Ich habe 2 Übernachtungen im Sandy Beach Hotel verbracht. Das Personal dort war sehr nett, wer aber nur etwas Komfort erwartet und vor allen Dingen ein halbwegs sauberes Zimmer, sollte dort nicht übernachten. Sorry, aber die Zimmer können nur als dreckig bezeichnet werden, zudem sind die Zimmer extrem klein und das Bad ist nur etwas für Leute die keine […] Scheu für Schmutz haben. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr schön, aber die Zimmer müssten dringend renoviert werden, und vor allen Dingen anständig geputzt werden. Mehr

Lage des Hotels sehr laut bis 4 Uhr morgens; Erdgeschoßzimmer durch Hotelbetrieb ab 6 Uhr laut; begrenzter Service( z.B. kein Föhn); freundlichers Personal; bei schlechtem Wetter ungenügende Aufenthaltsmöglichkeit im Hotel;

Die Leute sind wahnsinnig nett und der Service ist super. Das Frühstück ist auch gut! Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber sauber - das wussten wir ja vorher. Alles in allem: Jederzeit wieder. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Das Hotel wirbt mit dem Kreuzfahrtspezial und dafür ist es auch weiter zu empfehlen. Hervor zu heben ist die Strandnähe, ein kleines Frühstück war inclusive. Im großen und ganzen o.K., aber nur für Kurzaufenthalt, als Urlaubshotel würde ich anderen Standart wählen.

Angenehmes Hotel, Zimmer mit miserablem Ausblick, aber man kommt ja nur zur Übernachtung. Frühstück im Freien, das ist ok, solange es nicht regnet oder geregnet hat. Hotel ist ok, wenn man sich nicht immer dort aufhalten will. Mit Bus ist Alt-San Juan gut erreichbar. Strand ist gut und direkt um die Ecke.

Das Hotel liegt in Strandnähe, ein schöner Strand, und hatte eine 24-Stunden-Rezption. Aber ansonsten ist das Hotel renovierungsbedürftig und unsauber. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht in Ordnung. Für eine Nacht ok, aber nicht für einen Urlaub von einer Woche oder mehr.

The beach was nice and close. I felt safe and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, within walking distance. The desk clerks were very nice. If you don't need anything fancy, this is great. I would stay at the Sandy Beach again.

Good thing I wanted to be in PR any way I could. Room not very comfortable with weak AC. Woke up to NO RUNNING WATER one morning. Showered with hotel provided store bought gallon jugs of water. Very close to beach (right on beach) but not worth it if extended stay (2 plus days). Though easy to get around from hotel location.

This hotel rooms are absolutely horrible. The cleanness of the room and conditions are horrific. The hotel was dirty, unkept, stains on walls/bed and dirty bathrooms. The breakfast was pathetic at best. The ongoing construction in the day are loud and dirty. The only amenities are: beach proximity and location.

It is a 2 star hotel. It is older, and still uses keys. The staff is REALLY helpful. They let us stow our luggage after checkout so that we could spend time on the beach before we had to go to the port. The breakfast is typical continental, which is nice to grab a quick bite before going out for the day. Internet was free. It is really convenient: there […] is a Walgreens within 2 blocks, and many restaurants in the surrounding area. It is halfway between the airport and Old San Juan. It is one building off the beach, so I would go swim and then walk the 40 yards from the water to the outdoor shower and rinse off, then go back to the beach and dry off. There is a patio on the roof that has a view of the beach (there is a builiding that is beach front, so you have to look around it to see, but you can see the beach to the left and the right of the building). Again, it is a 2 star hotel, and it is aging, but it was fine for what we needed it for. Mehr

The hotel is really old, very uncomfortable for a family of 4, great for one person. If you are going for just the beach it is a great place to stay. Room is very small, AC is on the window, very american breakfast.

I did not expect much for the price. I was just looking for a spot to stay prior to boarding my ship. I was pleased at the location and friendliness of the staff. The bathroom could use some updating and water pressure left me shaveless, but, heck... i'm on vacation..

It was a great spot to spend the night before catching our flight in the morning. PROS: Great staff, very helpful, fluent in english. They had a secure storage room where we were able to lock our luggage while we waited for our room to get cleaned. The bathroom was beautiful and spacious. CONS: the walls were thin so you could hear what was happening […] in the next room (we could hear their tv and them being intimate). The comforters had one or two cigarette burn holes and they were outdated. If you can deal with the cons, it's definitely worth the stay, especially if you are only staying for a few days or less. The staff really made the stay great. They were very friendly and helpful. Plus it didn't hurt that it was more or less right on the beach. If we ever stay in San Juan again, we'll probably stay here again. Mehr

We arrived at 8 am but were given our room immediately, and offered light breakfast as well! Very friendly, helpful staff. Our room was quiet though we could hear the breaking surf. An ugly big cement condo has been squished between the beach and this sweet old hotel, but beach access is still the same. Our room for three was large, clean and comfortable […] with WiFi access, TV with mega channels and a fridge. We had to leave at 2:30 am for our flight and the all-night desk clerk arranged for a quick taxi. Everything we wanted in a great location in Condado (next to the Marriott) for $120 all in for 3. Decent little hotel in a great location. Nothing fancy but clean and nice staff. Real draws, aside from price, are the beautiful beach just a few steps from the door and proximity to the heart of the Condado district with other fancier hotels, restaurants, night clubs, shops, and casinos just around the corner. Street parking only.

it was a nice small hotel to stay at if you just arrived in san Juan and want to spend a night before moving on. It was within walking distance to the beach and to restaurants . the area seemed OK and not in a bad area. and plenty of places to eat nearby. it provided a continental breakfast so didn't have to go anywhere to get coffee and kids break […] fast. Hotel was in a good location but the room was dark and the sheets did not appear to have been changed. About 6 in the morning we could hear alot of loud talking and the clanking of carts and dishes. I would not stay here again. Too noisy and not clean.

Cllean and comfortable, staff extremely helpful with airline problems. Right on the beach, near bus service. Garden room was gathering place where guests chatted and enjoyed relaxing. Great mid-priced hotel.

Great location, just at the door you have the beach. You have a convinience store just a block away. A lot of restaurants and a great area to walk around. Inside is not a great thing, small bathrooms. But for the price you pay is a very good deal. The only bad thing is that we had to wait like an hour for our room. room was not as clean as expected. reserved a queen bed but got 2 twins (only thing available according to hotel),noise in morning as they set up for breakfast at 6 am.No parking available at hotel or on street of hotel.Have parking for $10/day but only 2 spaces available and they were already taken.

We stayed two different nights in two different rooms. The first was fine the second if you where sitting on the toilet and leaned forward you would hit your head on the wall in front of you. Noise from the gay bar next door made it hard to sleep the first night. There is no parking and I had to pay to park 4 blocks away. The second night I parked illegally […] in front of the hotel, it was the middle of the week and did not get a ticket but we where out at 7 AM. Nice breakfast and patio. Mehr

The staff is very friendly and helpful. This motel is right on the beach and within an easy walk to a Walgreens and restaurants, and several other types of stores. It has a courtyard to sit at and offers a continental breakfast. It does need some cosmetic updates but it all depends on what you are looking for in a room close to the beach. We picked this hotel because it said it was a cruise special which included shuttle from airport to hotel and hotel to port. When we got there and called for shuttle they informed us they had no shuttle.

Good for a short stay prior to cruising...The big pool (ocean) is across the street..Staff was great..breakfast included. Rooms are quite small, old, but clean. Hotel is being newly painted.

The hotel room was adequate. It was clean enough however there was always sand on the floor. Also there was a couple days where they took the dirty towels but did not replace them with clean ones.

The Sandy Beach is a no frills experience but the attendant clerks are very friendly and helpful. You have to indicate by card if you want your room cleaned the following day. Taxi service stand is directly across the street as well as a pharmacy/grocery store. Beach only a block or so away. and the hotel will provide beach blankets or you can rent […] a bed on the beach. Candado area is strictly touristico but your really there for the weather and sun, a bargain in January or February. I'd stay again and, as always, you get what you pay for. . Mehr

Ok for price. Very small older hotel right on the beach. Taxis out on the street.Area restaurants very good. Room was very small and cramped and not enough towels in bathroom, only two which smelled of bleach and rough. Quite a few places in room were very dirty... louvers, screens and lightbulbs.Beds were clean and comfortable and the A/C was digital […] and efficient. Noise level from outside low. Lamp broken off lamp. VERY loud room all night due to discos and bars a block away, nd thus very hard to sleep. In the morning the hotel lobby and halllway was loud since we were on the first floor.

Older small hotel 3 floors, not on beach high rise condo in front of it 20 steps from beach. Marriott Hotel next door, 24 hour Walgrens on corner of Condado St and Ashford 5 min walk. Ashford many Cafe's/Restaurants/Sport bars/ 3 Casinos, Jazz Club & Restuaurent combo 10 min walk. Bumper to bumper slow moving traffic on Ashford at nite one way 2 lane […] Street with sidewalks both sides. Poor management, bed linen and towels not clean. I travel with linen and towel when staying at 2 or 3 star hotels did not utilize hotel linen/towel. Was in room 204 king bed, rooms 204,205,304, and 305 on Condado Street side but provides a partial beach view from windows. Safe mounted on wall in closet length in vertical position approximately 2 ft off floor 4 x 11 x 16 will accommodate a small laptop. Stayed 4 nites would not stay again. Mehr
