"Holiday Inn Santo Domingo Dominican Republic"
We had a short stay, however, it was a pleasant one. From the pool there is an excellent view of the city. The hotel and rooms are extremely clean and the decoration is very modern and classy. Many restaurants and bars at walking distance and several malls very close by. To visit the colonial are of the city you would need to take a taxi. We did ask […] for connecting rooms since are children were staying with us, but the only one available were in the smoking floor. The Holiday Inn on Abraham Lincoln Avenue is a newly built hotel very conveniently located in an area combining many corporate offices and entertainment. The room are bright , very nicely furnished and well equipped including with wi-fi . It has a pleasant bar/'lounge on the 5th floor with a nice view over the city. We booked this hotel thru hotels.com, great price, but in the room description it said, DVD, Robes, Microwave etc. This room had only the basic stuff no added luxuries like listed. The walls are very thin and you can hear noises from the hall and other rooms. Breakfast buffet was great!!

The best business hotel in the area! I have stayed in nearly every hotel in the area and this is by far the best business hotel! Great, clean room, near to everything. Free transportation to some shopping malls. Great!!!

Nos quedamos dos noches en el Holiday Inn. La verdad el hotel esta perfectamente ubicado. Las habitaciones estan comodas, solo que varias instalaciones dentro de la habitacion como la ducha estan incompletas o tienen problemas. Los cuartos tienen olor a humedo ya que la alfombra esta mojada.

"Not the best service level you expect"
The hotel is a new modern hotel and was very clean. I stayed at floor 4 so avoid the noise from the street but it didn't help. Even if i didn't hear the traffic the noise from elevators machine room and my neighbours I couldn't sleep. The walls must be very thin because I could hear almost everything from my neighbours room. Since I was really tired […] I ordered something to eat from the room service. Or actually I tried to order. To order a burger, I talked to three different persons. They basically couldn't understand English. However, I got my burger after 50 minutes, and it was not that tasty. The second day, I asked the front desk to change room and it was no problem. I didn't hear the neighbours but the elevator noise was still there. The restaurant was OK but not more. The service is slow and they dont always understand you. However, this was my first time in Santo Domingo and believe there are better hotels. The hotel was nearby to my meetings and I was recommended to stay here. However, if there will be any next time, I will choose something else. Mehr

Very nice designed hotel. Looks like there were some good architects on work. The finishing is lacking unfortunately a bit but that is common in the DR. Very good service, friendly people, nice restaurant with breakfast buffet. Would recommend it to everybody who looks for a modern and stylish hotel at Lincoln next to Ilumel.
