Very good quality room with amazing shower - we did not try all its functions! The motel is reasonably located, but not within easy walking distance of town/restaurants. Some of the rooms are better situated than others. Ours was close to the road and hence suffered from traffic noise (although there's not much through traffic after 10pm). Upper level […] rooms with balconies would also have a better view of the mountains or (possibly) the ocean. Free wifi available, also laundry facilities. Mehr

The + : - comfortable room, - welcoming staff - modern bathroom. The only - : - you will need to drive your car to get to the city centre, because it might be a bit far to walk.

very helpful manager--knowledgable about area--willing to go above and beyond. Great people skills.

Fantastic place to stay. Totally recommend if you stay in Kaikoura. Close to Whale Way station. Modern and very well kept room. The owners were great.

Spa Shower, musty bathroom. Small Tv. On main highway, but quiet. Need to drive to main restaurants.

The managers are very friendly and accommodating people, which makes a stay enjoyable . the rooms are excellent and the little resturant serves great food which is not always the case at many motels . we will definitely be staying with them again and do highly recommend it.david and susie

The motel was very clean, and the room we stayed was well equipped with bedding, utensils and toileteries. The location was very near to a supermarket and that gave us added convenience to shop for groceries. The staff was friendly and accommodating as I had requested to view a few rooms before settling down. From the photos for this hotel it seemed all rooms would have a sea view - this was not the case with the "triple studio". This was really a double room with the queen bed moved over to make room for a single bed pushed against the wall. Kaikoura stretches quite a distance along the water- this motel is on the way out of town- not that convenient for […] a one night stopover. Mehr

This hotel was the easiest of our 6 hotels we stayed in to find. It was right off the main road. They were very accomodating as to our late check in. We called a day ahead to inform them we would not arrive til after midnight and they stated they would leave the room unlocked and the key in the room. There was a mix up on the bed situation, but they […] made up for it by allowing us to check out late due to the fact of the dire need to do laundry. The staff was very friendly and they provide one free hour of internet to all guests. Mehr

Got to Kaikoura in the rain, canceling plans for whale-watching, but things brightened significantly when we got the Aspen Court. Very friendly staff, spacious room, comfortable bed, and a wonderful, multi-jet shower made up for much of the disappointment. Would stay there again.

The room was great and furnished well. The only down side to the stay was that there was no air conditioning and the sun was very hot on the two days that we were staying there.
