Aloft Dallas Downtown - Dallas

I was only at Aloft for 1 night-a quick business trip to Dallas, and so I was not able to avail myself of all of the amenities the hotel had to offer. This much I can say: the hotel had GREAT energy! The staff was superb! I longed to hang out at the bar, shoot some pool, and even maybe catch a swim. I will do those things on my next visit because I […] will stay at Aloft again! A note about the room: it was FAB! From the design of the room to the funtionality. The bed (platform, king) was one of THE most comfortable beds I've slept in while travelling, either here or abroad. Great location for activities I had going on in downtown Dallas. I like the Aloft rooms....urban chic...simple...and comfortable. Slept like a baby...didn't want to get out of that bed.

This place was very "hip", neon lighting, exposed concrete & just plain cool. A nice re-hab of an old building. Right downtown with lots going on. Room had everything needed, nice TV, wireless, usb charger & input into speakers. Beds could be nicer but more than adequate.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over the weekend because we were seeing Childish Gambino perform. We loved everything about the hotel! It was less than half a mile from our concert venue (Palladium Ballroom) and just as close to every other attraction; it was about a ten minute drive to all the places we went. I was a little wary staying here at first […] because of some of the bad reviews, but we did not encounter a single problem while staying here! The staff was very friendly (they even "forgot" to charge us for parking!), our room was spotless, the reception area was very modern looking. The pool area was the perfect place to relax and hang out. There was tea, coffee and water in our room which was nice. The bed was very comfortable. But the best part was that Childish Gambino even stayed at our hotel, so that goes to show that it is a great place to stay! The clerk told us that they have quite a few celebrities stay there when they're in town, so if you're looking for an awesome, convenient, modern, fun place to stay, Aloft is the place! I had a great stay at the aloft in dallas. The room was very clean and very pretty. I love the people workingI at the front desk they were very helpful. The lobby and bar were anice place to relax anf hang out. This will be my first choice when I come back to town.

I had always wanted to try an Aloft hotel after attending an event at an XYZ bar. I'm glad I finally gave them a try. The room was spacious and comfortable, albeit it very modern and sparse. I liked the overall aesthetic of the hotel and that it was a re-purposed building versus a new construction. The location for downtown Dallas can't be beat, especially […] for the very moderate price. Check in was very easy, the staff was very competent and pleasant. One detail, your parking is included in your hotel bill, so do not pay outside in the lot. Check in, get your parking pass and run it back out to the car...it will save you a few bucks that I wasted :) I have not complaints at all about the quality or service of the hotel, I just think I lie outside of their VERY young, hipster demographic. Although it was a perfectly fine hotel, I probably won't return to Aloft unless it is for price or location. Mehr

We tried to stay at the Aloft hotel in dallas, but were refused because we were not 21. Luckily, we called hotels.com and they fixed it for us in like 5 minutes! This best western is what we chose and they were great! Breakfast was delicious and it was actually the best sleep ive ever gotten ever! (i mean it) Definitely recomend this hotel! This was our first time at Aloft hotel and we were impressed by the unique decor and trendy construct. The room was comfortable and very functional. Overall good experience.

Good Price for Downtown Dallas. The view of the room was not good. The guest before we checked were two young pretty girls and the front desk clerk told him he gave them the best room in the hotel even though they didnt pay for it. I thought this was a great place to stay. I chose it for location and price. It was clean, modern, and offered lots of conveniences that other hotels over look. The staff was super friendly and I felt very safe here. Was disappointed we were only staying for one night!

This hotel was a real pleasure to stay at. Service was great, and the rooms themselve are very clean and modern. Bed was pretty comfortable and street noise was non-existent. The fitness center was pretty decent for a hotel and the xyz bar was a great place to hang out. There is a 10.00 charge for parking each night but that seemed to be everywhere […] in downtown dallas. This was the second time I've stayed at this hotel property and was very happy with the overall experience. I really like the modern loft feel of the hotel as well although I'm sure it's not for everyone.

The only thing I found disturbing about the room: (1) no garbage bags?! (2) Our neighbors were partying...which is fine. Its a hotel that attracts younger people and this was a three day weekend, so we expected some of that...and it quieted down after not too long.

This hotel has a great location. My room was very drafty and I had to crank the heat to sleep comfortably - I think because it probably used to be a warehouse. That also meant brick walls and utter silence, which I loved. The downstairs food selection could be much better. This was our second stay at the hotel my family loves it and it is always popular with any of our friends that stay at other facilities as they all want to see the rooms. The hotel is modern, hip and architecturally neat which makes it a lot of fun. it is not a big mega hotel which adds to the charm. The hotel is right across the street from the Dallas […] Convention Center which makes it the closest hotel to the Center. We come to Dallas for Cheer and Dance National and have to go back and forth. This is really convenient. Since this is downtown Dallas as always you need to be aware of your surroundings and the people around you. The rooms have the same modern architecture and design as the rest of the hotel. The facility is a remodeled commercial building and a lot of those features are incorporated into the interior design. The ceilings are high there is a lot of exposed concrete. Reminds me of a high end loft conversion in New York or someplace like it. Frankly a fantastic job! The rooms have a separate sitting area with an additional TV. The shower is nice and is glass enclosed. The beds are a little firm but not bad they are still comfortable. The pillows could be a little bigger. I liked them, just would like them to be longer. All of the front desk people are really young you almost feel like your too old to be there. They seem to be responsive and when we called down at 11 pm for more toilet paper it was sent up to our room promptly. When you are in your room it is more quiet then most hotels. You really feel the privacy of your room There is a snack center that also makes sandwiches and salads. They ran out of eggs one morning which makes it a little hard to have an egg sandwich without the eggs. The non-breakfast items are a little pricey but the sandwiches and burgers are top notch and nice restaurant quality. Mehr

First of all, the lobby of this ultra hip place is like walking through a dorm... But my main beef is that I paid extra for a "suite", only to find that THEIR definition of a suite meant "extra space" for a coffee table. When I looked at the map on the back of the door, the size of my room was just BARELY larger than a normal room, although there were […] SEVERAL spaces that were much larger. I guess they gave those away first, and saw me as the sucker who wouldn't notice. I DID like that they had plenty of things you could buy in their store... but overall..... meh. Mehr

The aloft total experience was awesome. Facilities and staff were great as well.

Room was wonderful- location great- NO HOT WATER in the room for two days after my wife had heart surgery

I was not happy at all with the hotel. Numerous reasons. We did not know it was a dog friendly hotel and I am allergic to dogs. We did not have hot water. We had an alarm on your phone in the room that went off at 4:30 am 5:00 am 5:30 am 6:00 am 6:30 am 7:00 on and on! We got no sleep at all. No one was able to fix or remove the alarm, so it did this […] both nights that we were there. The lights did not work and when we asked at check out why they were not fixed, we were told that one light had to be on to make all of the others work. No one told us that upfront. This was not a pleasant two nights and I would not recommend this hotel to others, ever! Mehr

Beautiful Hotel, not such a nice location and no restaurant in the hotel, friendly staff.

I rented a suite with a king size bed, and although I really dug the style of the hotel and room I thought it was a bit small. Other than that I had no complaints, the staff at the front desk and bar were incredibly helpful and friendly. If Im ever in dallas again I'll be going back.

We called it "Babyland" designed for 30 or under

Was extremely upset with the cost of the room compared to size and comfort. The room was extremely small and bathroom had mold around flooring. Staff was rude and unhelpful in suggesting places to go. They were too busy socializing instead of helping guests. Will not stay at this hotel again

It was nice hotel, but I prefer something more cozy.

This was a great hotel! The room was very nice, comfortable, clean, and had a nice view. The room had a lot of nice, small touches you don't see at all hotels and it had a good layout. There was a very loud event going on in the lobby of the hotel, but as soon […] as the elevator got to the second floor (no rooms on the first floor) we could barely hear it. Also, we couldn't hear the noise on our floor except for an occasional faint echo of bass in the bathroom that was only noticeable if you were in there. Also, the parking was really affordable compared to what other hotels in the area charge for their parking. The only complaints we could have were that there was a gap between the top of the window and the black-out curtains that still let light into the room at night and we had a hard time getting the thermostat to stay on heat. The low that night was 39 degrees which isn't too bad, but the system kept reverting back to air conditioning and it took us looking up the system online to try to figure out how to keep it on heat. What a cute funky hotel. Hotel staff very attentive and helpful-quick service to replace the broken hairdryer. Location is great-restaurants close by.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I felt like I had my very own loft apartment for a day...wish I could have stayed longer! I got an incredible rate on hotels.com!

This property has very low water pressure. A nice hot shower in the hotel is a key part of traveling for me. without that, the whole thing is sort of lost. The pressure here stinks. I talked to the front desk, and it's a property problem, not a room problem. the water is better than a trickle, but not much. Also, the website says free parking. BUT […] the property actually charges $10 per day for parking. Mehr

The wife and I spent the night and it was a very good experience. It is downtown, close to things downtown, and felt secure. The staff was nice as was the room.

My overall experience at the hotel was not bad at all. But when I got ready to check out the front desk clerk said there would be a charge of $10 for parking. I was not told there would be any parking charge at check in. This is not New York or Chicago where parking is limited. That was an immediate deal breaking for me. I didn't check in until 11:34 […] pm, and a parking fee was not part of the conversation at check in. When my credit card was ask to be swiped. I had prepaid so I was very unclear why he would needed to swipe my card in the first place. There shouldn't be any extra for a overnight stay checking out the next morning. But I guess that's the easy way of getting the $10 dollar for parking. It's not so much the amount it's not being told about the amount or parking up front. Mehr

I stayed at the Dallas Aloft with my wife and 2 kids, and we really enjoyed it. It is close enough to downtown to enjoy many of the nice restaurants and coffee shops as well as the museums, and for the price, it is a great value.

As these are loft-style rooms in essentially a warehouse the Acoustics are different from a normal hotel. We enjoyed the contemporary design and plan to stay there again in the near future. Really a fun place to stay.

We had a great time at the facility. From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out, everything was perfect. Justin at the front desk was friendly and extremly helpful in recommening which room and floor to take, and again the next day with checking us out. The Aloft Hotel in Downtown Dallas was such a pleasurable experience. I loved the decor in both the lobby and in the rooms. The bathrooms and wide screen TV's we really nice touches. The building that the Dallas location was in was very conducive to the decor. The beds were super comfortable. Over all we were very happy with the Hotel and plan to stay […] at Aloft properties whenever available! We found a chain hotel that has the feeling of the boutique type hotels we normal look for!!! Great place, great time. No complaints at all.

The Hotel was very nice and romantic for my husband and I, we spent our anniversary their. The only thing, was the hot water because it's an older building. We had to cut the sink on for the shower to get hot but it was a really nice hotel. The hot water is nothing major just a little step backwards

Enjoyed our stay. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, but room was small. A couple of things that caught me by surprise - my wine was served in a plastic cup and they do not have a free hotel shuttle service like most of the hotels in the downtown area.
