Even though the weather did not cooperate, the hotel was fantastic. We oohed and aahed over the townhouse we stayed in and had plenty of space for us four girls. It was chilly out, but we got a shuttle ride (door to door!) down to the pools, got a strong drink from the swim up bar, and lounged. I had a beautiful room but, I'm a germ phobic and once I pull back the comforter there was dried white body fluid on the inside of the comforter. Totally gross, housekeeping said they wash them upon request!!! Five star hotels with 1 star housekeeping services.

Great room- wonderfully decorated and super clean!! These are privately owned condos. I guess it's luck of the draw and we were VERY lucky. They charge a 22$ resort fee that's not posted- they couldn't really explain why...check in is very confusing- you actually have to go through a residential area to check in...weird! We have stayed in at least 5 or 6 condos in the Myrtle area, and this was the best BY FAR! Unfortunately, the weather was too chilly and rainy during our stay to enjoy the many wonderful outdoor pools that the resort has to offer. It was great to be walking distance from Barefoot Landing. Our 2BR condo unit was fabulous. My only issues were that the […] wireless Internet connectivity was terrible, and the elevators can be super slow during busy times. Was greeted by wonderful staff but room wasn't ready and it was already 430 that afternoon. But after a quick tour of the place I got a call on my cell that we were ready. Walked into a beautiful room with a beautiful view of the ocean and great balcony space. 1st night of showers we noticed the walk in shower light didn't come on, no big deal as there […] was plenty of light from the other fixtures. Next day call to housekeeping wanting exchange of towels and had noticed that the trash before us had not been taken out as well, again no big deal. When we got back to the room outside was a trash bag full of towels and a note which said,"please leave old towels and trash outside for pickup." I thought was pretty odd but at the same time I knew that the bed hasn't been made cause if they left that outside they surely haven't been inside. That night of showers noticed the water wasnt as hot as the night before, but again no big deal. The final night was when the hot water was completely cold and nothing was done about it! The end! Very poor customer service for such a nice facility. Had to wait 3 hours to check into room even though there were plenty of rooms that were available. Was not allowed a 1.5 hour late check-out, even though there were plenty of available rooms. Pillows in the bedrooms were flat as pancakes and hard as rocks. Linen on bed very cheap. Staying in a two bedroom condo, instead of a hotel room, can not be beat. Plus the amenities provided by the North Beach Plantation resort are all first class, especially the 21 Main restaurant which served us some of the best food we have ever eaten.

Stayed for a week and wished it was longer. We went off season so it was very quiet which was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful view, wonderful staff and an overall excellent experience. We will definately be back. Allready planning for longer stay next year!!

I booked primarily for the use of the indoor pools. Air temperature was cold. Front desk ignored our request for a baby crib three times. Finally delivered it on the fourth request.

Two towers, each at about 45 degrees to the beach so everyone gets a beachfront view. A parking deck next door to the towers, and a beautiful pool plaza between the towers and the beach. Each unit is an individual condo, so my pictures probably don't represent the room you get. There are also 75-150 single family condos, nestled between the two towers […] and Highway 17. Because it's condo-style, there isn't much in the way of food service. A modest cafe for breakfast and perhaps lunch, but a limited menu: eggs any style, bacon/sausage/ham, some fresh fruit, pancakes/waffles. Our room had a full kitchen, one bedroom and a sofabed in the living room. One very nice bathroom with a jetted tub and a two-person shower. Each room has a balcony overlooking the plaza. The Plantation is directly across Hi-way 17 from the Village of the Barefoot Traders. Very easy ingress/egress from the often-traffic-choked Hi-way 17, via SC 31 and SC 22. Mehr

This is not as much a hotel but rather condominiums which are rented out. The location is top notch; beachfront, across the highway from the House of Blues. Multiple outdoor pools would make for ideal summer location. If you are expecting all of the amenities of a hotel (room service, bath robes etc.) you might be disappointed. Some specific problems: […] Beds quite firm, minor sleep disturbance due to smoke alarm chirp from unoccupied unit. Felt add-on charges (extra 65$ in fees at check in) and automatically adding 20% gratuity to spa services (located a mile away), changed our cost to value perceptions. Thought this was an oceanview room. Turns out we were in a townhome at the front of the property overlooking Cracker Barrel parking lot. Consult Disney they do an excellent job of screening to make you feel your are in a jungle, etc. All amenities were in the tower compex a mile away via a shuttle cart. Problems with internet connection and then returning […] one night entrance gate locked and we wernt given code to get in. We left at 6am but no one at desk had to find a guard post at another entrance to return our keys. I coulda stayed at a Comfort Suites for half the cost Mehr

North beach plantation lives up the expectation with all the high remarks from the prior travelers. This is truly your home away from home with all the comfort, amenity and location that can satisfy the most picky travelers. I would definitely stay there again next time I am in Myrtle Beach area.

We expected a place on the ocean but ended up in a very nice house. No hotel or hotel service. Lady at Main 21desk was very rude Christmas Day eve. Everyone else was great. Wild have liked to have been on the beach. Good job we brought food as nothing was open.

Wonderful accommodations! We especially enjoyed the hot tubs and lazy river after our rounds of golf. Staff couldn't have been more attentive and polite. Our only recommendation would be for a more comprehensive breakfast restaurant on site.

This Hotel is extraordinary. If you want pools, you have them; beach, you have it. The view from a very large veranda is awesome. The spa and fitness facilities are great. It is a great place to get away and spend time alone; or, with family.

We had a one bedroom unit and our stay was for 3 nights. The king size bed was low quality and hard. The linens were cheap and rough. Three pillows on the bed of thin, very uncomfortable foam with a bedspread and blankets that matched the low standards. Hardly a "Dream" bed to catch up on your sleep and relax during a vacation. Two of the lightbulbs […] on a total of three table lamps weren't working and we arrived at 9pm. Overall, the kitchen wasn't well equipped for cooking. For example, only place settings for four, which doesn't go far after breakfast and lunch. There were cereal bowls that still had store stickers on them, so I was washing dishes before breakfast! There was no daily housekeeping of cleaning, making beds, changing sheets, vacuuming which we weren't told in advance. We had to request clean towels. I don't recommend this hotel because I didn't receive the value I expected from the money that I paid. Mehr

We stayed two nights for a weekend break. A deeply discounted rate made it affordable. The value was fabulous. Huge apartment, luxury appliances, beautiful view on the Atlantic, completely quiet and high class. Lovely beds and baths completed the experience. Great location on the beach, pool complex was fabulous, staff was terrific, condo furnishings were superb. Construction is top-quality as you couldn't hear anybody above, below our unit and there's not too many beach condo complexes that you can say that about. Definitely will stay here again!

I love this property. The grounds and view are spectacular and the rooms are great. We've stayed here twice and love it for that reason. Hotel staff - restaurant, cleaning, maintenance, pool - are all wonderful. My only complaint is the front desk staff. I'm unsure if it's a lack of knowledge, training or authority, but I did not find the front desk […] staff as helpful or as accommodating as a hotel of this level of luxury should be. Mehr
