"Highlight unserer Reise!"
Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 5. Okt. 2012Die Boundary Lodge hat alle unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir haben eine günstige Alternative zu Hotels Banff gesucht, da wir spät gebucht haben. Hier haben wir nicht nur günstiger als in Banff, sondern auch deutlich günstiger als in unseren anderen gebuchten Motels übernachtet. Und das wirklich wie in einer Lodge: In einer tollen Wohnung, mit genialem Bad und Dusche, toller Küche mit Geschirr, einem gigantischen, super bequemen King Size-Bett und einer Wohnecke mit TV und -(HIGHLIGHT!)- Kamin! Haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Auch das Personal war super freundlich. Und das unmittelbar am Banff NP-Gate gelegen. Ein Traum!

"Gutes Hotel, leider hellhörige Zimmer"
Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 21. Sep. 2012Das Hotelzimmer war sauber, komfortabel und die Hotelanlage insgesamt ansprechend. Einziges Manko ist die Hellhörigkeit der Zimmer, wir haben unseren Zimmernachbarn leider jede Nacht schnarchen hören dürfen und dies in einer Lautstärke, die das Gefühl gab, er würde neben uns im Bett liegen.

Great location, but the parking is awkward underground behind the hotel if you are driving. There is loud music into the night from the bar above the hotel and the rooms are not very sound proof - so not a great choice if you go to bed before midnight. If your looking for something right in the heart of things the King Edward is the place to stay. I enjoyed that all the best clubs were just across the street, that the coolest places to eat were just around the corner and that the shopping was just next door. This is a nice place to stay for a few nights or even a ski vacation. Close to everything, cheap and the staff are great. For the price, a nice hotel in an excellent location. The front desk attendant was very nice and helpful. The hotel is a bit on the older side and does not have amenities, which probably brings the price down. The room was nice, bright and clean. The location is unbeatable, it is right in the middle of downtown Banff close to all of the shops and restaurants […] we wanted to go to. Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable Front desk staff, Very clean room, good location for tourists like us from British Columbia. Close to Greyhound Banff and bustops. Surprisingly quiet for being in the middle of downtown Banff. Beds were really comfy (lots of extra pillows). Parking for vechicles was in a public parking garage around the back with the option of parking in a secured area for $5 extra. Hallways were a bit noisy but not too bad. The hotel is right above a very noisy bar so you could hear people yelling and partying all night. The parking structure is a block away so you get to carry your luggage back and forth. The room is dirty, the beds are uncomfortable, no iron, the ironing board was broken and they didn't replace it, the hair dryer over heats and stops for 10 minutes after 20 secs of use. It was the worse hotel we'd ever stayed at - very outdated, small, and dirty. Beds were very old and uncomfortable we couldn't sleep. A/C didn't work. Enjoyed the stay. Location fantastic. Rooms satisfactory. Registration - friendly and polite receptionist. Room with a TV & small fridge. Coffee-maker and coffee in the room. "Arrived and Left - stuck paying for the room."
Once I arrived and checked into my room, I was horrified. It seems my room had been stuck in time since 1982. The room was very shabby and not at all up to date. I couldn't tell if it was dirty or just old and worn out. My guess a combination of both. I pulled back to top cover to check out the sheets on my bed. The first thing I saw was some kind of […] goo (greenish white in color) on the blanket. That did it for me. I just left and found another hotel. "smallest, most uncomfortable room ever"
Although the staff was very helpful, the room itself was miniature for the cost, the bed was hard as rock, a VERY small "queen" and ancient (at least 15 years old)!! In a place that was so beautiful, the room seemed totally out of step with the atmosphere of Banff. It was extremely hot without A/C! "Good hotel...."
The King Edward is in a great location because it's close to all the shops downtown. But, I stayed there on a Friday night and the problem is all the drunken morons that are screaming and yelling in the streets from 11pm to about 2am as they come and go from the bars. "Very bad experience!!!"
No AC, extremely difficult to find out how to open the windows. Bed frames are risky, because its made of steel and are sharp. Noisy. Overall a very bad experiencr and would not recommend it to anyone!Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

"Noisy patrons kept us up"
Well located but parking was a bit of a hike. Patrons during night woke us up, but call to off site desk clerk brought him to hotel to address the noise. Located central to shopping and restaurants--seccond oldes building in town.Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

"NOT AT ALL AS PORTRAYED ON WEBSITE"
++++++disatisfied. Wasn't told to book parking so had to park in public lot and risk a ticket. No luggage cart so had to haul bags by hand. No legal place to park and unload luggage. Room HOT, no A/C so had to open windows, no screens and open to stairway from 3rd floor so any 2 or 4 legged creatures could have crawled in. Left a sour taste re Banf […] f. "NEVER AGAIN."
The location of the hotel is right on mainstreet across from all the bars so if you have any ideas about sleeping, it won't happen until after 3 pm. It's nearly impossible to unload in the "loading zone" so I lugged all my baggage down the street. The room was old and had torn sheets and stunk and I mean reeked like baby powder. I searched high and […] low to see if I could find some sort of air "freshener" tucked in the room somewhere. The staff was very friendly but this was my first and last stay in this hotel. Good room, small but okay for a night or two if you don't plan on being in it often. Bed was old but it served its purpose. Your on a main street close to the center of town wich is great except for the street noise in the morning. For the price of it compared to others in town its great.
