This hotel provided the best service I have ever received, my only complaint is valet/parking situation. At four o'clock, it was tricky to try to squeeze into the valet section because 1) it's so small and 2) it's in the middle of downtown LA traffic. But after that we had an amazing stay. The room was extremely clean! The decor was great; simple and modern. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Had tickets for event at Nokia - Stepped out of hotel and was right there. Convinced that for any event close to Staples Center, Convention Center or at the Nokia - stay at the Marriott L.A. Convenient and wonderful. Wish we had stayed longer to enjoy it a little more.

Wow! Clean comfortable room! Friendly and helpful staff! Great location ....Short walk to the Staples Center! Nicest hotel stay in a long time! The fam and I look forward to visiting again in the near future! Thanks

Terrible service. Felt like they were only trying to scam tips the entire time. Room was clean and beds were comfortable but that was about it. We ordered Room Service, my husband's burger made him sick. We called to have our table taken out several times, they never did. It sat in our entryway from late afternoon until checkout the next day. The rainfall […] style shower head barely let out a stream of water and was installed for a 7' person to adjust. Regardless, after having my tall husband adjust the shower for an hour, it came out at barely above a weak stream. My childhood sleep away camp had better showers [and they were terrible]. The toilet needed double flushing as well. The TV service is TERRIBLE. The wifi stopped working at 8 pm that night and wouldn't recognize me as a registered guest. I called down to the front desk and it rang and rang and rang to no avail. Maybe they were busy trying to figure out the table situation? ;) Doubtful. This place takes advantage of their location and beautiful decor to overcharge for abysmal service and function. Stay somewhere else if you can. Mehr

Hotel and Staff were top notch. Convenient ton plenty of great stuff. Pool and jacuzzi close on windy days, kind of a drag. The L.A. Market restaurant on site is to be avoided at least for breakfast.

Of course the location is prime if you want to be in/near LA Live, but on top of that, the hotel is top notch. There are multiple bars in the lobby, a great restaurant, full serve coffee shop and it just makes for a great place to hang out. On top of that, they have a nice pool scene on the 4th floor overlooking LA Live. The rooms aren't anything over […] the top (like the Ritz), but very sufficient and a great deal for the price. I've stayed at both the Ritz and JW in downtown now and prefer the JW... plus ~$200 less. Mehr

this hotel was awesome. great service, great room- very clean. I loved how the room and the bathroom was so spacious.

Paid for a room on concierge floor, room not available upon check-in, inquired again but still not available. Was given another room & told access would be available to executive floor lounge. Was escorted to lounge by an employee, only to be told a private party was going on & was asked to leave, very embarrassing. Tried to access lounge in am, however […] key would not work. Someone that did not pay for upgraded room got mine because hotel was sold out! It is too bad because this hotel is convenient to many venues. Mehr

the only negative is that you have to pay 12.95 for internet.Wifi is complimentary everywhere these days.I think they block you from picking up other networks too.

Pricey but a great splurge for a special night! Adjacent to restaurants and Staples Center, just park the car and enjoy!

Great Hotel if you want to go to Staples Center or any of the many new restauraunts or lucky strike in that plaza. Only negatives... the suites and all rooms for that matter dont have Jacuzzi tubs.. or any tub for that matter. If you get a room with two double beds they say you can get a regular bath tub. I was disappointed since the shower was so […] huge they could have easily stuck a nice tub in that room. Ordered room service, food was just warm although it did come up promptly with a 30 minute gaurantee. Mehr

Stayed here after our wedding for the weekend and the hotel gave us a complementary upgrade to a room on the 20th floor with an amazing view of the city! Pool and spa are great even on cool LA nights. Not necessarily a romantic hotel, but super convenient in getting to different parts of LA easily and quickly.

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL, ATTACHED TO THE RITZ WITH MANY SHARED AMENITIES. UNBELIEVABLY CONVENIENT LOCATION IF DOWNTOWN IS WHERE YOU WANT/NEED TO BE. VERY CLOSE AND CONVENIENT TO USC. LA LIVE LOCATION IS REPLETE WITH EVERY VENUE OF ENTERTAINMENT AND RESTAURANTS GALORE. I REALLY HAVEN'T ENJOYED A HOTEL OR LOCATION LIKE THIS IN QUITE SOME TIME!!

Had to stay for business near by.. great eateries and bars ...

Stayed in this hotel for a conference and was very pleasantly surprised! The rooms are beautiful and tastefully appointed; also large for the price. The Mixing Room bar has a great vibe and we enjoyed the terrace for a private event. Only disappointment was the quality of the steak served by room service. It wasn't cooked correctly or a very good cut […] of meat for the price. We did have some issue getting the temperature regulated in the room; it was chilly! Mehr

I loved it! Very nicely kept, perfect location, within walking distance to everything! Wish I could've stayed much longer to enjoy all amenities.

Being a former Los Angeles rersident my recent stay at the Marriott met all of my expectations: conveniently located in the downtown area of L.A., hospitality and service was great, ranked high on cleanliness and I certainly would choose this hotel again for my vacation housing.

JW Marriott is a very trendy hotel that is little overpriced. Basically you are paying for the LA Live location. The rooms are dimly lit and a little small for the price. The service is excellent and there are several restaurants nearby. Parking is costly at around forty dollars a day however hotel parking is your best bet.

Nice Hotel, Convienient to Staples Center. Excellent service and staff. Very nice pool area and bar.

We had a completely relaxing stay at Marriot. The hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We would surely stay again.

Great hotel at a great location. The room was very spacious and comfortable; the booking price was reasonable. Check in time was unreasonably long, I thought, especially for guests with a confirmed reservation. The desk clerk, though, was courteous and helpful. They need to do something about the shower head in the bathroom. I know that they're trying […] to conserve water, but this thing was TERRIBLE. The flow was not strong, and it was not very adjustable. I'm sure there are better alternatives than the one that was installed in my room. Didn't get to try the eating / drinking establishments in-house (it's at L.A. Live, after all), but I would try next time. Mehr

Visit for admit weekend for USC. About 10 minute drive to USC. Extremely close to Staples Center The hotel was new, trendy with a California feel. The breakfast has a great morning buffet where they also cook pancakes, waffles or omlet as part of buffet. The buffet was not included with cost of stay. Valet parking was easy, elevator down to basement, […] but costs $40 per day. Wireless was 12.00 per day, and additional cost to use business center . However, printing boarding passes for flights was free. Rooftop pool was beautiful and worth checking out. Mehr

Booked this hotel while in LA for a basketball game at Staples Center (only about a 5 minute walk). Hotel staff were friendly, beds were comfortable, and you couldn't hear any of your neighbors. The only down side to this hotel is that parking is a little ridiculous at $40.00, but I would definitely stay here again.

You can't beat LA Live for a place to stay on vacation in Los Angeles. We were pleased to find the beautiful new JW Marriott with very large rooms and comfortable beds. We enjoyed being close to Staples Center and so many restaurants. We visited Starbucks daily...because we had to use their Wi-Fi. You won't be able to reach the shower head if you're […] under 5'5" and there is no tub. On the plus side, if you're tall, you'll love the shower. The desk area needs more light for working, and the Wi-Fi was painfully slow or nonoperational the whole weekend. At checkout, the Marriott removed the Wi-Fi charges from our bill, we were still inconvenienced because we had to go to Starbucks every time we wanted to work online. So, for business travel, maybe the JW Marriott at LA Live isn't the best place to be. For leisure travel, I'd highly recommend it. Mehr
