The Palace Side Hotel - Kyoto

It's close to a subway station, and next to the kyoto imperial palace park area. You can rent bikes at the hotel, which was a good thing. The rooms are ok, but could use some maintenance soon. it's ok for like 3 nights. altough i might prefer another hotel next time.

Great hotel, great service, great location. It's def no five star but was pleasantly surprised. We had a spacious room, good view of the park across the road. Food was ok but no complaints because that's what I expected. Not to close to the hustle and bussle of the city but easy to get to and from, also subway station just a hop skip and a jump away. […] Staff were really helpful and friendly. A happy couple Mehr

A friendly, clean and well maintained hotel. It had everything you could ask for including a prime location. I would highly recommend it. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Hotel was almost literally across the street from palace entrance. Short walk from metro and many city bus lines that go to all the major attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but quite normal for Japan. Bank and post office also within walking distance.

A relaxed and easy place to stay in the centre of the city - convenient transport to all areas. Good to be close to the green spaces of the Palace grounds - and also to enjoy the music and art events. But the best thing was the bicycle hire! By far the best way to see this city!

The Palace Side offers great value for its price. I have stayed in Kyoto hotels that are double the price but offer rooms that are the same size and service that is also the same. The only down side is the poor internet connection--it was completely down twice during the 10 nights I stayed there. The front desk was very apologetic.

We stayed at the Palaceside in April. Location wise it is a bit out of the way, it is in a good spot for the Imperial Palace but little else. It is however well connected, being on the tube and near several bus routes which go more central. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The hotel decor was a bit dated but was clean. it does seem to be the […] cultural hub of the neighbourhood with recitals in the lobby, which was a lovely treat. It is near a very good all-you-can eat vegetarian buffet which certainly suited by vegetarian travelling companion!! Mehr

Le personnel de l'hotel est parfaitement qualifié, les chambres sont grandes mais dans l'ensemble l'hotel est très vieillot ainsi que la déco!Malgré cela, le séjour a été parfait

Os funcionarios sao muito gentis. Ha maquinas de lavar e de secar para utilizacao dos hospedes a precos modicos. O hotel esta um pouco velho mas nada que atrapalhe a estadia e o preco foi o mais barato que eu paguei no Japao. O quarto twin era amplo para padroes japoneses. Fica a 300 metros da estacao de metro. A cidade e bem servida por onibus e vc […] pode comprar nas estacoes de metro o passe para um dia para o onibus e vale a pena. Mehr

Bom hotel a um bom preco. Comeca a dar sinais de que precisa de uma reforma mais nada que prejudique a estadia. Os funcionarios sao muito amaveis. Fica a 200 metros da estacao de metro e voce pode ir aos principais templos (Ginkakuji, Kinkakuji e Kyozomidera) de onibus - compre um passe de um dia nas estacoes de metro. Fornecem yukata (roupao) e chinelos […] nos quartos. Voltaria a me hospedar neste hotel. Possui internet a cabo nos quartos, wifi e computadores no lobby. Ha alguns restaurantes e lojas de conveniencia num raio de 500 metros. Mehr

Hotellet ligger alldeles intill kejserliga parken och palatset. Nära till buss- och metrostation och bra förbindelser med tågstation. Bra restaurang på hotellet. Tjänstvillig personal.

駅から近く、部屋もきれいで快適でした。アメニティーが、もう少し充実すればいいですね。　　

部屋の内部は快適でした。入り口ドアにのぞき穴があると一層良い。

スタンダードツインで宿泊しましたが、価格の割に部屋も広くきれいなので満足でした。夕方までは一階のレストランでのパーティーで賑わっていて、やや壁が薄いのか音が気になりましたが、夜はとても静かでした。スタッフの対応はとても良かったです。

場所はすごくいい。京都御所のすぐ隣。コンビニは駅まで行けばある。 インターネットは無料。ドライヤーもある。 浴衣は借りるのにお金がかかる。 フロントの対応もいいし、満足です。

The location is just fine, few minutes walk from the subway station. Just at the opposite over the main street there is Imperial Palace with its broad boulevard-like park streets and cherry blossoms in spring. Very pleasant place to stay in Kyoto, indeed.

Estuvimos en este hotel a mitad de septiembre de este año. El hotel está al lado de una estación de metro y aenfrente del jardín Imperial. El personal muy amable y con buen nivel de ingles. Las habitaciones sencillas y comodas, aunque el baño un poco pequeño. El desayuno abundante y sabroso. Un hotel con mucha afluencia de extranjeros.
