no bath towels in room. Temperature of the room was too hot and couldn't open the windows because no screens on windows.

The Inn was a good value compared to other hotels/inns although it is not a new building, and somewhat shabby interior, but clean and comfortable. I liked the location which was near to the Hospital for Special Surgery where i attended an information session. The surrounding area felt safe and it was a good location from which I could walk to Central […] park, and all the way to Times Square and Penn Station for my train...That took over an hour to walk, but if you are in to walking then its not a problem. The management of the inn was helpful even though I never met them. Mehr

We stayed at the Gracie bed and breakfast for 6 days in total between Christmas and New Years. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was just what we were looking for (away from times square in the residential area of NY). It is a decent walk to the subway if you plan to use it (think it was 5 avenues - long blocks in NY - and […] three streets - shorts blocks - to the 77th street stop for the green line 6 train), but close to the Met museum of Art. Very easy to hail a cab right outside the door...The gracie Mews restaurant on 81st and 1st Ave is the best diner I have eaten at in NY (I grew up there)...the matzo ball soup and the breakfast sausages were great (everything was really good)! Good pizza at 80th and 1st ave too... The room was very spacious for NY and had plenty of storage. Small kitchen area with Microwave, refrig and sink with cutlery and plates and pans. Breakfast was just as requested (pick 4 items per person out of about 20 - including the NY Post) and there right at out requested time...the location is residentila and quiet at night - no street noise keeping you awake. The minor bad points are that the hotel could use a bit of maintenance, nothing major just not up to date...and a minor cleanliness note (sheets and bathrooms were clean but found major dust uner a beaureau). Overall great place to stay and decent price I will likely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone... Mehr

We stayed at the Gracie Inn years ago with our children and had a pleasant experience, so we were looking forward to returning. This time we were very disappointed. Our room was called a suite with a kitchenette, a separate sitting area and a flat screen TV. It was, in fact very small. The kitchenette was along one wall of this small room, the "sitting […] area" was a worn armchair in the corner and the TV was about the size of a computer screen. The mattress and bedding were clean and looked fairly new, but the rest of the space, especially the bathroom, was not clean and in need of a major facelift (broken dresser drawer, grimy tile grout, dust behind the bed, etc.) In addition, we were there Christmas weekend and were told that there would be no breakfast served Christmas morning, but they would leave breakfast items out near the office. We saw a few granola bars and some fruit left on a counter....who ever heard of a hotel not offering service on a holiday? (and the rate that night was $25 more!) Since we live in the suburbs not far from NYC, we decided to leave early--Our room at home was much more comfortable! Mehr

First of all: Remember you are in the Upper East side of manhattan, and the Gracie has very low cost rooms for this area. The hotel was clean, the pillows, comfortable and sheets quite wonderful. The mattress was a bit old, and too soft. The room was small, but had a little kitchenette with small full oven, fridge, microwave and a sparse set of dishes, […] plates and pans. A little table with chairs in the room is where you eat, and they bring your selected breakfast items on a tray and leave it by your door. For breakfast we selected bagel, english muffin, juice and yogurt. All were good quality and fresh, but that gives you an idea... the breakfast is simple, and you get two items per person, but can order more for $2.50 each. The place is old, there isn't a lot of staff, but they were helpful and nice. Overall, we liked it, and will stay there again. Mehr

The best part of the stay here was that the bed was confortable. Customer service definitely needs improvement- we had to ask for a hair dryer, spoons for breakfast, batteries for the TV remote. The rooms are heated by a pipe from a boiler so there is no room control-there was a window airconditioner unit that had a 2 inch gap that allowed cold air […] to enter the room. We had to ask them to fix this and they stuffed a towel in the gap-which did help with the heating problem. Breakfast was continental-brought to the room suppossedly within a 30 min window which rarely happened and they didn't necessarily have what was on the menu-we ordered a banana the first two days but got pears instead. The metro is a good 20 minute walk. Our room faced the street so there was a lot of noise at times-mu husband resorted to ear plugs to sleep better. All in all not a bad place but with just a little work they could be so much better! Mehr

Overall cheap, but wasn't very clean. Would not stay there again.

charming cozy b&b, kind owner and staff, genuine service, mile east of Central Park!!! quiet, friendly neighborhood, grocery store one block away, starbucks as well... all in all, fabulous stay, completely satisfied, and happy with what Gracie's inn had to offer...

A great bed and breakfast!! Very clean, friendly staff and owner/ Daniel. The rooms are great with your own kitchen, tv and a very generous breakfast :-) Great value for money, if you dont mind walking it's 20mins to 5th Venue+ central park then another 20mins to times square. I would highly reccomend I loved it!

The hotel was in a good location. The room on the fifth floor was fantastic. the room could have been cleaner and the breakfast was cold items, delivered to the room, such as hard bioled eggs. That was a disappointment. Thank goodness Starbucks was close by.

petit hotel sans prétentions et agréable maisbeaucoup de choses sont à l'avenant : personne pour nous accueillir à l'arrivée et la porte principale fermée à clé avec un numéro de téléphone pour se faire ouvrir pas facile quand on maîtrise mal l'anglais !!!!!

När vi kom till hotellet var det låst och på dörren fanns en lapp med telnr som man skulle ringa. Tack och lov fungerade en av våra tre mobiler i USA. Vad hade vi gjort annars........ Fick då intruktioner om nyckeln som lika gärna kunde skickats via mail. Rummet var ofräscht. Damm lite överallt. Inte ens en extrarulle med toapapper fanns så en kväll […] var vi utan. Fick säga till när frukostbrickan kom. Ingen ursäkt för att man missat en sådan sak som borde upptäckts vid "städningen". Bäddningen bestod i att man slätade till överlakan och filt men inte underlakanet. Knarrig säng. Frukost OK, men mer kaffe och te än bara en mugg var hade varit bra. Iskalla ägg. Eftersom vi skulle byta hotell och samma dag besöka en bekant. En resa som tog en tim var väg, frågade vi om väskorna kunde få stå kvar på rummet. No problem, sa två personer. När vi hämntade väskorna fick vi en utskällning för att vi inte lämnat kvar nyckeln. När vi frågade om väskorna kunde man ju talat om för oss hur vi skulle gjort. Enda gången vi såg någon personal var när man lämnade frukostbrickan. Personalen skall väl finnas tillhands för gästerna de tider som vi är å hotellet och inte på dagtid när gästerna är ute. Att driva ett hotell är inte ett 9-5 jobb på vardagar med lediga helger. Vi kände oss inte välkomna. ALDRIG MER DETTA HOTELL!!! Mehr

Lille B&B hotel , slidt men fint hvis man skal sove og bade der , venlig personale vær. slidte men fungerende subway i gåstand , central park tæt på masser af spisesteder i nærheden alt i alt et ok udgangspunkt til en shoppe tur i new york

Cute B&B - like having your own apartment on the upper East Side, without having to make your bed or preparing breakfast! The owners/operators are really friendly and eager to assist in making your NYC stay pleasant. Great value! A fantastic option if you wish to avoid over-priced NYC hotels with their nasty carpets and noisy surroundings.

Hotel correct, quartier agréable, assez loin du métro tout de même et c'est le principal défaut. Le ménage n'est pas fait tous les jours mais globalement la propreté reste acceptable. Accueil sympa.

Sødt og hjælpsomt personale. Rene håndklæder hver dag var super. Det gjorde ikke noget at hotellet er gammelt og slidt (der hang ledninger ud fra vægen og der var uafdækkede elinstallationer). Men den manglende rengøring var et stort minus og trækker desværre i den forkerte retning. Værelset var ikke ordentligt rengjort før vi ankom. Og selvom vi rykkede […] for rengøring (især støvsugning, skete der ikke noget. Støvet lå tykt under sengene og badeværelset blev ikke rengjort de 8 dage vi var der - ret ulækkert. Det villle også have været dejligt at få skiftet sengetøj en enkelt gang når man har sovet i det samme i 8 dage. Der manglede kogekeddel/gryde samt glas og kopper som forsvandt i forbindelse med oprydning af værelset. Vi har lidt på fornemmelsen at der var bed bugs men det kan have været myg - selvom vi ikke lige kunne se dem!! Lidt synd for det kunne have været et super hyggeligt lille sted. Mehr

Ficamos muito decepcionados com o servico de limpeza oferecido pelo hotel. Quando chegamos havia roupas do hospode anterior nas gavetas e garrafas pela metade na geladeira. Apos alguns dias resolvi olhar debaixo da cama, onde encontrei garrafas vazias e muita sujeira. Nao recomendo este hotel.

lamentablemente el lugar, que podría ser un hotel boutique, adolece de una falta de limpieza tremenda.tierra y mugre debajo de las camas, los baños no se limpian, solo cambian toallas, la loza no se limpia, se economiza jabón y shampoo, en sintesis, un desperdicio, lo cual convierte un precio aceptable en un valor demasiado alto.
