In almost all categories, this hotel met my expectations. The one glaring exception was the fact that the room smelled very strongly of body odor. I had to open the window in the room and turn on the air full blast for many hours before it started to air out, and the smell never did go away.

1) Didn't even say hello or greet us as we entered... In fact, they appeared overwhelmed by the backlog they had created unnecessarily. 2) They put a whole group of handicapped wheelchair bond folks IN THE WAITING AREA FOR SEVERAL HOURS! .. claiming they had t wait because the online system wasn't working. 3) The lobby had marijuana smoke strongly present. Hotel was alot nicer then I was expecting. We needed a cheap room to sleep for the night of driving. Room was nice and breakfast was a suprise. I would stay again even if I wasnt looking for the cheapest room.

The front desk guy was AWESOME. He had a great personality & very willing to help us.

I guess the only complaints we had is that the elevator smelled strongly like smoke (and we saw the night clerk smoking at the front desk) and the breakfast isn't that great (it only consisted of cereal, waffles, juice, milk, and coffee; no fruit or muffins) Room was clean and roomy. Good water pressure.

Great, loved it, nothing to complain about.

I found the hotel a little hard to find and get to due to its' location. It is at the confluence of I-40 and I-25 and is down a road that was hard to find. The hotel itself was just fine. It is clean and spacious, hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

We knew we weren't staying at a 4 seasons and for the price we paid we were satisified. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean altough the pillows were horrible!! They need to invest some money in buying comfortable pillows vs. the flat pillowcases they now offer and updating their carpet. Bad area of town and not clean. I was really dissapointed of the chain. I had just stayed at one in Moorhead, MN that was really nice.

The people that work there were very gracious to get me and my friend to the airport and came and picked us up when we got back. The room was fair but it was clean. The price was excellent.

I read reviews and thought this would be the perfect place to get a room for one night. I asked for a non-smoking room and my room smelled like cigarrettes. The ac was broken, my pillow, sheets, and blanket smelled like smoke. Lucky for me it was winter and I didn't need the ac. This was a great place to stay for a great price.

For the price i paid it was definitely a great deal, the staff were very nice and polite, nothing was wrong with the room, everything clean, the breakfast was a cold one but for the price you cant complain, the area was not so good but i think that's Albuquerque in general, overall if i had to do it again, i would. I stay here frequently because the price is great and the room is clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here to my friends and family and I plan to continue to stay here when I travel to ABQ.

Room could have been cleaner.

stayed here twice first time was good no issues, second time there was all kinds of mold in bathroom on walls and above shower, not good. So I'd say its hit and miss but for the price and amount of time there I was able to cope.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and have always been very pleased with the service and cleanliness. It is located in a great location close to Menaul which offers lots of restaurants. Further down is the mall, walmart and walgreens. Unfortunately, this time our room was not as clean as usual and housekeeping forgot our toiletries. not bad at all really expected a dump for the price and hotel shuttle work out well. I would stay again worse part was simply the clientele that this hotel price attracted and that was tolorable

Horrible. Stay somewhere else.

I paid a very cheap rate to stay here and I got what I paid for. The paint was chipped in the room and the bathroom door was broken. It was also supposed to be a non smoking hotel and the whole place smelled very strongly of marijuana. Continental breakfast consisted of wakes and fruit loops...not a great variety. overall two big thumbs down!

heater did not work - not clean

the motel seems to be old, with old furniture in the rooms. the room was good size and comfortable. the furniture was not clean but the carpet and walls were clean. in-room coffee was good as was the expanded cable tv. breakfast included waffles, fruit loops and bread fro toasting. personnel were nice.

This hotel isnt the best you could get. We booked it for the balloon fiesta and they charge double the price, far not worth what they are charging. The beds are very uncomfortable and the "free breakfeast" consists of toast and cereal. On any given day the price might be ok for the room but charging double when the balloons are in town its not worth […] it. Mehr

Room was average, at best. Didn't have a fridge though. We liked location because it wasn't too far from balloon festival, Little Anita's restaurant, and Wecks, which is where we eneded up going for breakfast, since hotel's was weak. Hotel had two types of cereal, waffles, toast and bad-tasting coffee. Very basic - no oatmeal, bagels, cream cheese, […] or fruits. the stay itself was nice...quiet. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great, thanks. My only problem that was really and inconvenient was doing one load of laundry and having it take almost 3 hours to dry and 5 bucks later I ended up drying it over the fan in our room. At this price point you don't expect much. However, we stay here several times a year when we are in ABQ on business or vacation. The staff is always very helpful and the rooms are confortable. We enjoy the free waffle breakfast. It is located right off of I-25 and on Menaul (around the corner) you can find everything from a circle K gas station, lots […] of restaurants,Walgreens and pretty much anything else you might need. If you travel further down on Menaul you can visit the Mall or go to Walmart (near Menaul). Will continue to stay here when in ABQ. Mehr

The hotel is clean, but the halls smell like smoke. Other than that it was a good experience.

I chose this hotel because it was what I could afford in proximity to where I needed to go. I was difficult to find, located behind another hotel. The room smelled AWFUL like stale smoke, dust and something burnt. The air conditioner didnt work unless you turned it on high. The bed was slanted. The toiled made loud noises and the maitenence man simply […] told me to jiggle the handle. And the hotel guests are extremely loud and oblivious to others may needing sleep. Thats what you get for the price I suppose. Spend a few extra dollars and stay elsewhere. And I am not one to complain, I always stay and cheap hotels. Mehr

Comfortable stay but that was not a breakfast. Waffles is all they serve with some cereal no fruit or any other items offered.

As with most hotels we had a few problems (no remote, missing light bulbs). However the staff was great at correcting all these problems immediately. The staff is so helpful and friendly, it makes our stay so much more pleasant. We stay at this hotel about once a month. The location is great. Lots of restaurants around the corner on Menaul. The free […] breakfast is great. My kids love the waffles and orange juice. Will continue staying here everytime we are in town. Mehr

First, other reviewers commented there were bedbugs. There were no bedbugs. This room was immaculate, in good repair, just a basic, safe place for travelers to shower up, watch TV and get plenty of rest for the next day on the road. Breakfast and shuttle service were included. The building is in a commercial area, with a very busy truck stop across […] the street, but a convenience store and cafe a short walk away. This motel is not a destination, but it is a good travelers' inn, a place to get off the road early, have supper at the truck stop, or cafe, or buy a microwavable burrito at the Circle K, and prepare for the next day. There's internet available free also. And, again, they'll take you to and from the arport if you need that. However, it took 1 hour for the shuttle van to pick me up after I first called, so call 15-20 mins before you want to be picked up. Mehr

This hotel decor is outdated and dirty. You can live with outdated but not unclean. The smell of wafting marijuana in the 3rd floor hallway added to the ambience. There are plenty of low cost alternatives in Albuquerque that are of a higher quality.

For the price we paid we weren't sure what we were going to get. The hotel is an old building but the inside is clean. the room was great. Comfortable, clean and very nice. The staff were excellent. They went above and beyond to help us (we needed a pencil sharpener) and were just so pleasant. If I had based my decision on the reviews, i might not have booked this hotel. But the staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and worth way much than we booked for. There's shopping right around the vicinity of this hotel and close to the highway too. I would definately recommend this hotel

Interestingly the back half of a Super8 hotel, an older building in somewhat disrepair. Lobby smelled like a stale ashtray. First room's air conditioning didn't work, ambient day temp 100 degrees. Hotel maintenance man said pretty much all rooms had air conditioning problems (old). Receptionist did find me a second room that cooled down to the 70s. Fee […] charged for microwave and/or fridge in room; microwave in lobby broken! Rooms much cleaner than lobby or elevator. Not recommended for families or vacation. i was in town for 5 days on business and only used room for sleep. Definitely leave 'Do Not Disturb' sign on door when out of room or room attendants will turn off air conditioner (took 5 hours to get back down to 70s from 101 afternoon heat). Mehr

The price was right for the room. We requested non-smoking but you could still smell smoke from smoking section in the halls. Our room was smoke free. Had to hunt for ice machine which was on second floor and we were on the third. Our navigational system found the motel but it is hiding behind the Super 8 which made it hard to see from the road, even […] thought there is a sign on the road. The hotel staff was great. Even prepared more orange juice and batter for waffles when we asked. The room was very clean and was cleaned daily. Good neighborhood and everything is nearby (Walmart, the Mall, the Convention Center, Old town, the University etc). Lots of places to eat around the corner on Menaul. Friendly staff. Not fancy but what they do they do well. An average hotel at an extraordinary low price.
