ein gutes hotel mit freundlichen personal.

Das Meininger Hotel ist eine Mischung aus Jugendherberge und Hotel. Alle total unkompliziert und sehr nett. Preis/Leistung ist in Ordnung. Lage direkt an der Messe. Leider wenig Restaurants und Bars etc. in der Nähe. Preisgefüge trotz Messezeit sehr gut.

wer wert auf ein modernes hotel mit allem was man braucht für wenig geld legt ist hier genau richtig, die lage neben der messe ist etwas abseits aber mit öffentlichem verkehr ist man in 10min am hauptbahnhof

quite a long walk from the train station messe and to the nearest tram station as well. its basically in a convention area where they have trade shows etc. cab fare to airport costs about thirty euros. but clean and pretty reasonable.

This was one of the best cheap hotels I've stayed in. The lobby and communal areas have the feel of a hostel, and the rooms have a comfort and quality of a 4* hotel with modern furniture, TVs, and bathrooms with shower cubicles. Free Wifi is available in the lobby, along with snack food and drinks and comfy seats. I only ever saw twentysomethings during my stay, and I think it appeals only to that age range. The hotel is placed excelent for people that come for excebitions in the Frankfurt Main Messe.

the Meininger is a good urban hotel. It was very conveniently located to the train stop, so it was easy to hop on a train and go to more tourist areas to find restaurants. We appreciated free WiFi in the lobby.

For a hotel in Europe, this is a great price. Positive: Price, location near train Negatives: One room card access per room. Room card needs to be plugged in the room to turn on power including TV and A/C (not really AC but more on that later). When one occupant needs to go outside, can't bring the room card access which is a big nuisance. A/C is not […] really AC but more like a fan. When it's cool outside, room temperature is warm and there's no way to make the room cool. Very limited towels, you need to go to the counter downstairs to get towels. Internet is free in the lobby but you will have to contend with smoke coming from smokers outside the hotel but since the doors are open, smoke comes in. Female staff during our stay was obnoxious. She is always in a rush and pretends to work but is merely on the internet. She scolded me for taking a bread knife to open a beer bottle. They were swamped in the counter so I did not ask. I should have have fell in line to ask for one of the two (sometimes one) person in the counter who were always busy attending to people checking in/out. EUR 7.50 for breakfast is too much. Parking is almost non-existent. You need to figure out how to drop-off passenger and luggage is there is absolutely no room on either side of the building unless you are going to risk traffic congestion or even accident if you leave the car on the road. There is no sign where to drop-off. Parking inside the curb is acceptable if you can manage to squeeze through barriers. Over-all, experience is OK. Male staff were very nice except for one obnoxious female, skinny with glasses. Mehr

We liked this hotel. It was difficult to get to from the main train station. Even though it wasn't very far from the train station, it took a long time for the bus to come along. Once there, we had to get a taxi to take us into the main part of town. I think that we could have taken the subway, but we decided it would just be easier to take a taxi. […] The room was clean and very modern. We liked it. There were not a lot of extras. We needed one night's accommodation and Meininger Hotel was the choice. Pros: - very friendly staff - cheap - near to S-Bahn (400m) - free WiFi in lobby - close to Messe - very clean Cons - not near sights, need to use S-Bahn - room cooling not effective (???). Booked it because it is close to Frankfurt Messe - literally 5 minutes away - where i was attending a Convention. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and spoke fluent English. The room was simply but adequately furnished with hairdryer, TV, etc. Bed linen spotless. Room and bathroom spotless. Could not hear traffic when window shut. I am a poor sleeper […] but did not hear a sound from my neighbours or the corridor. Had best night's sleep in weeks . Used their downstairs toilet which was also spotless (c 12 noon). Early checkout but you can sit in the lobby as long as you want. Moderately priced snacks available, and you can order food from outside to be delivered to your room, with no delivery fees. It doesn't get any better than that after a long tiring day. I will definitely be staying here again since I plan on attending the Book Fair. I stay in European hotels frequently and I highly recommend this. In fact I emailed my friends and clients as soon as i got home to recommend it. Mehr

I couldn't tell from the Hotels.com website, but once I entered the lobby and saw that they called themselves "Urban" I knew that it would be small. We had a room with 4 twin beds (2 were together to form a queen) and it was so tight that 2 people could not pass each other. A new hotel that is all about style on a budget (think well known international Swedish furniture retailer) but not much substance. Hotel is located in the 'middle of nowhere'. Signs proclaiming it to be 'around the corner' are grossly exaggerated. Took 20 minutes at least to walk from the sign! No shops, cafes or any place to buy anything in the immediate […] area. S-Bahn train is reasonably convenient at a 5-10 minute walk. Hotel is immediately next to a main road & train line -literally- with a vast building site across the road. Windows open directly to the road on one side and the hotel's smokers congregate on another side, with endless fumes entering your bedroom window -should you dare to open it! Rooms clean, sparsely furnished but comfortable. A hotel for those who enjoy being in the middle of nowhere, with the constant hum of traffic noise and fume filled air. Mehr

Ett nybyggt och fräscht hotel med trevlig personal. Fina rum, om än något små. Gratis Wi-Fi i lobby och matsal. Något knöliga kuddar. Ljudisolerat!! Bra pris!!! Rekommenderas!!

Все на высшем уровне, отличный вид на город, спокойно и чисто.

2011, may, (friday) 13th: Very good price value, nice comfortable (small) room, no bath, good service (even at 1:00h am), area around hotel is very modern with lots of contemporary architecture in a open urban setting, feels good and very safe, right next to public transport, more than enough public parking space (free) around the hotel.

Nuevo, confortable pero sin estacionamiento y no internet

This is a friendly and convenient hotel just a very short walk from the Fair Area. They have clean and cosy, though quite compact rooms and a very helpful and positively oriented staff. The breakfast was rather good too, so there's no need going out in the morning. My overall experience is one of class A.
