Am Anfang gab es paar nicht so tolle Sachen, das Zimmer stank sehr nach Rauch und war ziemlich klein.Beim Buchung wurde uns Dusche und eine Badewanne versprochen , hatten aber nur Dusche! Personal war aber sehr hilfsbereit und am nächsten Tag haben wir unseren Zimmer bekommen, wie gebucht!Danke dafür! Alles andere war einfach sehr sehr gut! 10 Punk […] e! Mehr

Das Hotel kann ich nur empfehlen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig. Es ist alles neu und sehr sauber. Mein Zimmer war nur etwas zu klein. In der Dusche konnte ich mich fast nicht umdrehen (nichts für Dicke).

sehr zentrale Lage (Old Town) für eine Besichtigung von Riga, reichhaliges internationales Frühstück, hervorragender Service, kostenfreies Wlan, Standard-Zimmer ein wenig klein und man hört den Autoverkehr bei geöffneten Fenster, dafür Klimaanlage und sehr schönes Bad, alles neu und sehr sauber. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Gutes und preisgünstiges Hotel. Freundliches und hilfreiches Personal. Die Lage um die Altstadt zu Fuss zu erkunden ist optimal. Ruhige Lage.

Zimmer sehr klein, im Badezimmer wurde vom Personal geraucht, so dass es ganze 4 Tage noch nach Rauch stinkte, für 4 Sterne erwarte ich, dass man auch nach 12 Uhr noch das Zimmer macht, ansonsten gute Wahl, gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, super Lage, einfach zu finden...

Lesson No.1. Find the adult channel, remember the channel number and try to avoid it unless you have a very understanding/cool sister in law! Seriously, it's a nice hotel in an area that allows you to walk to pretty much anywhere in Riga. The city and courtyard view didn't appear to exist. I think the courtyard was a gravel car parl opposite the hotel […] and an apartment block blocked what must have been a city view at some stage. Would stay again without the expectation of great views. Room was large and warm (on a cold spring evening) and hotel was clean with a great free breakfast. Enjoy Mehr

Great modern hotel in old town with a good location. Very friendly staff. Close to bus stop to/from Airport. Clean room with all modern amenities (including free tea/coffee facilities + free WiFI). Good breakfast in the morning. Only one minus - very thin walls between rooms. I could hear next room guest were snoring all night and it was very annoying. […] But in overall hotel is very good. Though the people were freindly, efficiency was average. We had to change rooms as extended stay and though they committed to clean the room slept with the smell of smoke all night.

This hotel is fine, nothing special, quite dated, and a bit worn. The surroundings are mostly derelict buildings or vacant lots. However just a few streets away there is the heart of the old town so it is very convenient. It felt safe for a woman on her own travelling on business. No wifi, just computers in the loby for which you pay per use, is not […] really on in 2012!! I think I got a great deal on Hotels.com, I overheard a walk in being given a higher rate. If you want something modern or upmarket you won't like this, but if you are happy with clean and convenient, this ticks all the boxes. Mehr

Everything is the best - location,stuff,cleaning and BREAKFAST!!!

Located in the heart of the old Riga, nice clean rooms, good breakfast. Building is the old one so you can hear neighbours steps, doors shutting, but that is still ok. And they have Vodka for breakfast!

Location - is perfect,everything walking distance.Very friendly stuff,The best breakfast in the world (after 17 years traveling).Very clean,very good price.Now I have only one hotel in Riga - Old Riga Palace Hotel.

I recently visited Riga with my husband and another couple. We chose the Old Riga Palace as it offered good value for money. Our room was tiny, with barely enough room to walk around the bed without bumping into furniture or walls, but it was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless which was a big plus. The beds are very firm, but I like […] a firm bed so it was great. The room did get very hot, but if you vent the window, then it is very comfortable. The location was great. Just a few minutes walk to the center of the Old Town with lots of bars/restaurants. The folks at the front desk were also very helpful. They helped us with directions, etc... As mentioned by other reviewers, the breakfast buffet was not great. Not a very good selection and the quality of the items were not very good. On the second morning, we opted out of breakfast at the hotel. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend it to others. Mehr

Nice hotel in a quiet but accesible location. The room was a little noisy as we were near to the reception, but that would be the case in any hotel. Excellent service from the staff and the evening meal we had was very nice.

We've been in the Old Riga Palace Hotel from January 20th - 23th. There isn't much to say; the hotel is very clean, the breakfast is delicious (lot's of choice, even between champagne or wodka..) and the hotel room itself was very nice and clean as well. We especially liked the shower, it worked very well although it was quite small. The location of […] the hotel is very good as well, it's located almost directly in the old city center of Riga. We didn't need to use public transportation (only to get from the airport to the hotel), because everything was at walking distance! Riga itself isn't that big a city, so it was very nice to discover it on foot. We would definitely recommend this hotel! Mehr

Nice hotel, helpful staff, clean, good location; Only minus thing I saw is - if you stay more than 3 days, the breakfast seems to be boring, the same every-day. I've stayed twice, will stay more n more.

When I arrived, I was greeted by friendly staff at the reception. Unfortunately, they had pre-printed all the reservations and mine was lost among the paperwork. Eventually they found it and then check in ran smoothly. I went to my room and although very small with low roof, I was pleased with the quality of materials used in the room - all the luxuries […] you would expect for a 4 star. Downstairs is a small bar which was quite full when I arrived and the free drink offered was welcome. The breakfast buffet is quite good and you can watch tv while you eat as much as you like. Very nice and clean hotel in good situation. Good breakfast, there was everything I am expecting to eat in the morning. Definately the best hotel I have stayed in when visiting Riga. Price is also very good regarding the hotel situation and status.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful! Room was very nice! We had big dog with us and also he was welcomed there. We did like this hotel very much and if we go back to Riga this is our hotel! Hotel location is exellent. In this hotel everything works just the way it should work!

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The people working there are very kind and provided very good service.

I only stayed a night en route elsewhere but this was a very pleasant boutique-style hotel. The staff were lovely and friendly. The single room was very compact, and the only slight complaint was that it was a little chilly but a heater was on offer if required - which I didn't need. The hotel is situated in the Old Town and very convenient for the […] bus from the airport, but make sure you know where to go - I got lost and got ripped-off by a taxi-driver who charged said it was a long way away, and charged me ten euro for almost no more than a u-turn - despite my speaking Russian. Despite the central location, it's at the end of a street and there's no noise from outside - so you can have a great sleep. There's a tiny little gym downstairs with a treadmill, weights machine and bike - all spanking new - but as long as no more than three use it, it's fine if you want to stretch the legs with some quick exercise, and with a tv in the gymette too! This was very reasonably priced, and I would recommend it thoroughly for someone wanting something central, quiet and not too fancy - even though the rooms are very clean and tidy. Wi-fi coverage - and with a cable in each room, internet connection was perfect. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby in Old Town, all within walking distance. Mehr

The Old Riga Palace is a solid four star hotel. Service was excellent at the front desk and bar/lounge. The rooms were on the small side, but very comfortable. Breakfast was included and had a wonderful selection of warm and cold items. There were three computers with internet access available in the lobby for 1 Lat (about 2 US Dollars) for a 24 hour […] time period, on the honor system. The Riga Old Town begins right around the hotel itself, and is lots of fun with great restaurants, shops, and street vendors. Mehr

Our "double bed" was really a single bed size. Everything else was great - especially the breakfast!

We stayed for a night and found the place to be ideally located and very reasonably priced. The place was clean comfortable and well maintained. The old city neighborhood is right next door...

I enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. The room was a bit small, but certainly adequate. The location was very good, right on the edge of the old town. Everything was within walking distance. Went with partner on a 5 day break and was more than satisfied with hotel. The bed was the comfiest hotel bed we've ever slept in. Close to all attractions but far enough away that the noise from the various stag parties did not bother us. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting this area.

We were so wonderfully surprised at how beautiful the hotel was. The location is excellent: on the edge of the old town, near the train station, close to the river. The lobby was gorgeous, the staff helpful and courteous and the rooms were small but lovely and clean. The bathroom was definitely above par as far as we have seen across eastern (and western) […] Europe. The included breakfast buffet was delicious and filling, making for a great start for the day. Neighbourg buildings are not that nice, but the position was calm. Room was warm in winter though in bathroom the radiator must be turned on. On TV there are some satellite channels including one that I would not show to the children. Breakfast was good.

This hotel is five minutes walk to the tram and bus stops, just across from the shopping centre "The Stockman". The airport shuttle bus passes by here every 15 minutes.Riga's central market is also within walking distance, as is shopping centre "Galerija Centrs". There are 2 restaurants just around the corner, the Italian Pomodora restaurant and Sues […] Indian Raja. We stayed at this hotel Monday to Friday and found the staff to be very friendly and courteous, happy to give out maps , advise on directions etc. The hotel was suitable for business travellers and tourists. It was certainly great value for money being very reasonably priced for a four star hotel.The Rock in Riga pub was also just round the corner and had a great jukebox. Mehr

Breakfast great..,very good rates.. .cold in the room, but they give us a radiator. Very unpleasant smell from the bathroom

Great location, wonderful staff. delicious breakfast. We stayed in the hotel twice last Aug. The first time we got a nice room for two. The second time, the room was tiny!! one full size bed was attached to the wall with barely enough space to walk between the bed and the other walls. 4 night stay in July. Newly renovated, the hotel is beautifully quiet, in a quiet part of the old town. Area in need of some renovation, but did not detract from hotel experience. Room was very comfortable. Had skylights only, but great for hiding from the sun! Fantastic bathroom with top quality fittings. Everything spotlessly clean. Breakfast buffet […] had a wide range of food on offer, but could do with closer supervision for maintaining supplies at busy times. Staff excellent, helpful at all times. This Hotel is directly in the Old Town, but it is possible to leave window open at night without getting disturbed by noise. Very friendly service and very clean.

Cracking hotel situated at the edge of old city all sights within walking distance, hotel itself very nice everything you would expect in room, reasonable prices for mini-bar not the usual rip off costs, excellent breakfast plenty of hot and cold choices staff very helpful in reception and good English spoken. Riga Old Palace ligger innenfor gådistanse fra alle severdighetene i gamlebyen, markedshallene og jernbanestasjonen skulle en tur til Jurmala friste. Veien utenfor er stengt for gjennomgangstrafikk - følgelig ingen trafikkstøy. Frokosten er veldig bra med mange variasjoner - t.o.m. glass med russisk "sparkling wine". Vi har bodd på mange ulike rom, […] men forsøk å unngå 6.etg. Mange skråtak og litt merkelig romløsninger. Mehr
