Das Hotel hat eine sehr günstige Lage um mit der Metro oder mit dem Bus die Stadt zu erkunden. Viele kleine Läden sind in der Nähe in denen man sich mit allen Sachen versorgen kann, die man so benötigt. Egal ob Bäcker, Lebensmittel,Friseur, Massage oder Restaurants, es ist alles in nächster Nähe. Durch die Lage des Hotels in einer kleinen Seitenstrasse […] war es Nachts ruhig und nach einem erholsamen Schlaf in einem bequemen Bett stand für mich fest, dass ich hier ganz bestimmt noch öfter übernachten werde! Das hotel liegt etwa 10-15min vom bahnhof gare de l'lest entfernt und ist zu fuß leicht zu erreichen. unser zimmer war sehr sauber, jeden tag wurde das bett gemacht und die handtucher gewechselt. alle wichtigen plätze und sehenswürdigkeiten sind von der metro, die so ca. 3-5min vom hotel entfernt ist zu erreichen. das frühstück war uns mit 9€ zu teuer. […] die angestellten vom hotel waren freundlich und haben sich große mühe gegeben uns weiter zu helfen. das einzig wirklich negative sind die dünnen wände, sollte der zimmer nachbar fernseh schauen hört man so gut wie alles. ich persönlich würde das hotel nochmal buchen und auch weiter empfehlen für den preis hat es sich wirklich gelohnt... Hotel ist sehr sauber und hat alles was man braucht. Das Hotel liegt an einer guten und ruhigen Lage in der Nähe des Metros. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

Das Hotel ist in der Nähe von der Metrostation Oberkampf(2min. Fussweg), von dort aus verkehren 2 Metrolinien, eine dirket zum la Fayette. Das Hotel ist an einer ruhigen Lage. Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber sauber, auch der Lift funktioniert. Das Zimmer wurde bei uns täglich hergemacht. Es ist sehr empfehlenswert, es war ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Everything was fine - one note that stuff does not speak english properly so I decided not to complain about the room we booked with bath but got with shower. The other room our friends were stying in was almost the same like in the picture - so it was great. Our one was not that type at all - but was clean and OK, just a bit dark. Close to Oberkampf and Republique metro station, clean (but small) rooms, some bars, cafes and food stores near the hotel. Good value for money!

Great stay! The front desk people spoke english and gave plenty of information. They were great!! They had a computer we could use on the first floor and the elevators were working. We went in March, so the weather wasn't hot, but a little cool, so we opened the windows, but I'm not sure if it had AC. They had a safe in the hotel room (big +), but you […] had to pay for the breakfast. Close to a metro and near great cafes! Fine and clean hotel, but low value for money. Next time I will opt for something either more cheap or more expensive.

The hotel was very easy to find, down a side street just across the road from the Oberkampf Metro station. Place de la Republique is about 200 metres away. The front door is unlocked by the desk staff, so it's quite secure. It's quite small but, unusually for a smaller Paris hotel, it has a lift to all 6 floors. The room was very clean, with a large […] double window opening onto the street. There is a late-night bar just up the street whose clientele were a little noisy on the first night, but we did have the window open! On the second night, we kept the window closed and it was MUCH quieter. There was no bath, but the shower was really powerful, which is not always the case. We would definitely stay here again. if you are looking for a cheap hotel thats clean and is close to the Metro the trains literally run underneath the hotel which you can sense but we did not think was too big a issue this is the hotel for you, its a short metro ride from the Eurostar station the staff are friendly and it has free internet access which is a big plus ,plenty of places […] to eat in the area overall a good place to stay for the price Mehr

We stayed at the Hotel du Nord et de l'Est in March 2012, and we loved it. The metro stops right in front of the hotel, and it's also very close to Republique where there is a lot of taxies, metro and buses. You can't beat this place for the price. Americans will find the shower / bath to be small, but that goes for most Euro hotels. The staff was excellent, polite, helpful, informative. The location is great for the money. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The lift is small so it can take a while to catch it, thankfully we only had to use it for our luggage. The room was small but clean, it could do with some updated, someof the carpet was stained and some wallpaper was peeling but nothing major. The only major downside was […] that the toilet was located near the room door and was quite small to squeeze into. The wash basin and bath/shower were located on the other side of the room which was a bit awkward when you need to wash your hands after visiting the loo. The HD TV in the room was quality, not that we used it much anyway. Free wi fi was a massive bonus as it meant we could search for places to eat and plan our day on google maps before setting out. overall I would use this hotel again as it provides great value for money. In general the hotel is fine, but there is a lot of noise. We could hear someone snoring in the next door room, sounded like they were in there with us. Most people allow their doors to slam when they leave, which reverberates around the building. Also can hear metros passing underneath. But considering the price and location it is more than fine.

Small room, but nice size double bed, good bathroom. Woken by electric drill on the first morning, could not tell whether it was from inside or outside the hotel, and the next morning by the banging of heavy things going upstairs - maybe the building was being renovated? If it was I wish someone had told me, with a little apology! Oh yes the Metro rumbles […] under the room I was in, but it didn't run through the night thank goodness. On the whole it suited my/our purposes, convenient for Metro, buses, local shops, bars and restaurants without being 'touristy'. And quite reasonably priced. One thing I missed - no coffee in the reception area, which I thought I had seen mentioned on the website as a feature of the hotel. For a stay longer than the three nights I booked I think I would prefer something with a bit more comforts like tea/coffee making in the room and a bit more leg room; but for a short stay, I'd go back there again. My title pretty much sums up this hotel. Very satisfied with hotel. Location is not bad either (8/10). My only complaint is that the heating was not working properly and it got a little chilly in the room. But other than that, my stay at this hotel was great.

Stayed here for a few nights over New Year's Eve. Easy location right by the Place de la Republic metro station. Clean and good room. Only downside is that the walls/ceilings are a bit thin, so we could really hear what was going on around us, but it wasn't too bad. Overall, it was a good hotel at a reasonable price.

Very clean and comfortable in a great location next to metro stops and places to drink/eat late and have breakfast in the morning. Walls are thin but nothing to stop me staying again as it was great value for money and when all you are doing is sleeping there it is perfect.

Very reasonably priced hotel, two minutes walk from the Oberkampf station! The pastry shop around the corner was an added bonus, and the facilities were top notch. As tourists, we mostly were in the room to sleep, bathe and check email - a small, clean room and bathroom with free Wifi were the perfect fix! What a lovely little hotel! I was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived, having read a few less than favourable reviews on trip advisor. The hotel staff were very friendly. We arrived early (check-in was at 1:30pm) and we were able to get straight into our room. The room itself was very cosy, not a great deal of room but then I wasn't there to spend […] my trip in my room. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless - they looked like they had been freshly decorated. The only slight downside was that the toilet was in a different room from the bathroom and the sink so you would need to head through the bedroom after going to the toilet to wash your hands. The bed itself was very comfy, which is a must if you have spent the full day walking round Paris! We didn't go for breakfast in the hotel, there is a bakers on the corner of the street that did great coffee/pastries/filled rolls which worked out a lot cheaper so we opted for this every morning. Hotel was in a great location and there was lots of amenities round about - restaurants, shops, bars,supermarkets and metro stops. The only downside of the hotel was that the walls were very thin, and you could hear a lot. fortunately for us we didn't have noisy neighbours. Having visited Paris before and stayed in other hotels this just seems to be the norm for hotels in the city so I'm sure this will be an issue anywhere you go so I can't really mark the hotel down for that. All in all a great stay, very relaxing and I would definitely return to this hotel :) Mehr

Reasonable hotel for tourists who intend to spend the most of time outdoors - situated very conviniently close to Republique metro station where several metro line cross. Very plain, simple room with no decoration and a bit outworn wallpapers. The bed linen and towels were clean. Overall, the room and bathroom were clean. We stayed in room 30 and it was very noisy. The metro runs under the hotel and you can hear it every 15 minutes. There was no shower, only tub hair dryer didnt work and when we asked to change rooms they said no. The room was clean and safe.

Most reviews we read were accurate- hotel room is of typical Parisian size, was very clean, helpful staff in a good area between Republique and Oberkampf Metro stops. The neighborhood was very safe and there were tons of restaurants and cafes nearbye- I would say less touristy than probably many of the other places flooded with hotels, which probably […] translated to better value on dining(if you can call anything a value in Paris) than the more touristy areas. We were traveling with another couple and trying to keep expenses down and had absolutely no complaints. While this was not the Hilton or the Ritz, it is definitely a recommended hotel and we thought an excellent value. Mehr

A nice clean quiet hotel close-by to metro and restaurants. Would go there again. Breakfast is a little expensive - 9 euros. Overall good value for money and the location suited our needs for strawling and sightseeing and shopping well.

Great solo place. I had a double room with my own shower, which would have been too small for two people but terrific for one. The breakfast is convenient but at 9 euro, quite pricey. Great service. Wish Hotel.Com provided better directions. Might be hard for folks with young families. Lift is not large enough for a stroller.

The hotel was fine, very basic but clean and pleasant. The beds weren't the best, some odd hard spots, the wifi is free but spotty at times. But for a place to sleep totally fine. The biggest drawback is the noise from within the hotel. Every door that closes, people speaking too loudly or listening to music in their rooms, you can hear it all. And […] people walking above you. So earplugs are a must! Close to the metro and in a pleasant neighborhood. If you're a walker you can get to the main sites in about 20 minutes and it's a nice walk. About what you'd expect for a 2-star hotel. Carpets were stained, walls thin, towels fairly thin. However, the room was clean and fresh linens provided daily. If you're on a budget and the stains on carpets don't affect your sensibilities, I would recommend it because it's in a great location close to Metro, patisserie at one end of the block and a […] cafe at the other, many restaurants nearby. Far enough from major tourist areas to get a better rate but if you like to walk you can get to the Louvre in 30 min. Free use of computer in lobby was a nice perk. Mehr

Everyone's different, but for what my wife and I needed from a Hotel in Paris for 2 nights, this was perfect. The location was perfect for us...walkable to restaurants and bars, and close to the metro to get to other neighborhoods. I've been to Paris many times, so I didn't need tourist info from the desk, I knew how to get around by walking or metro from where we were, and I knew that I didn't plan on spending much time in the room. It was basically just a clean room to get back to, fall asleep, and wake up, shower, and head back out. If that's all you need, this is perfect. Also, I always stay in this neighborhood in Paris. It's near an open-air market on Bd Richard Lenoir, and Rue Oberkampf has many restaurants, bars, and stores (mostly food related). Long, but nice walk to Marais which also has many restuarants and nightlife. Oberkampf metro stop gets you to almost anywhere with a max of 1 connection. Safe at night, decent boulanger down the block for breakfast, etc. Mehr

...but don't expect a lot of room :) This hotel is located near Place de la Republique which is a neat area filled with shops and restaurants. It was nice because it wasn't too touristy. The room was clean and small and had all the basics. We stayed in the summer time so the only climate control we needed was to leave the window open. However, the […] window opened out to the courtyard below and it was quite noisy at times. Noisy because other people had conversations in their room with their window opened. I imagined if we could have kept the window closed, it would have been much quieter - but c'est la vie! We didn't spend too much time there since we were out on the town so the room works perfect if you only plan to sleep there. We thought the breakfast was a bit pricey (€9) but there is a great little cafe/market around the corner called Chez Jean - we ate there every morning! Free Wi-Fi was a great perk as well. The Elevator is smaller than a telephone booth :) If you have a lot of luggage - plan to make a couple of trips! Mehr

Charming little place in Paris, close to some cool neighbourhoods and easy access to metro. Folks quite nice.

Convenient location next to Metro stop, meaning easy access to CDG airport. Room (and hallways, elevator, reception area) were very small but in typical acceptable European fashion- fine for single, would be difficult to accommodate a family of four. Major design flaw for my room- hot water pipes for floors above me were located exposed in my bathroom, […] which acted as a radiator, cranking out heat 24/7. Made room very uncomfortable to sleep, and I wasn't about to leave the window open where someone could easily enter from an adjacent room. Mehr

My husband and I enjoyed this hotel due to the atmosphere it has. This hotel is perfectly situated near the metro and great restaurants! The staffs were friendly and speak English. The room is small but very clean and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Fint hotell med ok standard over hele linja. Bra beliggenhet, fint område og nær tbane!

Hotelli oli todella hyvä hintaansa nähden. Lähellä metroa, hotellin henkilökunta oli ystävällistä sekä palvelu oli hyvää. Huone oli pieni mutta siisti. Siivooja kävi jokapäivä. Aamupalaa oli myös saatavilla jos sen halusi hotellilta ostaa, tosin se oli niukka sekä hieman hintava. Kaikenkaikkiaan hotelli oli mukava ja siisti.

O hotel é ótimo para casais, especialmente com malas grandes, pois tem elevador. O staff ajuda bastante, com dicas e apoio para agendamento de táxis ou outro tipo de transporte. Do lado de 3 estações de metrô e inclusive perto o suficiente para uma caminhada até o Sena. Gostamos muito!

Rigtig godt, fint hotel, en seng og et bad. Super beliggenhed 2 min gang fra Metro knudepunkt. Og alligevel ingen trafikstøj på værelset.

Fint ophold. Lille værelse med ældre og lidt slidt interiør - dog ikke madrasserne, der var fantastiske. eneste reelle minus ved værelset var lugten af røg, selvom det var et ikke-ryger værelse. Rengøring og udskiftning af linned skete dagligt. Standard og værelse passede fint til vores behov, en forlænget weekend, hvor man kun bruger seng og bad, idet […] man er rundt i byen hele dagen. Mehr
