Very close to the mountains. Clean, quiet, and a decent breakfast. Excellent price for what you get.

I was quite leary of this place at first. Had read some not so good reviews. I was pleasently suprised with the cleanliness overall and the comfort of the king bed. The staff was just as welcoming. I will deff stay here again.

Sylva Inn is hard to see at night, as their sign was not lit, and it is on a divided hwy. so have to backtrack.

Outdated room, poor quality and most of all the room temp never got above 65 degrees!

Had a great stay with no problems or issues. Everything was as it should be. I would stay again.

The Inn was quiet and nice. It is ideal for an overnight stay. It is within an hour's drive of most attractions in the Smokey Mountain National Park area. The hotel's address did not show up correctly on my GPS however. Use a map or call the receptionist as the GPS may take you elsewhere

Finding this place was the largest obstacle we encountered on our trip to Cherokee. We arrived at night and the sign out front did not light up. We drove past it the first time as it is located on the right as you come around a curve in the road. It was not 10 miles from the casino. It was more like 20. We did not get our King bed as requested. We had […] to take two doubles. The rate was too high for this small town. If you want to save money on a room by staying outside of Cherokee, the better place would be Maggie Valley, coming from the Tri-Cities area. The motel was nice and clean as well as comfortable. It would be a good place to stay on your way to somewhere else, except Cherokee! Mehr

Close to a lot of attractions and easy to get to WCUfrom there. Very clean and very nice people.

We have stayed at the inn several times and have been very pleased. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are always clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. You always feel welcome and comfortable . It is a really nice pace to stay. In fact we have already booked our next stay there!

This was our first time staying at the Sylva Inn, but we would defiantely stay there again. The people were very nice - the room was clean.

The room smelled musty and the air was off when we entered the room. They ran out of milk for breakfast. It was okay, but it doesn't appear that they get much traffic in and out of there. The elevator was shaky when when the door opened.

Formerly a Comfort Inn, The Sylva Inn had decent size rooms, the lobby and hall ways were clean and the pool area was well maintained. The continental breakfast was to be expected with waffles, cereal, bagels, doughnuts, yogurt and fruit accompained by juice and coffee. The hotel is centrally located to Cherokee Nation, Lake Fontain, The Dragon's […] Tail and Western Carolina University on Route 74 between exit 87 and 85, both leading into Sylva. The only negative to the trip is that the hotel is located on a downward slope of Route 74 in a curve going from left to right and is very difficult to find. There is a sign as you approach the hotel but it still reads Comfort Inn. The new owners would be wise to place signs that alert guest as to where their entrance from Route 74 is located. Mehr

I know times are tough an we must staff accordingly with business, BUT they cut the staffing way too low. One to answers phones,takes check ins,ect.. Not well planned. The next day for breakfast was not good at all. I work in the inductry and I can tell you for what food and beverage was out wasn't very good. Someone called outand left the front desk […] doing this as well ! Mehr

This hotel has everything we like about staying in the Smokey Mountains. Clean with no noise makes for great restful get away weekend.

Had to ask for extra blanket. The hotels are putting only a light blanket between 2 sheets. Thats fine but extra blanket should be in the room. The breakfast area did not have enough seating. People were eating in the lobby. We left & went to a restaurant, not what we wanted to do but..we did.

I didn't have complaints with staff or service @ the hotel. My only complaint was with the room. Our queen size beds were really just full size beds and the knobs were taken off the fridges so we couldn't freeze our cooler paks.

Great motel for the price. Covenient to WCU. I've stayed a places that cost twice the price that were not as good. I was impressed that there was an on-site church service Sunday morning! We will stay again and recommend to others.

Was in Sylva to visit the local college (WCU) and before the big visit, we all had to take cold showers! When we inquired, they simply said "We're full, it happens all the time". That's just not acceptable! Overall just an average place... Hopefully we'll find something else as our son will be attending WCU now!

Comfortable stay. Very convenient to WCU. Other patrons very considerate. Staff friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay. Helpful employees, nice room and worked out perfectly for us.

This hotel was well kept and clean. the only problems we had were the Tv picture was snowy and there was no hot water in the morning. It is a older place and the hotel was full so that was probably the reason. But other than that it was wonderful.

The room was dirty . Everything looked old . The mattress was so old you could feel the srings in your back. So muchfor a nice Valentines getaway. Never again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With in 15 miles of Cherokee and Franklin. Hotel is an old Comfort Inn. It was clean but old. It is a nice hotel for the price. I had an issue with a smoking guest in a non smoking room. They handled it very quickly. My room had all amenities you need in higher priced hotels.

Very good hotel, formerly Comfort Inn. Clean, comfortable rooms and a very attentive staff. All i encountered were very helpful. The town is a little tricky to navigate based on the location of the hotel, but it is very close to good food, gasoline and grocery. It was a great value.

Sylva Inn was convienant and easy to find. Nice place to stay when visiting W.C.U.

They're also helpful when you have a sick infant, like I did. Apparently this place use to be a chain, but it has been renovated and is clean and well decorated. The night I went in, there were fresh flowers on a desk on one side of the room and I could smell them all the way across. The whole lobby smelled of jasmine, it was a wonderful welcome. The […] tubs are large, but flat bottomed so there's no angles to slip on. The windows in the rooms are large (and they open!), but have heavy curtains so the cold doesn't come in when it's freezing outside. The ONLY downside is that the driveway is really steep and can be difficult in snowy/winter conditions. The hotel itself was superb and the breakfast was yummy! I only gave it a 3 for "location" because the directions I had meant it was really off the beaten path. However, it's 1 exit down from Sylva and 2 exits down from Cullowhee, so if you're heading to the University, it's a close drive. Mehr

The staff at Sylva Inn were extremely helpful and genial. Our stay was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The only downside was the road noise from the highway.

This was a most pleasant stay...made especially so by the beauty of the Fall colors in the NC mountains. Staff was friendly & helpful.
