Fairmont Nile City Cairo - Kairo

Hinweisen möchte ich jedoch auf zwei Begebenheiten, die mir nicht gefallen haben. Wir checkten spät in der Nacht ein, schliefen entsprechend lange u. waren erst um 10:55 h am Frühstücksbüffet , das nur noch abgesuchte Frühstücksreste bot, ab 11 Uhr wurden wir gedrängt den Raum wieder verlassen, mussten aber trotzdem den Preis von 20 € pro Person bezahlen. […] Wir haben natürlich dort nicht mehr gefrühstück. 2. Bemerkung: der Internetzugang ist auf mindestens eine Stunde angelegt, die bezahlt werden muss, egal ob Sie 5 Minuten oder 60 Minuten im Netz sind, es gibt keine Einscheckkartet wie z. B. in anderen +++++Hotels wo Sie die Zeit unterbrechen können. Mehr

Rooms are rather small and and unpractical. Not enough space for a second suitcase, so the writing desk needs to be used as second suitcase stand.windows cant be opened, aircondition is rather noisy. Beds use duvet covered with 2 loose linens only, which is a bit disgusting und unhygienic, as you have the used duvet exposed on you most of the time. […] Bath spacious but also not the most practical. Location on the nile but you will need taxi to reach centre of Cairo. Mehr

In front of nile city, excelent view of the Nile. Kind of away from the piramids but nice hotel and even better service, have a mall at his back. Watch out of the Egyptian guys because they are always trying to get your money, if they tell you a price negotiate for the middle they tell you.

Excellent hotel and even better service, incredible view from the rooftop pool of the Nile. But have to say that it's far for the piramids and airport, for relaxing its like no other, the willow spa its one of the best we went to. I would say that it's a 9 of a 10 because of the location.

The hotel staff was quite hospitable and eager to assist with hospitality that seemed genuine. The location of the hotel is a little challenging given Egypt's recent past, and traffic to and from the hotel is not fun. Still he hotel is faily well located close to most must see sites with views of the nile from a variety of vantage points. As usual in […] most hotels the price for dining at the hotel is somewhat steep and the variety of restaurants can be improved. Internet is not included in the room rate and probably should be even if the room rate is raised a little to offset costs. I did not spend much waking hours at the hotel so its probably not fair to give an overall rating but since I must I would rate it as a four (4). Mehr

Perfectly appointed, beautiful location on the Nile. The staff was incredibly gracious and professional and the security is top notch. Rooftop pool is beautiful. We will definitely stay again in the future!!!

We recently stayed several nights at this hotel and were pleased with the quality of the accommodation considering the environment it is in. The only complaint about the facility itself is that our water service failed. They were very apologetic and switched our room immediately, but I still had to rinse off from an incomplete shower with an ice bucket […] and cold water. Be aware that the hotel is a bit of an island in the area it is located. It is a taxi ride to go anywhere. We did walk to the Egyptian Museum, but I would not recommend it. The route is not pedestrian friendly. Mehr

This is a premier hotel. The standard room that I had was first class. Beautiful bathroom, comfortable bed, good work station, nice TV with plenty of English channels. I ate by room service often and had the all you can eat sushi buffet which were all very good. The cost of food and internet access was on the high side for Cairo but everything was great. […] It is easily accessible and not too far from downtown. The view from the rooftop pool and patio was great and I also used the free spa services (sauna). Mehr

Everything was perfect. First time in a Fairmont and they earned my respect as a business and will get my patronage again. Security was topnotch; I felt safe with my family even during these tumultuous times in Egypt.

The Fairmont was a wonderful stopover for one night after taking a tour through Egypt and Jordan. The food was excellent, a bit pricey for the breakfast buffet, but quite a spread.

We had a very short stay. The hotel was superb. Direct access to the Mall make it very convenient. Friendly staff and hassle free stay. We would like to come back - definitely.

This hotel is a peaceful and relaxing oasis in the middle of chaotic Cairo. The service is impeccable and the hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The shower/bath is designed very well, although it would have been nice to have been able to run the rain showerhead simultaneously with the other showerheads instead of one or the other. We had a great […] view of the Nile. The drinks are a bit pricey but the best we had in Egypt. The Vietnamese restuarant was very good. The rooftop pool was very nice even in the middle of winter. This was the most perfect hotel we ever stayed in.

I was expecting full veu of Nile rever in the 1 st day they change my room twos cause it was parshely veu then they give me segnuter room on the 4 th floor which I couldn't sleep cause cars noise 2 nd day they move me to 11th floor which is very good and I enjoy it. Also I was expecting Internet vrey which they refuse at time of checkout the want to […] charge me of 47EL if men bar which I did not open. Thank you Mehr

A lovely hotel in a good location for the Pyramids. The staff were extremely helpful. We chose not to have breakfast in the hotel as very pricy; there are loads of eateries close-by including in the adjoining shopping mall. We did eat in the grill restaurant one evening and had a superb meal which was very reasonably priced. The rooftop pool was great […] to relax by after a hectic day in Cairo however the pool is not heated and was freezing. This hotel deserves 5 stars. Mehr

Have traveled the world, and this was the best stay in 50 years of travel. The level of service exceeded the 4 Seasons and Ritz benchmark. From the manager to the pool boy, I met 40ish employees, over a weeks stay, and every single one, without exception was exemplary of "hospitality perfected". As a business CEO, I don't know how they did it, and am […] still marveling. The physical plant was immaculate and spectacular. If this hotel was replicated in the US, I would never stay any place else again. Sorry to be so effusive and hypy, but it really was that nice of an experience. I happened on a stunning summer rate (thanks to Hotels) which was all that much sweeter. Fairmont hit the mark, and set a new level in the process. Blissful. Do it. Mehr

Fantastic hotel and staff. Very friendly and efficient. The hotel restaurants also has lovely food at UK prices and quality. Would certainly stay here again.

The hotel was fantastic. Great rooms, service and location. The only problem is that the hotel is new within the last year or so, and many cabs got lost trying to find it. The language barrier made it difficult, but be sure to request the card with the map and directions in Arabic. This new hotel is amazing! Very luxurious, few guests so the staff is completely at your service. Our view of the Nile was spectacular (11th floor). If you are looking for something other than the huge and expensive breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant, try the lounge in the lobby. Pretty much impossible to cross the street to walk along the river--so […] much traffic. Concierge was very helpful in finding us an English speaking guide for our twosome as we were only there a couple of days and were unable to make contact with the tour group that had been recommended to us. Also, weird layout with the entire bathroom viewable in the bed area. But overall, quite the beautiful place. Mehr

Black lacquer decor really gives feeling of quality and excellence. Really good restaurants. Dislike indoor smoking but that's Egypt.

This hotel could not have been nicer. Not only the accommodations, but the staff went above and beyond. In a city that is very hectic, this hotel was a wonderful place to come back to after a day out and about seeing the sights in Cairo. They even offered private tours of the Pyramids which was worth the extra money

Excellent experience! Only complaint is the price of the Internet. Everything else was superb.

Servicio excelente y habitación muy espaciosa con unas vistas impresionantes. En los bajos del hotel hay unas galerías comerciales con restaurantes internacionales, un cine y un starbucks. Por otro lado, está un poco apartado, aún estando en el centro no es viable ir andando a ningún sitio. La piscina no es enorme pero esta muy bien. Pocos turistas, […] la clientela es más bien árabe, pero igual es que fuimos en temporada baja. El hotel es bastante nuevo y está todo super limpio. Nos gustó, pero no diría que es un hotel "con encanto", es más bien un hotelazo a todo trapo. Mehr
