Lage für seightseeing in Ordnung, da die U-Bahn nur einen Block entfernt ist und man sehr schnell z. b.am Rockefellercenter ist (5 Stationen). Auf dem Weg von der Station zum Hotel habe ich mich auch im Dunkeln nicht unsicher gefühlt, die Leute dort waren sehr nett, z. B. in dem kleinen Laden am Eck. Das Hotel war sauber, Frühstück war ausreichend nur […] der Frühstücksraum zu klein. Wir haben unseren Tisch dann immer mit anderen geteilt, das ging schon. Spätestens nach 5 Minuten hatten wir einen Platz. Das einzig negative an dem Hotel war, dass das Zimmer etwas klein war (aber dennoch ausreichend) und dass man für das Aufbewahren von Gepäckstücken 1 Dollar pro Stück verlangte. Mehr

Das Hotel ist gut geeignet für einen kurz Trip nach New York. Kurzer Weg zur Metro und dann in ein paar Minuten in der Innenstadt. Die Umgebung besteht aus alten Häusern und Werkstätten. Das betrifft aber ganz NY. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort wohnen.

Gute Anbindung an das U-Bahn-Netz. Leider verfügt das Hotel nur über einen sehr kleinen Frühstücksraum. Empfehlung: früh aufstehen, dann hat man eine Chance auf einen Platz.

Wir waren mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 Jugendlichen für 4 Tage in New York. Dieses Hotel ist sehr gut an das öffentliche Verkehrsnetz in New York angebunden. Das Zimmer ist ausreichend groß und sauber. Für einen nicht allzu anspruchsvollen Kurzaufenthalt in NYC absolut geeignet mit Blick auf die Skyline von Manhatten! Perfekte Subway-Anbindung. 10 Minuten bis zum Times-Square. Frühstück war sogar inklusive! Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis (für New York)

Das Hotel liegt in Queens, in der Nähe der Queensboro Bridge. Vom Flughafen zum Hotel haben wir uns ein Taxi gegönnt, Kosten ca. $40. Das Hotel liegt aber nur ca. 150m von der nächsten U-Bahn Station (21st Queensbridge) entfernt, man könnte also ohne Probleme auch diese nehmen. Der Check-In war wie erwähnt problemlos und ging sehr rasch. Das Zimmer […] selbst (Doppelzimmer mit King-size Bett) war auch OK. Relativ geräumig mit WC/Bad, Klimaanlage, Flatscreen, usw. Kritikpunkt war höchstens die Lautstärke in der man die anderen Gäste hörte. Aber auch hier haben wir schon schlimmeres erlebt... In punkto Frühstück habe ich mir persönlich nicht besonders viel erwartet - und genau so war es dann auch. Ein meist überfüllter Frühstücksraum mit nicht wirklich viel Angebot. Sehr positiv war aber die erwähnte U-Bahn Station in unmittelbarer Nähe. Haben uns sofort den 7-Tages Pass gekauft und sind ab dann alles mit der U-Bahn gefahren. Man ist auch sehr schnell vom Hotel mitten im Zentrum - die Station 47-50th St - Rockefeller Center ist z.B. nur 4 Stationen entfernt. Kleiner Tipp zum Schluss: Ein Ausflug in den 10 Stock des Hotels lohnt sich auch - von da hat man einen echt sehr schönen Ausblick auf die Skyline mit Queensboro Bridge! Mehr

Hotel lag nicht in Manhattan hatte aber eine gute U-Bahnverbindung nach Manhattan. Lage etwas schäbig das Hotel war aber sauber und hatte alles was man braucht. Frühstücksraum etwas klein daher manchmal Wartezeiten für einen Tisch, für Amerika ein annehmbares Frühstück (haben schon weniger bekommen). Das Hotel ist sehr nett und gepflegt, jedoch die Lage ist nicht die Beste. Die 5 Gehminuten von der U Bahn in der Nacht sollte man sehr schnell gehen. Das Viertel wo das Hotel liegt ist heruntergekommen und ein ärmeres Viertel. Frühstück ist vorhanden, nur die Frühstückzeit ist nur bis 9.30 und der Raum sehr klein. I chose this hotel because it had parking. No parking was available and I had to park on the street. When I asked about alternative parking I was told to put my name on a list and if someone moved out I would be contacted, I was number 10 in line. If you're going to advertise parking, make sure it is identified as limitted

Although close to the 21st street Queensbridge station on the F line, the neighborhood around it looked shady. But good enough for the price and proximity to NYC.

Overall, the hotel was very good. It was only a 2-block walk to the subway that allow you to get to Time Square within about 25 minutes (that includes the time it took to walk to the subway, wait for the train and the short ride into the city). Further, the room was very nice. However, you need to be aware that the neighborhood is a bit on the edgy […] side. But, I did not have any problems and I made this trip alone (in other words, i walk alone from the subway to the hotel at night). Mehr

my mother paid for the say by credit card and i was asked for a $100 deposit because my id didnot match with the card. was not told of this at time of booking and paying

The hotel was ok, we stayed for a night only with three kids. The room was small but ok for only one night. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was include, but a bit disappointing, the minute maid juice dispenser were out of order. I would rather have paid for the breakfast and have better options....than the free petty […] one. Overall good value for the money! Mehr

Great clean cheap hotel for New York. Room was nicer than most Best Westerns & could not believe the roominess for a New York hotel. Neighborhood looked schetchy, but we had no problem going to & from the subway, which was one block away. We spent all of our time in Manhattan, so this was perfect for us! Poor neighborhood. Not a terribly convenient location. The hotel seems to cater to a backpack sort of crowd which is OK but wasn't quite what we were expecting. Staff was OK, had a little trouble ordering taxis, though. The property is reasonably clean and neat and exceeded out expectations in that respect. Sketchy neighborhood, wouldn't take subway at night. a lot of the staff couldn't speak english...hard to catch a yellow taxi from the street.

Really like the hotel, it was clean, quiet, and easy access to the subway(2 blocks away) and easy access for cabs from Manhattan. They even have an underground garage, small but great if you can snag a spot.

Our room was clean and nice so nothing to complain about there. We mostly booked this hotel because it's a lot more expensive to stay on manhattan. If you're in NY to visit manhattan mainly, but want to save some money on your hotel - this is a good way. The subway is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and gets you straight to rockfeller center etc.. […] for only 2,50$ and with a taxi it costs you about 10-15 $ (including tip) and that summons you right on times square so it's not far away. Would recommend it to others. Take a taxi if going home late at night though, the neigbhorhood could be a bit scary at night. Pros: We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights alsmot feel like home! A nice place to have a good night sleep after long walks in Manhattan. Close to subway and convinient to get around. Room is just a good size, not too small not much spaces as well. Bed is very comfortable although I don't know why they provide 3 pillows on a double bed. Cleaner is honest […] as we leave everything behind whenever we go out. Neighbourhood does not seem the best but we always feel save. Receptionist staff is friendly. Cons: Shower leak therefore the shower floor is always wet after shower. Breakfast is really bad quality especially the orange juice which tasted like water. Breakfast staff is also not as friendly. We only had 1x breakfast out of our 5 nights stay. Cleaner only provides 1 toiletries for 4 of us so we had to ask the receptionist each time. Also very important feedback for the hotel management, we took the stairs to go down a few times and found garbage bags are everywhere on the fire staircase. Not only the fire escape is stinky but I know in some countries it is illegal to block the fire escape ways. Mehr

The best western plaza long island city is an excellent hotel without the Manhattan prices. It takes 10 minutes on the subway, which is located a few hundreds metres away to get to central Manhattan. Alternatively you can walk over the queensborough bridge, although busy with traffic, there is a designated pedestrian lane and great views of Manhattan […] and Roosevelt island. The area itself doesn't appear great but we never had any trouble or felt unsafe at night so would say that there is nothing to worry about, even getting the subway home. Breakfast is fine, if you are happy to grab a bagel or a doughnut and a coffee in a Styrofoam cup on your way out for the day then its perfect. There aren't enough tables for the number of hotel rooms vita we found we didn't want to sit around anyway, we wanted to see the sights! You can take breakfast back up to your room or out with you for the day too. The rooms are quiet, clean and neat and the sheets are changed everyday. the shower was amazing and everything you needed was included. All in all a great stay with no complaints at all and would def recommend this hotel! Mehr

When I called hotel in advance to check about parking, I was told that there are about 30 parking lots. But when we arrived, we found parking with up to 10 places, and no place was available. So if you travel by car, I won't recommend this hotel. Also the place for breakfast is very small, so tables were always not enough. Imagine 7 tables for the hotel […] with around 200 quests!!! Mehr

I felt very comfortable in the hotel. The first day I was a little worried, because the hotel has no more than 5 speces for parking, then I parked my car on the street. No problem at all about that situation, you only need to read carefully the signs about garbage recolation (time and days), bacause if you are parking that period you will must to pay […] a fine. The best thing of the hotel is the nearest subway station (1 block, line F). I also drove to manhattan by car, and you will need only 12 minutes to Brodway and Radio City. This hotel is super convenient for getting into the city, as the F train only takes a couple minutes to get to the major sights of the city and it goes through a few stations that connect with practically any of metro. For the price, considering it's NYC, the hotel isn't bad, but it's a bit run down, and some things are broken. My tv was broken, so […] eventually they moved me to another room. The elliptical machine was broken, and the tv in the exercise room didn't work. I enjoyed my stay because I could get to the city so easily, and that was what I wanted out of my trip, but the actual hotel was just alright. Mehr

Site stated free parking, but hotel had very limited space and the parking lot was full by the time I checked in.

If you want to be close to Manhattan and to LaGuardia airport, it is a good hotel. The breakfast room was crowded as were the elevators but there really wasn't a problem. The neighborhood was not as bad as some others would indicate.

Hotel was nice, clean,people were friendly. 1 block away from subway. The only problem I had was finding parking. other than that I wold recommend.

About a block away from the nearest subway station, and within 10 minutes you are in Manhattan Island, shopping, walking and site seeing. Cab ride cost about $10+tip if you don't want to confusion of public transit. The neighborhood is sketchy, but I don't think I was in any danger. There was a mother walking around with 3 children, so it can only […] be so scary. The rooms are clean and all the amenities are there. The shower is a bit on the low pressure side, so don't expect to get a great shower. The bed is on the very soft side, and squeak when moving around in bed. The noise level is acceptable, but I am sure your neighbors definitely know what you are doing if you are on the wide side. The wide was not desirable, but for the price and knowing my location this shouldn't be a decision point. For almost 1/2 the price of any hotel on Manhattan, I would recommend this hotel. Mehr

Rooms were well appointed and clean. Comfortable bed, all necessary amenities were supplied. Staff was very courteous and pleasant. Neighborhood is a little seedy, and parking is limited. Very convenient if Manhattan bound

This was my family's first trip to New York so we were not sure what to expect. I was impressed with the level of customer service that my family received during our stay! On our first night, we had a hard time getting a cab. The hotel clerk came from behind the desk, went outside and got a cab for us. She even printed out directions for him to get […] us to our destination! Whenever we needed more towels or toiletries, the staff was efficient about getting them for us. The hotel was fairly new, very clean, and had plenty of parking. The breakfast was sufficient. Plenty of pastries, cereal, juice, coffee, and fruit. The neighborhood was not glamorous but we felt safe. The F train was only steps away from the hotel and got us to Time Square in about 15 minutes. The hotel met my expectations, the customer service exceeded my expectations! I will definately stay here again and again! Mehr

Probably one of the best mid-budget hotels I have stayed at in NYC. Ok neighborhood but great location (very close to the Queensboro bridge). Free parking (close to 25 slots!) and a very decent breakfast. It is a tipicall BW hotel. No luxuries, but comfortable, clean and nice hotel. They should improve the quality of their breakfast.

Affordable alternative to paying top dollar to stay in Manhattan. This is just a block from the F train - just 2 stops off Manhattan. When you're staying in NYC, you don't need much more than a quiet room and comfortable bed for your accommodations, and this place offers both.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Although the neighborhood is a little sketchy, the subway station is close by making the city very accessible. For the cost of the room compared to Manhattan, it is a great deal.

We stayed at Best Western Plaza for a week in Oct and found it very acceptable. It made a good base without the New York price tag. The room and breakfast were good and it was very easy to get to Manhattan on the metro.
