Feb. 2013i was there for 4 days , and i loved it ....the hotel was clean and it was placed in central of istanbul.we had a nice room with flat screen and new windows, which kept the cold wether outside, and it was warm.clean bathroom and everymorning they cleaned our room. we had breakfast everymorning and it was delicious. stuff were really friendly. one point which was not good was it was pretty loud, i guess it was in central of the city , we could here music from outside but oh well this is ISTANBUL .....i would love to go back again :)

Das Zimmer war sehr klein. Das Zimmer war ein Einzelzimmer, war aber für zwei vermietet. Es gab nicht ein französisches Bett, sondern ein normales Bett und ein Klappbett, das etwas niedriger war als das reguläre Bett. Die Ausstattung des Hotels und der Service waren hervorragend. Von aussen kaum wahrnehmbar ist das Hotel modern und sauber auf dem neusten Stand, stilvoll eingerichtet. Alle Sonderwünsche wurden sofort erfüllt (Bett, Ad hoc Massage, zusätzliche Übernachtung). Anfänglich wollte ich auswärts essen gehen. Habe die Reservierung aber sofort storniert, nachdem ich das Restaurant mit der sehr aufmerksamen Personal angesehen […] habe. "Schönes Hotel in der Nähe von Istakal Caddesi"
Wir bekamen eine schöne Deluxe Suite im 7. Stock. Da kurzfristig eine zweite Person an der Reise teilnahm, wurde gegen eine geringe Gebühr ein Schlafsofa zu einem richtigen Bett umfunktioniert, so dass zwei Personen einen richtigen Schlaf fanden. Im Spa gabs sogar einen kleinen Indoor-Pool. Das Restaurant war auch ausgezeichnet. If we visit Istanbul, we will book this hotel again. We travel a lot with our two children and it is not easy to find a nice hotel for a family. But in this hotel, we could go to the down town because it was right around the corner and the hotel bar with street view was also stylish. It is five minutes to walk to the shopping street, which is full with […] cafes and restaurants. Galata tower is also five minutes to walk. The breakfast of the hotel restaurant was also interesting and most of the all the food from menu were really fresh and tasty! It is pity that we had dinner their on our last day. Das Tunel Residence ist für einen kurzen Aufenthalt OK, die Zimmerausstattung entspricht dem Standard. Schwachpunkt ist das im Big Chef servierte Fruehstueck, das in anderen Hotels in Istanbul als Buffet oft auf dem Dach mit tollem Blick serviert wird und hier a la carte weit duerftiger ausfaellt. "Mini-Zimmer und kein 5 Sterne Hotel"
Das Hotel ist gut, aber... ...unser Zimmer war winzig. Die Angaben hier bei Expedia übertreiben um mindestens gefühlte 5-6 m². Die Ausstattung war allerdings recht nett und geschmackvoll. Die tägliche Reinigung hat häufig Dinge vergessen. Wir haben mehrfach an der Rezeption nachfragen müssen. Seife, Klopapier, Bademantel, usw. Irgendwas fehlte fast […] an jedem Tag. Dort reagierte man dann aber wirklich umgehend. Der Sauna- und Poolbereich war gut. Viele Geräte im Fitnessraum, ansonsten auch alles in einem wirklich guten Zustand. Zu 100% Zufriedenheit fehlte es aber an dem ein oder anderen Tag an der absoluten Sauberkeit. Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal. Sehr ruhig und trotzdem sehr zentral. Zur Istiklal Cad in knapp 2 Minuten, direkt an der Zahnradbahn Tunel, alles in Richtung Taksim in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Restaurants, Bars, usw. eigentlich direkt um die Ecke. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten nicht zu weit. Der Galaturm keine 500m weit. Dennoch hatte man nicht das Gefühl in einer Touristenburg zu sein. Top. Leider war das Haus für uns jedoch kein 5-Sterne-Hotel. Dazu fehlte es an zu vielen Dingen und dem gewissen Etwas, das einem aus anderen Hotels der Klasse bekannt ist. MehrAuthentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

"Kleines, modernes Hotel in zentraler Lage"
Wir haben uns sehr gut in der Tunel Residence aufgehoben gefühlt. Das Hotel ist sehr modern eingerichtet und wie neu. Der Service sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zu empfehlen ist das angeschlossene Restaurant und Cafe "BigChefs", dass die "liebevollsten" Cafe serviert. Unbedingt mal vorbei gehen und das tolle Restaurant geniessen. Sehr schönes Hotel, freundliches Personal, sehr schönes und sauberes Badezimmer (selten so ein sauberes und gut erhaltenes Badezimmer gesehenin einem Hotel). Lage direkt 2min vom Galata Tower, Tunnel Bahn, zentrale Einkaufsstrasse. Einziger Negativpunkt: die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, man hört alles was auf dem Gang läuft. I recently visited Istanbul with my family and the Tunel Residence was a big hit. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed. Service was excelent and extremely friendly. The location was also great. The one thing that could improve is the pool, which despite being small had the main negative feature of tiles and grouting missing in sections. When we arrived at the hotel the room we had was fantastic, big, clean, comfortable, we booked the hotel as it also has a jaccuzzi and pool, but this was very dissapointing and needs cleaning and updating. A spacious well equipped apartment very conveniently located in Taksim. A short Tunel ride down to the tram stop into the historic (tourist) centre of Istanbul. The hotel is very pleasant, well located in the New City, close to the Metro (Sishane) and a short walk from both the Galat Tower and the vibrant Istikal street, which is full of ever-open, reasonably priced shops, restaurants, and people. The reception staff at the hotel are superb, exceptionally helpful and friendly. They readily organised tours and […] restaurant visits for us, with the providers laying on transport from and back to the hotel. Our 'standard' double room was small, but comfortable, but with poor lighting. The higher grade rooms are much bigger. (We declined an offer to upgrade for an extra 70 Euros/day!) The bar/restaurant is a good feature, popular for non-residents too, with the evening staff most friendly and helpful. However, we found prices quite high (perhaps typically Istanbul) and the breakfast service irritatingly slow, especially if one has to be ready for an 8 am tour. There were pleasant terraces outside the hotel where one could sit and enjoy drinks and snacks, maybe even meals, though the tables could fill up fast. MehrAuthentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

Pros: It is in the best spot in town for bars and restaurants, cafes, and shopping; It has a nice restaurant with decent prices in the ground level; the delux room is pretty comfortable for 3 people; decoration is very nice and modern; kitchen and appliances are in great conditions; hotel staff is very friendly and helpful; a stunning view to the sea […] from the apartment. Cons: Our room had a big rug under the coffee table in desperate need for replacement (dirty and weared off); No radio or ipod dock in the apartment; the swimming pool and jacuzzi needs to have a human friendly temperature; a bit too slow in housekeeping and they even missed to do it one day despite us leaving the apartment at 11am (plenty of time for them); some sections of the swimming pool needs maintenance as paiting is peeling off. If we visit Istanbul, we will book this hotel again. We travel a lot with our two children and it is not easy to find a nice hotel for a family. But in this hotel, we could go to the down town because it was right around the corner and the hotel bar with street view was also stylish. It is five minutes to walk to the shopping street, which is full with […] cafes and restaurants. Galata tower is also five minutes to walk. The breakfast of the hotel restaurant was also interesting and most of the all the food from menu were really fresh and tasty! It is pity that we had dinner their on our last day.
