Ginza Capital Hotel Main - Tokio

We arrived at Ginza Capital after flying to Tokyo from Chicago, after being awake for 26+ hours. We had meant to go to their other location but the taxi driver dropped us at the Main hotel. While the other location was apparently only a few blocks away, I was exhausted and did not want to have to travel any further to get to a bed, and Maurice at the […] front desk was incredibly helpful and found a way to accommodate us at that location at no extra charge. The room was definitely small but the overall experience was good. Beautiful lobby, very professional and helpful desk staff, 10 minute walk to the fish market. Can't beat this for the price in Tokyo. Mehr

This hotel is perfect for the short stay and is very convenient to the Yurakucho and Hibiya line. Beyond that, however, as a business traveler, it would be difficult for me to recommend this hotel as it did not have nowhere near the required space to hang up my 2 suits and accompanying shirts and ties that fit within a carry on. Even by Japanese hotel […] standards, this is by far the smallest I've ever been in. My carry on barely fit through the narrow doorway. Hanging up my suit and shirts, meant that my carry on suitcase would either block the door, or block my shower/bathroom door. I even asked and paid more for a double thinking that it would give me a little bit more room but was very disappointed. This hotel really is for the 1-2 night stay for the local Japanese business men, not for the international traveler that may stay a bit longer. For the record, I was in the Ginza MAIN, not the ANNEX. So for those of you who do use the taxi from TCAT or Tokyo Station, the taxi driver will need to know the difference between the 2, and their GPS will need to show both. Otherwise, your cab fare will go up as your driver will drive around the 1 way streets to get to the other side of the main street that separate the 2 buildings of this hotel. Even my client (a Tokyo native) had a difficult time with his GPS. Finally, if you do use this hotel, be prepared to carry the massive keychain that accompanies the key to your room. It's a solid piece of plastic that's at least 8-10" long and took up way more space in my briefcase than I would have liked. Mehr

For the price, I think this hotel is a good deal, as long as you know what to expect. The name has Ginza in it, but the hotel is actually in Tsukiji, just outside the general Ginza area. But this is not bad at all, because the hotel is just round the corner from a metro station (Shintomicho). I had a bit of problem checking in, because the front desk could not find my reservation. A good choice for a short-stay business traveler who knows his way around in Tokyo. Its proximity to Tsukiji means that you can sample good sushi and unagi. Mehr

The Ginza Capital Hotel is very convenient place to stay for those who want to go to the Tsukiji Market: 10 minutes on foot. It is also next door to the Shintomicho station, where you can go on the Yurakucho line to Ginza in 5 minutes. Although there is not much night life in the immediate area, one can find little places to eat, such as a 24-hour sushi […] bar; Denny's; even a Starbucks. This hotel also has a sister hotel, the "Annex" which is a few bucks more in price. Both are equally convenient with the Annex a more recent building. I have stayed at both hotels and would recommend them for anyone who wants a place close to Tsukiji and the Ginza areas. Also, I took the Hibiya line from nearby Tsukiji station to go to Ueno Station where the new Keisei Skyline train goes to the Narita Airport in 36 minutes! The subway ride to Ueno takes about 10 minutes. Mehr

good location - rooms old though - but good price/location/quality tradeoff if you're on a budget

The hotel is conveniently close to a Metro subway station (2 minute walk) and the morning fish market (10 minute walk). Typical of Tokyo hotels, the rooms were quite small. My only complaint was the room smelled of cigarette smoke when I requested a non-smoking room.

The best draw to this hotel is the location. For a budget rate, you can be in walking distance from the world-class dining and shopping at Ginza (the hotel is actually in the neighbouring Tsukiji, but right on the border to Ginza). It is next to two metro stations. You can also walk to the fish-market. As most Tokyo hotels, the room is tiny.

The hotel is also located near two subway lines that connect to major transfer station within a few minutes, so the location is great. Slightly outside of the bustling major roads, so quiet, but not too far away that you feel isolated. In addition, the hotel's location is central enough […] that many attractions are within walking distance. The hotel was clean, the staff courteous (though everyone I met in Tokyo was respectful and kind), and there is a decent restaurant downstairs. I would stay at this hotel again. Mehr

La situation de cet hotel etait bien. Hotel est une sorte de business hotel mais, pas loine de Tsukiji marche du poissons et Shin Kabukiza (Theatre du Kabuki) à Ginza. Petit dejeuner avec 1000yen n'etait pas mal aussi. Matin, il faut quitter à 10h. Merci.

この立地条件を考えると最高のコストパフォーマンス。 部屋は狭いがきちんと清掃されていて、ホテルの利用目的が眠るためであれば、十分です。 一点、残念なのは、禁煙部屋を予約したのに、喫煙だったこと。チェックインの際は、きちんと確認した方が無難です。

Helt greit businesshotell mellom Ginza og Tsukiji. Tar ca 15-20 minutter å gå til Ginza og Yurakucho området der det er mye shopping og restauranter. En rekke kaféer av diverse typer finnes innenfor et par minutter gange. Bygningnen er sliten (og virker mye mer sliten enn Annekset) men renholdet var utmerket så det gjorde igrunn ikke så mye. Vi hadde […] litt problemer med å få overbevist dem om at vi hadde kjøpt et røykfritt rom (dette var bekreftet av hotels.com ("kun røykfrie rom"), og måtte bruke egne penger for å logge på mail og skrive ut hele bekreftelsen vår. Engelskkunnskapene var overraskende dårlige, selv til å være i Japan, men er du rimelig selvgående går det også bra. Ellers er det restauranter både i hovedbygget og annekset, og et rimelig myntvaskeri i tillegg til vanlig vaskeservice. Minibaren er et tomt kjøleskap som man kan fylle fra automater som finnes i de fleste automatene. Dette fungerte meget bra og jeg skulle gjerne sett den løsningen oftere. Mehr

Good for a short stay. Room was of typical Tokyo size, small. Check-out time was a bit too early in my opinion, already at 10. At the time of my stay, the hotel offered a free transfer bus to Tokyo central, wich was a nice feature. I did not use it however, the hotel is also easy accissible by Metro. Cabled internet connection worked well.

Salve! atrio modesto, addetti reception nella norma, potrebbero essere piu' accoglienti. Unico handicap l'attesa interminabile per la camera fino alle 15, dopo un intercontinentale di 12 ore.
