TripAdvisor Beurteilung von Reisenden
Other than the front of the buildings needing a paint (a bit dirty/mouldy) thus giving a not so good but gladly inaccurate first impression, this hotel... is great! Value for money, food was excellent, my room funkily painted and very comfortable, staff including the manager (owner?) very helpful, obliging and friendly, service excellent. Terrific locale right on a quiet beach with beach lounges. Surprisingly quiet and peaceful too, given it's location on a somewhat busy road. It truly was an Oasis as I was thoroughly disappointed to disgusted with Mauritius as a whole - it's over-populated, dirty, over-developed (can't see the coasts for buildings), roads and traffic are atrocious, sellers heckle and try to rip off tourists mercilessly, overrun with feral plants and animals even in the one national park, there are virtually no marine parks so environment is pretty much trashed. Public toilets made me wretch; never seen or smelt something so disgusting. And they are so backward they still allow smoking in nightclubs! In summary, do not go to Mauritius unless you have to. If you do, stay at Oasis. von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 31.12.2010
