This is a nice-looking hotel, but with some serious drawbacks. It is adjacent to a loud sports bar with patrons sitting outdoors and spilling out into the street and parking lot. Despite asking specifically upon check-in for a room away from the noise, we were still on the 2nd floor and able to hear people yelling. There is no secure parking option […] for the hotel. The room itself was well appointed, but loud. The hotel is constructed poorly and you can hear activity in neighboring rooms and from the street, and the HVAC is disruptively loud. We were also unpleasantly awoken an 9am by the maid service, despite arriving late the evening before and with checkout not until Noon. Convenient to the Domain Mall. Not very convenient to Downtown Austin. Fun hotel if you're looking to shop and party, go somewhere else if you want to sleep. Mehr

Stayed here during SXSW. Staff was excellent. Would have preferred to be downtown but there just wasnt anything available. Still only took about 10 minutes to get into town from Aloft. Very nice property, enjoyed the modern features including the lounge and pool table in the lobby area. Pool was smallish but still nice to sit by. Beds comfortable, amenities […] nice. A bit over priced but not rediculous. Mehr

The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to a mall area with various eateries.Being just 3 to 5 minutes from Hwy 183, the location means easy access to all of Austin. The staff was extremely helpful. Loved my stay and will look for the chain in places I need to visit in the future.

Great value for the location. Our showerhead was broken in our room so the water pressure wasn't great but other than that it was a great stay. Fun, hipster kind of boutique hotel.

Fire alarm went off at five in the morning on Saturday. We trudged outside and waited in our car in the parking lot while the whole thing got sorted out. Turns out there wasn't a fire, just some doofus being a doofus and messing about. I would definitely stay there again, but the Husband would prefer not to.

We love this hotel. The rooms are large, the beds comfy and you cannot beat the location.

Pillows were very unconfortable

Though the Hotel is okay, the parking is horrible. The Hotel shares a lot with a sports bar around the corner. The parking lot is packed and to find a spot is difficult and who knows who is walking the lots. The Hotel provides no security or designated parking for partrons, rather you must find a spot. My Brand New Car was damaged in the lot and the […] staff advises they are "trying to work on a solution." Too Little, Too Late....Don't stay here if you value you vehicle or safety. Mehr

We enjoy the Aloft Hotel chain -- nice "vibe" and a pleasant stay. The hotel is about 10 miles north of downtown Austin, at a new outdoor shopping mall. So, if you would prefer a downtown hotel, this is not the place for you.

This hotel was very good location. Close to shopping at the Domain. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and well kept. Hotel is contemporary modern but not cold feeling.

When we arrived at the hotel, there was no one at the front desk. We proceeded to the kiosk check-in station and my SPG number was not recognized. A staff member told me "oh, those things don't work." Well, if they don't work, please put up a sign or get rid of them. Someone finally came to the desk to check us in, but he was clearly frustrated by […] a very loud/possibly drunk (not that there's anything wrong with that) crowd in the lobby. Security arrived shortly after and the police were circling the hotel for some time. Not the welcome I expected. We stayed in room 315 and it was really noisy. The elevator and ice machine noise were almost as bad as the noise from the bar down below. There was also a large stain on the carpet at the entrance and the carpet is seperating from the wall and fraying. We have stayed at the Aloft for all of the UT home games for two years and loved it until now. We will sadly be making a change. Mehr

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Very modern, no frills. On site pool/outdoor area was small but nice. No bathtub, but there is a large shower. Room has a desk area on one side and an in-room air conditioning unit on other - a bit noisy. The beds are comfortable. No view. Pool table in the lobby was great for our sons. No restaurant on-site, but […] you can purchase sandwiches, snacks, etc. in a small refreshment area in the lobby. No doorman. We would stay there again in a heartbeat..This is a modern, clean hotel with a polite and helpful front desk staff. About 10 mins drive from UT area. Mehr

Love this hotel, will definitely come back.

The rooms are soo comfortable, clean, etc! Will never stay anywhere else again! Location is awesome!

Great location, great bar but room was not comfortable. The bed was very uncomfortable. The room was noisy from the very active bar next door. I think the focus to be an environmentally focused hotel sacrificed the comfort of the guest. The price warrants other considerations for hotels in the same area. I will not recommend or return to ALOFT. I will […] go back to the traditional Westin at The Domain. Mehr

Very clean, very young modern....not necessarily the comfortable type modern, but perfect a weekend stay. Overall easy and great stay.

The Aloft Hotel at the Domain is a great place to stay. Modern design, friendly and helpful staff, and the location is great for shopping at the Domain. Special thanks to Dani at the front desk - awesome customer service!

This was a great hotel to stay at, the price was right, it was at a shopping center with really great restaurants. If they could have take away some of the heat it would have been absolutely the best!

This hotel is a very nice and conveniently placed. The king size bedrooms are small but well laid out. The bathroom was very clean and the cleaning lady is very thourow... I really enjoyed my stay there and I would stay there again if I needed to.

My husband and three kids stayed there this past weekend and we all loved it. Very clean and new. A very modern hotel, not like your "normal" hotel rooms. We absolutely loved the shower. The location was perfect for us, it's right across the street from Neimans but also a walking distance to all the other great shops! We'll definitely stay here aga […] in. Mehr

I found a little bit noisy if your room is above of the bar that is below the 2nd. floor, we end up moving to 6th floor and away of the bar.

I'm a seasoned traveler, this hotel actually made me start looking for aloft hotels worldwide, extremely nice and the service was outstanding.

Our stay at ALOFT in Austin was perfect. This hotel has a simple contemporary modern decor which we loved. The Staff was very friendly, hotel very clean. A new outdoor shopping mall is right across the street. And downtown Austin is just minutes away. We would stay at Aloft again!

The hotel is located on one end of outdoor mall aka The Domain. I was glad that we could park across the street for free. The have no concierge. The rooms are small, walls thin but the beds are comfortable. The issue I had was that apparently there was a wine festival at The Domain. Nobody in the hotel and nowhere was that announced. We only found out […] after driving an hour to a vineyard where they had a ton of flyers. Upon my arrival I mentioned this to the staff and smart mouth said he had all the wine festival information in his head but didn't want to clutter the reception area with the info. I didn't appreciate his comment because the reception area is cluttered with other flyers. I prefer a hotel with staff trained to give positive customer service. Mehr

Very nice. Loved the location, close to shopping and restaurants. Only complaint, no valet or bellman to help with bags.

We loved it - very hip decor while maintaining a very comfortable atmosphere. Everyone was great, the beds were comfortable, and we liked the shower! Great location near lots to do!

We recently stayed one night so that we could do some shopping and have several places with in walking distance. The new hotel was awesome. We really enjoyed the retro decor and although the rooms are small they are hip. The full service bar was plus. We enjoyed sitting on the over sized chairs and listening to the lobby music. I highly recommend ALOFT […] to anyone who wants to shop the Domain and stay at a hip hotel for a great price. Mehr

The decor and neighborhood are fabulous, but the beds and pillows are definitely lacking. The service at the desk was decent, but they don't seem to answer when you call. I would recommend this hotel for a night or two. The surrounding mall area is fabulous. There are lots of high end shops, as well as cute little restaurants. I wouldn't recommend staying […] here if the majority of your time will be sent downtown, as it is not very close. Mehr
