In Fashion Hotel Boutique - Playa del Carmen

In fashion as far as we are concerned was clean, comfortable, and very cool. We loved the roof deck, Rene's bar skills and the overall feel of the place. It was close to everything u could want and we would recommend the hotel and stay again ourselves. We opened the door to find a dead roach on floor. The shower took for ever to get warm, at least 20 minutes There were no towels in the room, and it took for ever to get some. The staff was ok. The hotel is past its prime and headed in the wrong direction. The best part is the location, but thats it.

I knew when I booked this hotel that there was some night time noise from the bars outside but didn't realize just how loud it was going to be... the noise kept us up several nights until about 4am (hopp'n night club across the street and the sound comes straight into the open air building design). Beds were comfortable and design was cool but service […] was the worst I've ever experienced. There were problems with car service reserved through hotel at both arrival and departure and employees couldn't have cared less, someone was shoveling rocks outside our door at 3AM as part of a landscaping ordeal on the only night the club wasn't rocking, the bellman was too lazy to open the door for me most days, I had to keep asking for wash clothes as they were not replaced in our room during cleanings, and the towels we were given were dirty, stringy/falling apart, and worthy of being thrown away. If you book with Hotels.com/Expedia they will put you in the front half of the hotel, which has 2 bars like Coco Bongo blaring music until 4 or 5am!! Avoid at all costs please! This Hotel is a rip off! We left at 3:30 am because they would not switch us to a better room. SO LOUD, LIKE IN A COLLEGE DORM!! Went to a quiet hotel that was better anyways, […] the Hacienda Paradise. Service was rude, lobby was plain, elevators are small and slow. Bars in front of hotel looked abandoned. What a scam. My girlfriend laughed at me for booking this place, looked good until I had been there for 4 hours. Looks like they took some nice pictures and posted them on here. Mehr

I loved the hotel, the only negative point is that it is right in the middle of the night action so there is a lot of noise. Apart from that, it was perfect for me and the location is unbeattable. I would definitely recommend it!

Great over all, but the noise at late night. (drunk people screaming in the alleys, and music from next door(bar))

Pros: Great location - right next to La Santanera, which is the best club in Playa. Friendly staff. They spoke English very well. I received an $80 USD voucher towards spa services, which got me a free 30 minute massage. Cons: I stayed in the Master Suite (Spa Elite) room. The couch was very dirty/stained. There was a jacuzzi in the room (one of the […] main reasons I got the room), but it literally took 1.5 hours to fill up! The shower had no hot water. It was luke warm at best. Overall: This is a very nice hotel. But for the price you are paying (there are so many hotels in the area with much cheaper rates), the management should pay more attention to details. Mehr

My husband and I moved to this hotel after having a bad experience in another. We were a little skeptical at first thinking for the price we shouldn't expect too much, but we were pleasantly surprised, Our room was on the third floor and had a great view of the ocean. The hotel is really nice with bright, stylish and tastefully decorated rooms, The […] bathroom which I loved, is separated from the room by a large wall open on both ends. An exposed, glassed in shower has two shower heads, double sinks and a closeted private toilet. They provide bath robes,toiletries,and an iron, but I didn't see a hairdryer. There's a safe and wet bar. You get two complimentary bottles of water and two drink tickets for the upstairs pool bar. We saw the pool bar during the day which seemed to be a bit of a makefshift set up, but didn't affect our stay as we never made it up there to use our tickets.The hotel has two pools and is decorated in local art. Located across from a big nite club, but we had requested a room away from the noise and found it didn't disturb us at all (room 306). The only complaint which didn't really bother me was we were told the elevator didn't work, but that someone would carry our bags up. We didn't have the heart to put our doorman through that so we it did ourselves. I think the recession was affecting there electric bill so they were cutting back on things like running their fountains and elevators. We discovered the elevator was working when we left so we could get our bags down easily. The hotel is centrally located to all the night clubs if that's your thing and some nice restaraunts. The beach is just a moments walk away. We go to Playa Del Carmen often and have already decided we will stay here on our next trip. Mehr

We only stayed here one night on a Sunday in the Elite Master Suite on the third floor. Check-in went very smoothly. We also got a surprise $80 credit towards spa services and a breakfast buffet for 2 people. For the price and quality of the hotel, this is by far one of the best values in Playa del Carmen. My traveling companion and I agreed it was […] probably the nicest hotel room we've ever stayed in. Very contemporary, clean, bright. The room was huge and spacious. I loved the contemporary urban decor. I felt rich living there for a night and wished it was my condo (though I'd love a kitchen and dining room). The rooftop pool and lounge was very nice. The pool within the "courtyard" was somewhat lacking because it rarely, if ever, received sun. It was nice to look at, though. Spa services were good though overpriced relative to the rest of Playa if you don't get the spa credit. You have to schedule your appointment. There are a few negative things to note. This is on the main drag of streets with many bars and clubs. The noise for me was tolerable, but I live in the city anyways. To somebody accustomed to quiet country nights - this may not be the place for you. I woke up once in the night to a drunken "Wooohohohohooo!" call out on the street but that was about it. I would not recommend the master suite for traveling friends unless you're not bashful or don't mind leaving the room when the other showers. The shower and tub are visible to the entire room. The toilet is intelligently privately enclosed, though. Secondly, there were some minor things missing from the room. For one - no soap tray on the sink counter. Where am I to put this bar of soap? Secondly, there is only one tiny halogen light over the sink - so getting ready in the morning or for bed is a bit difficult. I could imagine for those who like to paint their faces or really take time to get ready that this could be frustrating. They should install more lights by the mirrors. Thirdly, the jacuzzi Mehr

Great Hotel. Terrible location, unless you like the 5'th ave. The rooms and staff were top notch and we would recommend this to somebody looking for a non Mexican hotel in Mexico. The only soft bed we've ever had in MX. Coco Bongo is very loud at night but the bathroom fan will drown out most of the noise. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was centrally located, seemed very new and nice and modern. We were treated well. Cute room/bathroom although the water took forever to warm up and the sheets were not of the best quality. It is also very bright in the room even with the blinds. But other than that, it was great. I would stay there again though. Chambre grande et claire. Salle de bain pratique (Double vasque et double douche). Style design de l’hôtel et des chambres. Attention juste au bruit la nuit.

Para empezar el hotel esta muy bien ubicado cerca de la avenida cinco que es donde estan todas las tiendas restaurants y antros, se encuentra enseguida de la santanera un bar excelente para pasar una noche agradable, y enfrente del coco bongo que es el mas famoso en playa, el hotel es hermoso una decoracion muy exquisita y las habitaciones muy confortables […] y muy bonitas, no tuvimos ningun problema con este hotel se lo recomendaria a todos los jovenes que van a conocer y pasar unas excelentes vacaciones. Tres bien placer Personnel tres sympa direction pas du tout arrangeante et exagere sur toute les demandes imprevues. Limite voleur!!!! Hotel mal entretenu Donc cher pour ce que c est Il doit y avoir mieux ds le meme quartier Mieux vaut essayer ailleurs

llegue el miercoles en la noche al hotel reporte el aire acondicionado el jueves pues no enfriaba no lo checaron lo reporte el viernes fueron al cuarto y no lo repararon para no hacerla tan larga ayer lunes me quisieron cambiar de cuarto cuando ya nos veniamos otro mal detalle del hotel es que me cobraron 30 dolaares por noche por una persona extra […] y nunca me llevaron una cama no recomiendo ese hotel Mehr

No sirve el a/c, le avisentres veces a la persona de la recepción, no lo arreglaron y no me cambiaron de cuarto, muy déspota. Podría haber sido muy bueno, ya que esta bonito y bien ubicado, pero muy mal atendido
