Wir sind im April 2012 um Ostern 5 Tage in einem Apartment untergebracht gewesen. Wir waren mit dem Aufenthalt zufrieden. Das Apartment als auch die Anlage waren sauber und gepflegt. Die An- und Abreise waren unkompliziert, die Rezeption freundlich. Die Kommunikation in englischer Sprache kein Problem. Als Anmerkung bleibt uns nur das verwendete Reinigungsmittel. Es hinter ließ einen gewöhnungsbedürftigen Geruch in den ersten Tagen. Im Ort sind ein Bäcker als auch Restauarants und Pizzerias problemlos zu Fuß zuerreichen. Supermärkte im nächsten Ort oder in Martigues gut mit dem Auto zuerreichen. Zu empfehlen ist ein Besuch von Marseille mit der Bahn. Die Bahn hält im nächsten Ort. Von da ca. 1/2 Stunde Fahrt an der Küste entlang (sehr beeindruckend) bis nach Marseille. Man steigt direkt im Zentrum aus!

Das hotel ist trotz der nähe zum Flughafen und der Autobahn sehr ruhig. Im Sommer kann man auch noch ein weilchen auf einer sehr schonen Terasse am Pool entspannen. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Preis und Leistung - sehr gut.

Wir waren nur für einen kurzen Wochenendaufenthalt da. Es war Anfang Mai - also außerhalb der Saison und wir ergatterten eines der Meeresblick-Zimmer zum Schnäppchenpreis. Das Hotel liegt außerhalb der Stadt, was wir aber eher als angenehm empfanden. Der "Meerblick" ist OK aber nicht optimal, denn man hat zunächst mal eine Pferderennbahn mit kombinierten Golfplatz und eine Betontribüne gegenüber. Dennoch kann man aber vom Meer genug sehen und wir erlebten einen wunderbaren Sonnenuntergang. Das Hotel ist sehr neu und dementsprechend befindet sich alles in einem sehr guten Zustand. Einziges Minus ist die Konstruktion der Dusche, die man eigentlich nur benutzen kann, wenn man eine Totalüberschwemmung des Bades in Kauf nimmt. Das Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit und nahm sich für all unsere Belange Zeit! In der Hauptsaison würden wir sicher nicht hierher kommen - in der Nebensaison aber jederzeit gerne wieder.

Das Hotel liegt zwar etwas ausserhalb des Zentrums, ist aber mit der Metro oder mit Bus in weniger als 10 Minuten erreichbar. Der Stadtteil ist sehr angenehm, von der stark befahrenenen Avenue du Prado bekommt man nicht viel mit. Auf der Av. du Prado findet jeden Tag (ausser Sonntags) Markt statt - da kann man sich mit allem eindecken. Es gibt um das Hotel herum viele Restaurants, Pizzerien und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Insgasamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden bei einem nächsten Marseille-Besuch das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.
Für zusätzliche Personen können Gebühren anfallen, die abhängig von den Bestimmungen des Hotels variieren können.

This is the usual Holiday Inn Express - modern and clean with a reasonable breakfast. It is very conveniently located if you are travelling by train, being across the road from the main railway station. Not in the most interesting neighbourhood, but only 10 - 15 minutes walk from the Old Port and other sights. The rate includes a good breakfast - the […] usual cereals, cold meats, cheese, fruits yogurts etc, plus juices tea and coffee. If you need any more there is a supermarket next door (turn left out of hotels). Rooms are typical Holiday Inn Express - smallish but well serviced and adequate, with tea/coffee making facilities. We had a room at the back and it was very quiet considering the hotel location. Very clean and comfortable with good service. Close to train station so very convenient. Not a long walk to the harbor and city centre also.

This is my kind of place -- the room is snug with all the essentials, very efficient layout, you're not paying for more space than you need. The Holiday Inn Express Saint Charles is just across the road from the TGV station and a short walk to the Vieux Port. Convenient location - right across from TGV / Metro station. The only improvement I wish to see in them is that either they should have more staff or more staff training for them to be able to multi task because they have a bar right next to the front desk which is supposedly open until 2:00 am but there was no one there to serve. We sat there for a […] long and no one attended us. A great location for having arrived in Marseille late in the evening since it's situated right outside the St. Charles train station. If you need to catch the train early in the am, it's also an ideal choice. Breakfast was quite good with nice service and hotel was very clean. The condition of the hotel is very good since it is so new. It's very clean and the size of the room is good. The staffs were all amazing and helpful. Breakfast was very good as well (juice, ham, yogurt, bread, fruits etc.). The best is its location - it is right across from the train station which was important to us since we took the train to other […] places a lot. It was about 20 to 30 mins walk to the main city center, which wasn't too bad. But there were some "strange" people at night so need to be careful with your wallet. One night, on the way to the groceries store, one guy said something to us on the street and we ignored him (I didn't understand him, I guess he was speaking to us in French and we don't speak French). He followed us for about 1 block and we quickly went into the groceries store as soon as we got there. "Clean and Efficient"
The hotel was clean and efficient with decent sized rooms. The location was convenient for the train station, however, that area of town is not great for a tourist. I had expected this so overall my opinion is very positive.

"Holiday Inn Express, Marseilles"
I would highly recommend this hotel. It's proximity to the Saint Charles train station was literally a hop, skip and jump across the road, so within minutes of arriving in Marseilles, we were freshening up in our lovely fresh hotel room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able to leave our luggage there after checking out.

"Hotel de qualité dans environnement tristounet"
C'est un hôtel de très bonne qualité. Il est situé juste à côté de la gare Saint-Charles. On entend pas les trains, mais un peu les voitures (au 2° étage en tout cas). C'est un peu loin de coin plus sympa comme le vieux port 15-20 mn à pied, mais 5 mn en métro.

A proximité immédiate de la gare, et à 10 mn à pied du vieux port. L'environnement est un peu moyen, comme pour toutes les gares, mais sa situation était idéale pour une famille non véhiculée. L'hôtel est très bien, calme, et le personnel accueillant. Petit déj. sympa et copieux. À noter que pour une famille de 4 personnes (2 adultes et 2 enfants), […] nous avons eu une chambre double dans laquelle il y avait un grand lit et un canapé lit, d'où un côté exiguë non prévu...
