super lage und schöner pool,die betten sind etwas weich(omas sofa)sonst aber alles bestens. wenn man durch monterey fährt und die anderen hotels von der lage und ihrem äusseren erscheinungsbild sieht(nicht die geschönten aus dem internet)ein gutes preis leistungs verhältniss.

Obwohl an durchgangsstraße gelegen, praktisch wenn man ohne Auto unterwegs ist. Busse direkt vor der Haustür, vieles zu Fuß erreichbar. Zimmer ausreichend groß, alles vorhanden, gutes Wifi. würde wiederkommen

Wir haben hier eine Nacht auf der Durchreise von SF nach LA verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden. Ein typisches amerikanisches Motel, in sehr gutem Zustand, freundlich und sauber.

The hotel served its purpose- I was in Monterey for work and needed a clean place to shower and sleep. The walls are a little thin, so if you are a light sleeper you may want to bring earplugs. We enjoyed our stay. Close to downtown, across from the beach. It has a "cottage" feel, I would recomend this to my friends and would stay there again.

The actual room was on the small side (queen bed) but quite comfy. Our room was in the back building that housed only 8 rooms and was very quiet. The only noises we heard were the opening and closing of guests doors. Water pressure is very important to me in a hotel room and this hotel was definitely in my top 3. Clean, comfortable, quiet. I liked the dowsn comforter instead of the generic duvet cover. Nice beds, friendly staff. All in all a pleasant experience. Choose to the beach but far enough away from town a to be very .

The desk staff were very friendly and gracious to accommodate my special needs at the last moment for a first floor room. The room was comfortable, clean, easy to access. On site parking was free and close. While there, I recommended this hotel to my friends who were staying in a much pricier place with fewer amenities. They will likely be staying here […] in the future, as they visit Monterey often. I would highly recommend Monterey Bay Lodge to my family and friends who might be traveling in the area. Mehr

Hotel was OK - Quiet, clean enough, centrally located. The internet was not ok and the bathroom had only a shower (no tub). If I didn't need to be connected to the world I would have had a much better stay....not a great deal if you require internet for business.

Almost everything about this hotel is very good. Price is a very good value for the location within walking distance to beach and near Fisherman's Wharf. The room was small but comfortable with free bottled water, small frig, free wireless internet, and microwave. The only thing I didn't like was the bedding. It's a very heavy comforter encased in a […] corduroy cover and it's like sleeping under a bag of wet cement. I used the extra blanket available because I felt I was being crushed under that "comforter". This was the second time I stayed here, and it's quiet and very nice. Mehr

I enjoyed my stay at the Monterey Bay Hotel. It was very convenient to the pedestrian trail, internet was fast, the room was very comfortable and clean and large.

This is a good basic motel. Room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful. Fridge and microwave in room were a bonus. The location is a real plus: just across the road from the beach and a short walk along the beach to Fisherman's Wharf.

We only stayed one night as we were making our way from San Fran to LA. I was very surprised by how nice this hotel was. The room was very large and had all necessary facilities. Unfortunately the weather was too cool for using the pool and spa, but I'm sure that this hotel would be great for families.

The room was cozy, clean, and very nice. LDC flat screen TV was nice and coffee machine was good touch. I would recommend the next higher room size, the king bed and fireplace if you are staying more than one night, we were less than a 3 minute drive from Fisherman's Wharf and 4 minutes from Cannery Row--just right. I had to attend a conference at the Monterey Conference Center and this hotel was only about a half mile away. An easy walk in the morning along the coast was a great way to start the day. Room was small but clean and although I found the pillows a bit soft for my taste (my neck was hurting a little) but otherwise I have zero complaints. This hotel […] is also very close to downtown Monterey and Fisherman's Wharf. The restaurant was just OK with food slightly overpriced (though they gave us a coupon when we checked in) and service was NOT good if you're in a hurry. I'd definitely go back to the hotel the next time I'm in town but I'd skip the restaurant as it took too much time from our day (and they were NOT busy). Mehr

It's very clean. It's about a 10 minute walk to Fisherman's wharf which was super convenient since parking was a bit of an issue when we first got to Monterey. The only thing I didn't like was the mattress was a bit too soft and needed to be flipped. The restaurant staff was very friendly. My finacee would highly recommend the huevos rancheros.

It was our fault that we were cheapskates and booked a basic room with a queen sized bed thinking that a US queen equals a UK king. In this case it did not so we found the bed quite small. However, the room and bathroom were fine. Large fridge, ice nearby, hairdrier, safety deposit, iron and board, heated pool with pleasant seating area. Ample parking. […] The only discordant note was in the restaurant (where we ate only once) when we discovered that there was no wine list. LODGE WAS IN A GREAT LOCATION. OCEAN ACROSS THE STREET,WALKING DISTANCE TO OLD , NEW WHARF AND RESTAURANTS.RESTAURANT ON PREMISS SERVED GOOD FOOD AT A RESONABLE PRICE. Stayed here overnight on way down coast road. Easy to find. Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Quick walk to the beach before breakfast and saw seals and dolphins!

The Lodge is small and not fancy, but had everything we needed--clean bed, good service, comfortable, even a small pool. Good price for its excellent location--walking distance--less than a mile--to Monterey's Fisherman's pier for food and shops and just a bit longer to the Aquarium. Highly recommended.

Walkdistans to nice area

I went to this hotel because of the good recommendations on tripadvisor. Well I guess I have other standards. The hotel is looks more a motel, the rooms are rather small and outdated. No AC in the rooms. And the hotel is located directly under a runway of a local airport. If you like planes, the perfect place to watch. However the staff is very friendly, […] the hotel is old but they keep it in reasonable shape. Everything works, nothing is missing. In the end: I would stay here of in Monterey again, Carmel by the Sea is a lot nicer Mehr

I stayed here with my two daughters the customer service was outstanding,the enviroment was very family freindly and I would reccommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality ,safety and customer service all in one package!

This is a well maintained older hotel. Very good accommodations for a reasonable rate. Close to Fisherman's Wharf, but a long walk from Cannery Row. Friendly staff and clean room. Rooms are smaller than most modern hotels, but not a problem for the two of us.

This hotel doesn't have a lot of frills, but it's comfortable, clean, and has a great location. It's close to Fisherman's Wharf and the beach. We stayed three nights and would stay there again!

This is an old motel that is poorly maintained. The exterior requires painting. Our room had an uncomfortable bed, mold in the tiny shower, very poor lighting, and out-of-date furnishings.

Got a surprise discount from hotels.com on Big Sur marathon weekend, so that made this hotel a bargain. It's definitely a step up from the run of motels that line Monterey. Great location ... across the street from a park/pond and a minute from the beach, and a 10 minute walk to downtown Monterey. Inside of the room was perfectly adequate. We took a little mini vacation to Monterey and found this cute little lodge. The price was great for what it is, while not fancy, it was clean, nice and comfortable. The kids loved the pool and spa and it was convenient to all we wanted to do. We loved the refridgerator and microwave, as we brought food for breakfast and lunch. We mingled with the other […] guests and my daughter played with the other kids at the pool. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Great for families, and we took our kayak and were able to leave it on the deck in front of our room. Mehr
