Homewood Suites by Hilton Palm Desert - Palm Desert

We were in a non-smoking room and the adjoining suite tenants were smoking . The smell of the smoke was in our room. The hotel staff said they were supposed to be checking out that day so we thought we would let it slide. When we returned that night they had extended their stay and so we had another smoky night. The staff was extremely apologetic and […] did everything they could do to rectify the situation but still it ruined a couple of nights of what was otherwise a great stay. The Pool garbage also was not emptied for the whole 6 nights we stayed. They were emptied on the last day when we left but the garbage was overflowing and stacked all around them by this time. Mehr

It was a perfect place to crash after long days of festival/music/dancing. The pool and hot tub were nice, and well used. Very clean place, and helpful when they could be. Not close to a lot of activities, but I didn't need this place for any reasons like that. Just a clean, quiet, comfortable place to catch up on sleep.

The facility had all necessary amenities including pool, nice exercise room, and reasonable breakfast. In addition they served dinner to the guests Monday through Thursday including beer and wine! A rare treat! Well worth the money.

I didn't realize that the hotel was that far from downtown Pallm Desert. It seemed like we were driving forever to get there ( we came over the mountains). But once we got there we were very impressed with the room, and everything that went with it. The extra cost for the suite was well worth it. Property emulates a very nice prison. The pool is in the middle of the building and you can't see the surrounding mountains. The soap, shampoo towels and items in the room that are provided are the bare minimum. Twice we called the front desk and twice our concerns were not addressed. Hotel is conveniently located, quiet and staff was very friendly. The mid-week light, hot dinner and buffet breakfasts were a nice addition to the stay. We also liked that there were no hidden fees: no resort fee, free parking and wifi. We would definitely stay here again.

We recently spent five nights at Homewood Suites in Palm Desert. The service was excellent, the food was great and we really liked our room with kitchen. It is in a safe neighborhood, but not near the main street of town. We were fine with that as we had a rental car. We would stay there again in a minute...wish we could get away again !!!! What a lovely stay at this doggie friendly hotel! The room is so large, with a kitchenette. Nicely decorated, clean and seems recently decorated. You couldn't beat the price and the people at the desk were kind and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The only thing that didn't give it a 5 was the location. It's in a nice clean good neighborhood, but […] its not very close to town, we knew that but we were willing to drive a little further to get a great price at a lovely hotel. This is not a resort which is great because we didn't want one. We were in town to attend an event, so we didn't want to deal with a large hotel. I'm a girl who loves the Four Seasons and the Ritz Carlton, so if I give a good rating you can believe it. Mehr

We stayed over the New Year holidays and with all of the business of the hotel, the service was not compromised one bit. The only issue we had was, guest were allowed to have their pets in the dining room, sitting at the dining table eating with the family. I love and enjoy animals but I do not believe they should be allowed in the dining area at all, […] especially at the table. Each and every staff member was very pleasant and accomodating. Pool and hot tub were good. And, the free food and wine was definitely a bonus

Easy to find, and located near convenience stores and restaurants. I liked my room alot, except that it was over the lobby, which was rather loud from the breakfast crowd in the morning. Other than that, it was a perfect stay :)

The room was very clean, the bed was comfy and the sheets were nice. The staff was very helpful and the light dinner worked out great for us. We didn't go to the breakfast (we slept too late). My only complaint was our room (240) was right next to the laundry vents which were right outside the window next to the bed. We could cover the noise with the […] A/C, but it made the room hot and the A/C didn't work that well. It wasn't too bad since it is winter but I would imagine it is pretty bad in the summer. What a nice surprise when we found not only an immaculate roomy suite with kitchenette, great king bed and two flatscreen tv's but they also serve a full complimentary breakfast daily PLUS a full complimentary dinner from 5 to 7PM Monday thru thursdays ( wine included!!) Very friendly and helpful staff too. We would definitely come back.

The people at the hotel were very friendly and professional. I was surprised that not only do you get a free breakfast, you all so get a free dinner, which includes wine and beer. Rooms were large, with full kitchen. Love the bed and all the pillows

We stayed in a studio king suite and were very impressed with the room. Full sized fridge and all the little things you'd need in a kitchen like a can opener and corkscrew. Super comfy bed, nice Neutrogena toiletries. The only downside I could find was no bath tub in our room. Website said all rooms include "jetted bathtubs" which I was looking forward […] to, but our room only had a shower stall. I was pleasantly surprised that the breakfast buffet was complimentary every morning (I saw other reviews that said breakfast was not included? It was for us.) The living room has a loveseat with a pull-out bed, extra pillows in the closet- so this place would be perfect for families with children. All in all a REALLY good value for a really nice room. Most hotels in this price range do not offer as many amenities. We had dinner at ROC's Firehouse Grill right next door and it was excellent. Mehr

I visited this hotel in August of 2011.It was very nice. The staff were very friendly. The pool was clean & temperature was nice considering it was 102 degrees. The room was perfect. They provided everything in the kitchen including paper towls, dish detergent , & the detergent for the dish washer, they also had tuberware!The bed was comfortable. My husband and I were impressed by the comfort of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The only issue we had was that the elevator had no air conditioning, a problem in August in Palm Springs.

Rooms, exercise room/equipment, breakfast are great. Pool area is a little small. Main drawback of the hotel is service outside the rooms. Towels are not restocked in the pool area or exercise rooms even after requests; eating utensils are not restocked timely in the breakfast area; we were there for 3 days and it wasn't until the last day that the […] pool was serviced...up til then it was cloudy and gross! Homewood is now the only place my wife and I stay at now when we go down to Palm Spings. The hotel is very very clean and the service is excellent. I go down there to golf and for the price and all that you get with this hotel it is a win win for me.

Close to freeway..store available next door.and to all you starbucks fans..just a short walk to your favorite java spot..quiet location..and friendly staff..would stay again..close to many must see sights.

Over all stay was nice. In a good spot. Close to freeway, shopping centers & restaurants. Bed was comfortable along with pillows. Water pressure was great. Room was very clean except for the cockroach I found the first day in the doorway half dead. Other than that, the hotel was nice. We didn't use the pool or spa.

The hotel was really nice, the staff was friendly and courteous. We have stayed there for 2 nights. The first day we left the hotel at 8:30 am, and came back around 3 pm. The room has not been cleaned. When we called the housekeeping to ask for service. One of the staff members brought us clean towels but informed that all housekeeping maids were gone […] for the day. I have no problems with making the bed, but walking around the hotel looking for garbage bins to take the trash out and no clean towels in the room was inconvenient and annoying, it was a vacation after all. My hotel experience was very nice. The rooms were nice. I realy liked the workout facility. It was not very big, but very clean and had modern equipment. I was impressed with the complimentary breakfast. Did not expect hot food. Very good. I would recommend this hotel and also stay there again.

It was a perfect little getaway for our family. They were very accomodating when we had to check in early and a bit late because of our baby's nap schedule. The bedroom suite was nice, although it was so windy one day that the AC sounded like there was a dead cat in it. Other than that, we couldn't have been more pleased with our room. Went to Plam Springs for the LPGA Golf tournament and two days of playing golf. Luckily we did not have to do busness all four days. There was virtually no cell phone reception. The hotel staff said they were aware of the problem. Seems like they should invest in their own cell tower for business guests. The staff at the hotel was very uncooperative, no manager on site. Very loud noice room! Could not sleep all night!

Freeway access, close to stores, but quiet room, and convenient layout.

beautiful room. kitchenette excellent. clean, tasteful, roomy. but with children aged three and five, i advise you get a room on the ground floor. the floors were thin and regular walking made reverberations.

First, the hotel is new and nice and very comfortable. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. Our room, however, was right next to the elevator shaft. The elevator is very noisy, and I mean very noisy. Ask not to be in a room anywhere near the elevator.

Spacious rooms, great breakfast. Not a great pool if that's what your family wants.
