Clean and comfort but pretty far from downtown However i will recommend to my friends if they want comfort hotel with cheap price.

Families beware. This hotel is located right next to a brothel.There is nothing wrong with the Hotel per se; but there are tons of hookers all over the street--day and night. So, if you are visiting with a family, unless you want to spend time explaining to your children the facts of life, maybe you should consider staying somewhere else.

The hotel is about a 10-15min easy walk to the centre and close to the metro stop Yzer (about 3 mins). We were confused by the map in the station which had different street names to what the street Rue Van Gaver is off is called (the map said Rue du magasin, but it's first left from Rue des Commercants). There are a lot of prostitutes around the area […] but it did't feel threatening at all and they were friendly rather than hassling you. You might not want to bring the kids though. The hotel itself is modern and smart and the double/twin room we stayed in was nicely furnished and clean as were the bathrooms, spotless in fact. The room was cleaned and towels replaced every day. The hotel is a converted townhouse so there's a few flights of stairs and no lift but it wasn't really a hastle. The hotel has free wifi and the reception staff spoke good English and were helpful on where to go. They also went out of their way to find us an adaptor when my phone ran out of battery! The hotel provided real value for money compared to some of the others that were available the week before Christmas. Mehr

The hotel was okay, typical of maybe a 2 star....the beds where good and the room was neat since it was loft style, our kids loved that. But it was uncomfortable, the rooms where sterile. ( Now I realize this is okay in a lot of European countries, but it was definitely awkward.) Across the street was literally a hotel for working girls to take their […] clients. My husband and I couldn't leave our hotel room and go to our car without both of us going. The women would proposition him and the creepy guy clients would come on to me. Made being in the hotel room very unappealing. Would never stay here again!!!! Mehr

Great hotel but the neighbourhood is a red light district and very hard to find the hotel sign a size of a stamp also in the middel of a one way street.

The hotel itself is quite nice but small. Rooms are tidy and clean. Staff friendly and service-minded. However, I cannot really recommend this hotel to families with children. The street outside the hotel is lined with prostitutes.

Rooms are correct, but the hotel is located in the middle of the prostitution area of Bruxelles

The Hotel itself was excellent, clean and tidy. It is not a destination hotel, more of a place to just sleep while spending most of your time out and about. It is in the red-light district but the girls were not a problem if you didn't approach them. In fact they were helpful in finding the hotel because there isn't a big clear sign.

This was exactly as I was hoping for. No fuss no intrusions just smiling helpfill staff in a very sadifatory hotel. Will be back next year same time.

We were very pleased to be offered an upgraded room, separate from Concierge and w/o telephone, but very, very nice. Coffee cup in bathroom was dirty (not very pleasant) and sink plugged up b/c drainer did not work properly. Fairly quiet; neighbors settled down and loud people in street did not keep us awake. I know the concierge informed us they often […] call police about the prostitutes and transvestites, but they keep returning. I did not feel comfortable walking down the street of the hotel and did not feel safe at night in this neighborhood. Without my husband, I would have been very concerned. I protest the presence of "hookers" outside your hotel, which is reflecting very poorly on your business!! The afternoon of 9/27 and morning of 9/28, the concierge was professional, welcoming and helpful. The concierge on 9/27 evening changed our taxi time for the morning (good job!) but he told us to be very careful about the North Train Station, that he had been robbed there at 6 am. We found the station to be very safe, filled with people at 7:30 am. Mehr

Could not find this hotel late at night. Prostitutes all over the front door and the sound of their clacking heels on the street outside was not comforting. BUT, the desk clerks were pretty nice about us arriving late. Wouldn't recommend this hotel nor would I recommend the city. Too many rough looking characters following us around.

The street repairs are all finished. It is as described in terms of location, minutes from the centre. The prostitutes do not hassle you and actually helped us located the reception and the 'annex'. It actually feels a very safe area. Great room, loved the mini kitchen, clean and comfortable. Hotel receptionist very helpful. My best hotel of the whole […] trip. The Theater hotel was a great choice for my friends and I during our overnight stay in Brussels. Located not too far from the Gare Noord station, it was a 10 minute walk to the hotel. We arrived shortly after check in, but had to wait 30 mins until the room was fully ready, it was not an issue for us, but maybe for others it could be. The room was 2 […] floors, with a pull out sofa bed for 2 on the first floor (along with the bathroom, desk, and TV) and the 2nd floor had a queen bed for 2 with night stands and large shelving instead of a closet. Everything looked straight from IKEA. I loved the 15 foot windows, though, they flooded the room with light, making for a rich feel. The beds were very comfortable, and everything was clean and fresh. The shower was tough to use because the water is not well contained within the basin (though I feel this is an issue with many European style showers), but there were plenty of towels to help offset this problem. The water was hot and clean too. The only issues we had with the place was that our door did not close smoothly (we were warned ahead of time to be careful with it) and at night we could hear the prostitutes walking up and down the streets (it was more amusing than anything else). While there are many prostitutes around, the 3 of us (2 girls and 1 guy all 21 years old) had no issues walking back late at night. The women do not bother you at all and the area is well lit and we felt safe. Still, this doesn't mean one should never not be aware of their surroundings. Overall, the stay was highly enjoyable and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and comfortable hotel to stay in! Especially for price, we couldn't beat it! 1. For me,full kitchen was provided(this is awesome) 2. Walking distance to downtown(Actually, Brussel is small city) 3. Surrounding is little bit scary. Women in the alley seems prostitute of course they will not harm you but little bit scary surrounding especially at night. Front desk and Hotels are different building. If you are alone or your party […] is all made of women, you might feel scary. 4. Wifi is really nice. 5. Most of all, Fantastic price. Mehr

The room itself was OK. The location was awful. It was on a side street where there happened to be road construction going on and there was no access by car to the hotel. One small sign was finally located to alert to traveler to its location. It is in the "Red Light" district of the city. Rather scary. The service was poor. We didn`t get into the hotel […] until 6 am, and the desk clerk would not allow us to stay past the regular check-out of 12 noon. We were very tired and asked for an extra hour to check out but he wouldn`t allow us the "late" check-out. The breakfast was 8 Euro, way to much for what was offered. Try somewhere else Mehr

Hotel is located in a prostitute zone. Street is also currenlty under construction, so it makes it every hard to navigate with luggage. We were on the 4th floor ... and hotel hotel has no elevators. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others.

We loved this hotel! Much better than anticipated. The beds were all very comfortable and clean. The room looked like it was straight out of an IKEA catalog, in a good way! There were 4 of us traveling, 1 couple, and 2 friends. We were pleased to see that there was 1 large bed for the couple, and the 2nd bed was 2 smaller beds pushed together, with […] their own sheets and blankets, so the 2 friends could pull them apart easily. There was a full kitchen set up, with plenty of dishes, a refrigerator, and a stove top. Looking at a map, it looked like a long walk to the city center, but it actually took no time at all, which was very good. The hotel itself is fine and good standard for the price. It is not well signposted and difficult to find. The surrounding location is not great which makes looking for an address more difficult

The hotel was newly renovated or built and it ha a very modern feel. However, the area around the hotel was not that great and even though it wasn't too far from the city center we still took a taxi back.

It was an absolute aweful experience while staying at the Theater hotel in Brussels. The hotel is in a locality where there is constant presence of prostitutes in front of the hotel. The hotel is still under construction, there are no elevators, no phones in the room and THERE IS NO RECEPTION/FRONT DESK. For any questions we have to walk over to the […] front desk which is 2 buildings away which is extremely difficult and annoying. Mehr

From the lobby(?) we were unsure of how the room would be- but once we turned the key, our doubts were dismissed. Only complaint was that they posted that a hairdryer could be provided upon request- but when I requested, they could not find one. Bed was wonderfully comfy, black-out curtains are a plus, and after you were a block away from the hotel, […] the walk to Grand Place was pleasant. Four travellers all from 22-25 years in age. the Theatre Hotel is a good hotel for travellers, only a short minute walk from the metro which leads straight downtown. Nice small included breakfast with all the necessities. Sure there are quite a number of prostitutes on the street and surrounding area, but honestly we never once felt threatened or worried […] regardless of the time of day. Even when getting back around midnight, we felt safe. The only downside? There seem have been a few business travellers that stay at this hotel. If you plan to leave early in the morning to sightsee, you are competing with them for the hot water. Otherwise, Theatre Hotel Brussels is a fine stay. Mehr

convenable compte tenu du prix très bas. Accès aux chambres par un escalier très étroit, peu éclairé. Environs de l'hôtel envahi par les prostituées. Nous ne reviendrons pas dans cet hôtel. La situation est pratique à proximité du centre ville.

L'hôtel est dans une petite rue de prostituées, mais aucun problème avec elle. Au moins quand on rentre tard dans la nuit, y'a toujours quelqu'un dans la rue. C'est pas un hôtel de grand luxe, mais la chambre était propre, spacieuse, décorée avec goût. Il est pas loin de la grand place (15 minutes de marche environ). Très bon hôtel. Belle chambre, confortable, bien équipée. Seul bémol: il n'y a que 2 chaînes de TV mais regarder la TV n'est pas le but de voyage

Hotellet har vel-indrettede og vedligeholdte rum. Da det er fordelt over flere bygninger, kan man blive nødt til at skulle hen ad gaden fra reception og morgenmad for at komme til sit værelse. Morgenmad er god, ligeså kaffen, ikke så billig som værelsesprisen kunne indikere, men til gengæld bedre end på tilsvaren hoteller i Paris eller London. Der er […] masser af hjælpsomme mennesker i området der gerne viser vej. Og kommer man med metro, står man af på Yser (300 m) og kommer man med tog er det Gare Du Nord (1 km) du stiger af på. Mehr

Hotel situe dans les quartier chaud il y a des prostituees tout autour de l'hotel mais elles ne nous ont pas derangees .. Le personnel de l'hotel est tres sympas et disponible !

찾기 힘들고 도심과 좀 떨어졌지만 중심가에서 걸어서 15분 정도 거리였다. 그저 약간 뒷골목같은 분위기였지만 호텔상태나 청결도 등에서 아주 만족했다. 가격등 따지는 사람에게 추천해주고 싶다. 약간의 뒷골목분위기이긴 하지만 그렇게 까지 위험하지는 않았다.

Helt okej hotell med sköna sängar, bra duschar och hjälpsam personal. Ambitionen tycks ha varit att efterlikna något slags minimalistiskt hotell och man lyckas nästan, i alla fall på ytan. Finishen är inte riktigt där, men de grundläggande bekvämligheterna fungerar. Det fanns till och med en liten arbetshörna i vårt rum. Till nackdelen eller vad man […] ska kalla det... Varken jag eller min flickvän är särskilt känsliga, men vi blev aningen överraskade då vi närmade oss hotellgatan och det stod en drös prostituerade överallt. Ja, detta tycks vara nåt slags mini-red light district i Bryssel! Och även om det varken var bullrigt eller någon plats där man känner sig otrygg så kanske man ska tänka två gånger när man planerar en romantisk weekend eller ska dit med sina tonårsbarn om man vill undvika pinsamheter. Estuvimos este diciembre durante tres noches. El hotel está muy bien. el desayuno es completo y la bollería recién hecha. El personal es atento y habla español. Lo único malo e importante es que está situado en un barrio de prostitutas, pero no son molestas.

Hotel sympa avec quelques touches design situe a 15 minutes a pied de la Grand Place. Les chambres sont simples et confortables et honnetement vu le prix des chambres le rapport qualite / prix est bon. Le quartier en revanche n'a franchement aucun charme, avec quelques prostituees (gentilles au demeurant) dans la rue de l'hotel.
