so gemacht, wegen den Sicherheitsproblemen in Mexico. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen, schönen Gegend, in einem Vorort von Guadalajara. Service, Komfort waren sehr gut. Leider kein Fitnesscenter, was ja bei den wenig Zimmern auch nachvollziehbar ist. Das Hotel ist empfehlenswert, auch wenn der Preis für Mexikanische Verhältnisse relativ hoch ist. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch dieses Hotel den bekannten 5-Stern Hotels vorziehen.

I always stay here when I go to Guadalajara. The price is right and the rooms are clean and good sized. One of my hotel requirements is the in-room safe and the safe here is adequate but could be a little larger---my iPad will not fit in it. Our view from 213 was very nice facing the park.We did hear cars honking, and police sirens off and on, didn't bother us in the least, no different than staying in any other big city. Besides the small miscommunication between the hotel and hotels.com it was a very good stay. The hotel was in a good area, the service was great, and it was very clean. It's not a fancy hotel so don't expect too much; it's a great deal for visiting the city and we didn't spend too much time indoors. This is the 2nd time I stayed at Portobelo and have been impressed both times. The rooms are always clean. The rooms are quiet (I stayed in a room facing the street and had no issues with noise). The staff is very helpful (although not all speak any English). The surrounding location has a lot to choose from in terms of food (there's also a 7-eleven […] across the street). The subway train has a station right outside the door. The restaurant was not great. Didn't really care for the breakfast buffet, but really other than that, this is a GREAT hotel! The location if this hotel is ideal. You can walk down Ave. Juarez to the right to downtown (centro) past stores. If you walk left lots of parks and restaurants. They need more lighting in the rooms or higher wattage in both the bathroom and bedroom. Its kinda dark most of the time, other than that the rooms were great, centrally located and in walking distance to anything downtown. The hotel scent maybe a little strong. Its a plug in perfume thingy, you can just remove it. There are cabs that pull right up, […] the tapio tour was even nice enough to drop me off in front of my hotel at the end of the night. I found the Location, staff, FREE WiFi, Accessibility to Mass Transit Excellent! I have stayed at hotels in GDL's Centro Historico and found this hotel comparable. This is a great hotel for the price. The service was great, the location wonderful and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern, and clean. One day they did not leave towels in our room called the front desk at 6:00 a.m. and they brought them up within five minutes. the hotel is modern, clean and located in a perfect spot for walking the Center. Good parking. The fresh fruit selection is wonderful, many manly-men warm dishes also available as part of the 80 pesos/person all you can eat breakfast. For the rate, it is a great accommodation for business like travel. Free wi- fi Internet connection in the room, hair […] dryer, little safe box and even an iron. Flat screen TV, but since we don't watch TV, we don't know what programs are available. 100% cotton linens, very quiet climate control, comfortable mattress, and not strong cleaning chemicals are used. "Affordable and friendly staff"
Stayed for a week the room looked clean and well maintained almost like new. I felt safe and there is free underground parking. One of the light bulbs burned out and the issue was resolved quickly. The park across the street played really loud music, the mattress is rock hard, and there were so many one way streets it took me a while to find my way […] back to the underground parking. Great hotel for the price. Brand new place and the staff has kept it looking very nice and comfortable. Tours pick you up from the front lobby and drop you off again,saving you time and money on taking a taxi to a pick up location. The underground metro stops at the corner, there are plenty of bus lines within walking distance, plenty of restaraunt […] choices as well as bars and night clubs in the area. Everything was wonderful even the breakfast buffet that you pay 85 pesos for. Room was awesome, water pressure on shower was great. The only thing I didn't like is the receptionist gave access to my room to my mother without my concent while I wasn't there. perfect. a/c was very good. 32in tv had 55 channels with movies / room service was very reasonable and good food. front desk was friendly and spoke very good english . only down side was the park across the street. they seem to have someone all night on a loud speaker . so if you can, get the rooms faciing away from the park. tacos half block away were […] 40 cents and delicious. highly recommend portobello. get room online, it is 20 dollars cheaper than walking in for a room. thanks hotel.com MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

This hotel is worth the money. The room is very clean and very nice. But the food is horrible and the service is OK...the walls are thin though, which is a minus...however this hotel is worth the money because A. It's cheap, B. Quick walk to a bunch of food places, and C. The hotel is VERY CLEAN and looks great. However, don't waste your money on the […] food.
