We spent 3 days at the hotel and it was wonderful. The rooms were clean and housekeeping came in everyday and made the beds and left clean towels. The pool and the spa were great. The breakfast was plentiful each morning. The staff was very friendly and super helpful.

Its not really a bad location, although it is about 25min from the cruise port. It is easy to find , but its in a TOTALLY industrial area. The one positive is that the room was big and spacious, it even has a couch, however the hotel staff is very unfriendly, and the continental breakfast is at total joke. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was newly renovated and the hotel was close to one of our favorite restaurants. The entire hoter had a really bad oder. We did not like the fact that the door would not open to the outside,you had to go down the hall to go out side. Will not stay at this hotel again.

The hotel worked fine, staff was pleasant, parking was secure, rooms were clean.....Hotel seemed low on money but doing the best with what they were receiving. Lobby was too warm due to little or no air conditioning. However, the rooms were fine and maid service was good.

Really pleased to get this room for the price. I wanted to stay on Galveston Island but because we needed two rooms the price was out of the budget. I was very pleased with the hotel and the room. The main thing holding this hotel back is the smell. The workout room reeked of mildew, couldn't stand inside for more than a few seconds once the smell hit. In our room, there was water leaking out of the air conditioner onto the floor, probably lending to the room's unique musk, much to the dismay of my girlfriend. The iron in our room was broken […] so I traded the desk for a different one. The one they gave me worked but it took a cue from the air conditioner and started leaking on the clothes. The location of the hotel was great, only about 10-15 minutes away from Galveston. I booked the hotel 2 nights before our mini vacation. Great price for what we got. The room did smell a little weird but we opened the window and turned the a/c on and the smell went away. We were only there when we slept and for breakfast so not much to complain about. […] Over all it is a good place to stay if your just wanting a place to sleep and have something to eat in the morning without paying extra. The room was interesting, a small kitchen set up w/o a pan or fork. The beds were hard, and the continental breakfast was frozen waffles and cereal. The coffee pot didn't work, and they did not include anything other than one coffee filter/pack. No cream or sugar! The desk clerk was nice. We left after one night of our 3 night adventure.

spa and pool looked dirty. lighted sign on street had some letters not on. although it was a thursday i expected better breakfast for the price.

Dead bug leftovers on the wall, strong smell of cigarette and cigar smoke even in non-smoking room. Breakfast was frozen waffles thawed out, mini muffins, and "orange" juice- not worth the trip to the lobby. No elevator so if you have kids or lots of stuff request 1st floor. In addition, we left in the am to the beach, got back at 2pm and our room had […] still not been serviced, and were unable to have this done b/c it was our baby's nap time. Also, we asked for an additional blanket, and were told they didn't have any When I went with the night desk attendant to the stock room for a sheet/pillow, I saw a whole room full of them. The owners and management are stingy, and cut very big corners to save money. Please spend the extra $30 and stay somewhere else- we learned our lesson. We have lived in a 3rd world country and backpacked abroad- we are not being pretentious about this- it really was that bad. Hostels with bunk beds and communal showers feels like a 5 star hotel compared to this place. You get what you pay for, well not really. Mehr

We were there to see our grandchildren. The lights went out for over 2 hrs and the management would not answer the phone to let anyone know what was going on. The hot tub was not working the first day until we complained and they fixed it. At night after a long day at the waterpark we would lay down to watch a little TV and the cable would go out. And […] it did not matter what time of the day you turned the TV on the cable would go out. You know you need something to keep a 1 and 3 year busy so everyone could get ready. Also upon arrival the lady at the front desk tried to tell me that I needed ton check out on Friday night I advised her and gave her paperwork that said Saturday. She was not please with that. No hot breakfast like stated, very limited breakfast. Room was nice and clean, but the workers were rude. Toilet backed up one night and had to call for a plunger and at 10:30pm the worker called the room for it back after we were told to just leave it in the room. He wake us up for that. The staff seemed put out when I called for information. They seemed further put out if I dared ask any questions while I was there. There was a large dead spider in the middle of the lobby floor for all of the three days that we were there. They advertised in-room microwaves. It was there, but never worked. I was told to go through the lobby into the […] dark and unlit breakfast room to use that one for the entire three days. There was one sheet and one bedspread on the bed. Wireless is unusable unless your in the lobby, the pool is inside and unheated as is the jacuuzzi, no towels, have to use your room ones, then exchange. Maybe your replacements won't have holes in them. The breakfast is 5 til 8, don't get up early !!!

The room was great for the price! The furniture was lovely and our room's ceiling had a pretty painted sky with clouds on it! My girls and I loved that! I had read the previous reviews about this hotel and it was rated well. I have to say that this is one of the nastiest hotels I've stayed at. The carpet was tacky, the room smelled musty, and I refused to use their shower because the towels smelled horrible. The bed wasn't comfortable, there wasn't a blanket on the bed, the pillows were flat, and the […] sheets didn't smell clean. Also, there was evidence that a drink had been dropped in front of the bathroom door and splashed up on it, wasn't cleaned up. May be why the carpet felt sticky and tacky. Several reviews rated this hotel harshly. You can tell that the hotel is older and I have no problem with that. The clerk and cleaning ladies were very nice. Good option for people visiting Galveston. Much more hotel for the money off-island than on. Rooms were spacious and well furnished. I especially enjoyed the clouds painted on the ceiling.
