Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 25. Aug. 2012Die nachfolgende Bewertung basiert auf einer Rundreise durch den Westen von Kanada, bei der wir 18 Nächte in 10 Hotels verbrachten. Die Hotels lassen sich daher untereinander vergleichen, was aufschlussreicher sein dürfte als Vergleiche mit dt. Maßstäben. Sun Peaks war anfänglich nicht auf unserer Reiseroute vorgesehen und wurde nur deshalb mit eingeplant, weil der Weg von Jasper nach Whistler für eine Tagesreise zu weit schien. Rückblickend erscheint es eher als Glückfall, dass im trostlosen Clearwater keine Unterkünfte verfügbar waren, weshalb wir nach Sun Peaks ausgewichen sind. Ein sehr schöner und nobler Wintersportort, ganz im alpenländischen Stil erbaut. Das Delta Sun Peaks Resort & Hotel dürfte dabei die erste Adresse vor Ort sein, weshalb der ausgewiesene Übernachtungspreis wohl als Sommerrabatt zu sehen ist. Hinzu kamen allerdings Parkgebühren im Innenhof des Hotels. Die hätte man sich auf dem allgemeinen Parkplatz bei den Liftanlagen vielleicht sparen können. Das Zimmer entsprach den Erwartungen, die man an ein Hotel dieser Kategorie stellen darf, wobei die Beschreibung in Hotels.com in einem wichtigen Punkt nicht zutraf: Deluxe-Zimmer gehören hier zur niedrigsten Kategorie und verfügen deshalb generell über keinen Balkon! Dessen ungeachtet zählt für uns das Delta Sun Peaks Resort & Hotel zu den TOP 3 in unserer Hotelreihe und kann deshalb bestens weiterempfohlen werden.

Me and my boyfriend stayed over night at this hotel while looking for jobs/place to live in Kamloops. Waste of fifty bucks! It was very cold in the room and we had the heat on all night, it was like sleeping on squeaky cement :( the beds were SO bad, didn't sleep much at all. I'd rather have slept in the car. I chose this place as the rate was the cheapest for September and it was in the area in which we wanted to stop. We knew this was a budget accommodation and nothing fancy. The location was just what we needed and the price was fair. There are a lot of choices in the area and we picked this one because of the outdoor swimming pool. However when we arrived, there was no water in it. It had been closed all summer and had turned into a shallow pond from rain water. I […] told the manager we were disappointed that the pool was closed and we should have been told of this ahead of time. He said he would take off $5 each of our three rooms so that we could afford to go to McDonald's for dinner. After this rudeness, we cancelled our reservation (the agreement states we were paying for the first night regardless) so we stayed for one night instead of three, and went 500 yards away to the next place and gladly paid more for the rooms there based on a matter of principle. This isn't a complaint, because it was the cheapest hotel available which is what I was looking for. Hotel is old and lacking in maintenance, however if you are looking to save money this motel served its purpose. Bed was comfy and the floors were vacuumed. Tijdens onze trip door canada zijn we hier 1 nachtje verbleven. Van een Motel hadden we vooraf niets verwacht, dus tijdens aankomst waren we blij verrast dat onze kamer er echt goed uitzag.
