When i arrived they asked for my Drivers licence i gave it to them and they gave me a room key back. Later when i realized they pulled a bait and switch with my NYS enhanced driver license i called and asked for it back and they said they did not have it. Yea right! Nice people but the place needs work. The carpet was gross. Smelled like car air freshner. The hard bed was very clean. The room was small. The pool looked nice but it was closed for the season. The view from our room was nice. Woods and a nice yard.

It was a last minute choice to stay here. The cost was reasonable, the desk clerk was very pleasant. The room while small was clean. The only complaint was no hot water in the bathroom sink., until it had run for over 20 minutes.

It was terrible and I was so much looking forward to that stay . The room was very uncomfortable, dirty, etc. The water from the tap was brown. They did not clean our room after we spent a night there. Every day we had to ask for clean towels. The outstanding quality of our room was cleanliness. It was spotless! It was compact, but had everything we needed for our short stay. It was kind of a blast from the past as far as decor.

The room desperately needed repairs. The wallpaper was peeling and dirty. We read how to check for bed bugs so we lifter the bed clothes only to find that both box springs were unside down. That made me suspecious. The day we were leaving my daughter caught a bug crawling on her sweater that was draped on the bed. She put the bug in a bag and we looked […] on line to find that it was in fact a bedbug. We immediately showed the owner and he suggested that I might have been the one to bring the bug into his room. Needless to say, I was so angry and dissapointed at how I was treated. Extremely well situated directly off I-90 and very accessible to Tanglewood which is the destination for many. Very clean and very well organized. We paid a lot of money for a one night stay and there wasn't even a clock in the room! We paid at least $50 more for the night than we did for a room at a Comfort Inn 14 miles outside of Boston. But that's how they get you, you need a room late at night and the price is outrageous!! The staff was friendly but the room was tiny.

The hotel was a major disappointment. The only reason it still is in business is because of its proximity to Tanglewood otherwise no one would stay there. It's the hotel of last resorts. It was so awful that we canceled our next reservation to stay there.

Room was clean. Noise from A/C not only in the room but also from nearest rooms was terrible. We heard when other people went to their bathrooms. So we could not sleep. The worst hotel I've visited.

The sunset Inn was a no-frills, good value for money motel. We only stayed one night as planned. The beds were very good and the motel was very, very clean. The pool looked nice as well. For this amount of money this was what we expected. We would stay again if we were in the area.

The room furniture was shabby looking. It looked as if it was clean but upon closer inspection hairs were still in the bathroom. The bathroom light only worked after you "gave it a twist" per the front desk after I called. It took a few minutes for the shower to get hot water but it finally did come in. For the Berkshire area and the type of facility (simple motel), the Sunset Inn was fine. Nothing fancy but it was clean enough and had what we needed. Lee and Lenox are nice little towns nearby.

You get what you pay for. This is a "bare bones" , like out of the 50's motel. Old TV, old quilt on bed with only one blanket; noisey a/c, limited space in bathroom for cosmetics, fiberglass tub surround, old carpet. For one night - less than ok. Best thing is that immediately to the right is a good restaurant called Roses for breakfast.

Motel was fine for an overnight stay. Small room but clean and well maintained. We enjoyed using the pool on the hot afternoon. There was a strong odor when we first arrived but after a while we didnt notice it. Good location, easy on/off the mass pike.

I think the place wasn't terrible. There were some issues though. The sign out front says there is a whirlpool, I didn't see one. The sign also says there is wifi, couldn't find it either. You probably wouldn't want to spend a week here, but for an overnight stay, it's ideal. The beds were firm, the room was immaculate, the wallpaper, carpet and bathroom looked new, there were two levels of shades (a blackout shade and then a regular curtain that lets in light. Location is great - right off Mass Pike. If you want fast-food places, there's McD's, Dunkin's, and Friendly's, plus a very nice Greek/pizza place. The rooms were clean enough. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room which was nice. Although we didn't use it, the pool looked nice. The staff was friendly and the location was good. It's only 5 miles from Tanglewood and 1/2 mile from the MA Pike. The building was just very old. While conveniently located to Great Barrington, where I traveled to spend the day with my son for Father's Day, I had a few observations that add up to ... well ... a pretty lackluster performance on the part of the owners/management of this establishment. The TV remote was non-functional, the bathroom light faulty, the desk lamp burned out, and the […] refrigerator ... unplugged, which I did note discover until the morning, when I opened it and removed the food that had spoiled in it overnight. It was early afternoon when I arrived, and no one was at the front desk to check me in - had to ring a bell. The motel was fine for what it was - a side of the road motel. For the most part, it was quiet and convenient. The best part about it was the staff - very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned each day and they fixed a light that was out. The sun has definitely set on the Sunset Motel. The owners are obnoxious and the AC made incredible sounds all night that made sleeping almost impossible. The room was clean enough but the building is old and decrepit. I longed to get home and recover from my stay. I wouldn't recommend the Sunset Motel to my worst enemies.

For a place to rest your head and take a dip in the pool this was more than adequate as it was very clean and appeared to be well kept though it lacked any public areas beyond swimming pool. It is opposite a Friendly's and a no. of breakfast places in area and right near the thruway.
