Homewood Suites Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Thought the hotel was great for my two day stay. Only complaint was the internet -- wireless is only available in the lobby, with cables in the rooms. Mine was kind of short but the front desk kindly offered me a longer one when I asked. Also appreciated the connection with the Hilton next door; used its fitness center a few times.

The friendliest front desk I have encountered in a long time!

Hotel was very convenient to my relatives house. In house sundries store was well priced. Delicious breakfast free every morning and free wireless to boot!

The staff here was phenomenal. They said "welcome home" whenever I got back to the hotel, and each of them knew my name. I think that if I had asked for a hug, they would have given it happily. But the location is very far from the city center and there is no good or easy public transportation. A taxi into town is cost me $23-25, which given that I […] had to go in and out several times for six days cost a few hundred dollars. Mehr

Room was very spacious...had a full kitchen and sitting area/living room along with very comfortable bed and large bed/bathroom area. Too bad we were there for less than 10 hours! I highly recommend. Only negative was the fitness center they advertised is actually at the Hilton next door.

The hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. It was great to have the kitchenette and working/living space in the room. They offered a free full breakfast buffet, which was convenient and offered nice choices. It is not within walking distance to shops or other venues, which is the only negative. Great hotel . . . front desk staff a little slow but over all ok.

My husband and I took our grandchildren to the Homewood Suites Philadelphia on New Year's Eve for a "slumber party" to usher in the new year. As soon as we got there, we saw the 6pm fireworks going on at Penn's Landing from our room; the kids were so excited! They later watched the fireworks at midnight, too. In the morning, they enjoyed watching all […] of the ducks on the Belmont Reservoir. Breakfast, courtesy of the hotel, was great - I made waffles at the waffle station for everyone! It was very cozy and clean. The General manager Robert and front desk employee Vanessa were great! They accomodated my party of TEN with geniune smiles and courtesy. My husband works at a hotel and we chose this hotel INSTEAD of one of his affiliated properties...says a lot, right?! Mehr

Stayed two nights with family. Hotel was clean and comfortable. The room configuration was very nice. Morning breakfast buffet was varied and tasty. Would definitely return to this hotel.

From the moment I walked in the door, the staff of this clean, well-appointed hotel was friendly and welcoming beyond your average hospitality industry welcome. The front desk clerk had given me and my friend 9th floor rooms with a fabulous view of the Philadelphia skyline. She invited us to have a complimentary dinner provided to guests certain weekday […] evenings, and made sure we knew of all the amenities available. The difference was that she did it in a way that so sincerely warm and genuine that I felt like I was a guest at her house, not a hotel. Best hotel stay I've ever had. So good, that I asked the manager how I could let someone know, and now I have. Mehr

All were excellent including Breakfast and staffs; but Front Desk night shift staff needs some smile to greet the guests....

In addition to the unexpected, fantastic view of the evening Phili skyline, Homewood Suites-Phili had a wonderful room, great facilities and a fantastic breakfast. All that aside, we were impressed with the staff. It's obvious that they enjoy working there and appreciate their customers. Being very close to Target with Starbucks and a few other restaruants, […] you can certainly find whatever you need. Our primary reason was to see the Barnes Collection 1 1/2 miles from the hotel. We booked this particular hotel through the 800# for hotels.com. Our only peramiter was that it be kind of close to downtown and the tourist/history sites. We were very pleased. We had plenty of room for 5 adults, including a full kitchen. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we could possible need. The weekend we stayed, both the Homewood […] and the neighboring Hilton property were FULL--every room--and they only had one person on the front desk. It was still a great stay! Extra pillows and blankets were delivered within 10 minutes, travel information on getting back and forth was readily available, and the staff was professional and courteous. We stay at a lot of hotels so this was a great find. When our shuttle bus left us stranded downtown at 6 pm, we were able to catch a bus to the hotel for $2 apiece. The continental breakfast was a wide array of choices that were fresh and warm and promptly refilled. Also, Vanessa at the front desk was AWESOME! We took almost all the advice she gave us. They do not pay her nearly enough! She handled all customer relations situations calmly and beautifully. You cannot train someone to do what she does naturally. Mehr

We have stayed at a lot of hotels in all price ranges and this hotel exceeds personal service of the best. Staff are friendly,curteous and helpful at all times. The hotel is going through renovations but you would not even know. No noise or confusion. This hotel will be our first choice next time we are in Philly.

The kids enjoyed the pool. We all enjoyed the breakfast. Pleasant experience.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was professional and courteous. The pool stayed open until 10 PM, which was a plus when your traveling with children. It was close to the major highways and had a supermarket with in walking distance to the hotel. Parking was good as well. Valet or self parking you choose and it was reasonably priced. Close to city center and all the attractions. Great view of the City Skyline. Buffet breakfast is excellent. Rooms are comfortable but needs updating. Good overall.

We were traveling around the Philadelphia area with our 2 year old daughter. We had a great experience at this hotel, the room was big, very clean and easy to get to. Kitchen was a plus for traveling with a child. Easy access from the hotel (by car or by public transportation) to Center City Philadelphia as well as all the towns along Rt. 30.
