Budget Inn - Anaheim

If you want a hotel close to Disneyland, stay on Disneyland drive! We thought this would be a good pick but it wasnt! The room was stuffy, general people hanging around were creepy. Everything was clean in the room, Ill give them that! The furniture is all metal, the bed was really hard and it was soooo hard to get good sleep! Thought we paid too much […] for the "budget" inn! On the plus side, this hotel was very clean, had a fridge and microwave and was conveniently located. Down side, absolutely bare bones. Soap and shampoo were icky and there were only two small, shabby towels (for three of us). Room was good sized, but with almost nothing in it. The pool was locked. For the price I paid it wasn't a bad place to stay. The room was clean and it was very close to disneyland. The only thing that I would suggest is bring your own towels. The towels I had in my room had some type of bodily hair on it which was pretty gross but other than that it was ok.

Upsides: The room and bathroom were clean. The pool looked well kept up. About as close to Disneyland without being at the Disneyland resorts (and of course paying the resort prices) as you can get. Quiet night because it is literally squashed between two other hotels (Best Western and Days Inn- both on Ball Road). Free parking. :) We walking to Disneyland. Downsides: […] If you tell yourself that you are not getting a breakfast, you will be fine. Don't stay here if you are looking for a free breakfast in the morning. If you're looking for anything more than someplace to flop while at Disneyland, this is not your hotel. It lists continental breakfast, & free wifi, though in reality you get Folger's instant coffee & a a choice of Costco danishes; wifi had some passcode & username attached, which we couldn't get. Towels were thin enough to see through & the airconditioner […] spewed out a funk like you've never smelled. Room was big, balcony over the parking lot wasn't exactly rife with views. The Hotel was really nice and clean and we enjoyed our room. One of the reasons that we choose to stay at this hotel was because the had a continental breakfast so that we didn't have to go out to eat. Well, their breakfast so they call it was so disappointing. They only had week old pastrys all one flavor and coffee. And the next morning was just the […] left overs. The hostess was rude the day we arrived she and accused us of already getting the our internet code the day before... the day before we hadn't even check into that hotel. The beds are hard as a rock so don't stay there if you have a bad back or need a good nights sleep. Over all our stay was nice but we wouldn't stay there ever again. Mehr

I enjoyed my stay at the Budget Inn. It was very simple. But also very clean and had a pool. My 7 year old loved it. No amenities really. Just an affordable extremely clean hotel. We were at Disneyland all day so we just needed a place to sleep and a place to cool off. If that is what you are looking for. It is perfect for those on a budget.

location is good for disneyland visit. but manager is very very bad.

The Budget Inn was just what I expected. It was a place to sleep and close to Disneyland. The only thing that was a little disappointing, was that each day I returned to the room the air conditioning had been shut off. Otherwise, it was what I expected and perfectly fit my needs of being close to Disneyland and being inexpensive.

We stayed just one night in between marathon days at Disneyland. We called ahead to ask about late check in and it was no problem. We didn't check in until almost 10pm having spent the day at Disneyland. It is literally around the corner from the Mickey and Friends parking lot. We planned a day and half trip to Disneyland and planned to visit both theme parks which was quite hectic. We realised that we would be spending all day at the park and decided to pick a cheap hotel just for the night. We were pleasantly surprised at how large and comfortable the rooms were. The shower was great with good water pressure. It was about […] a 15minute walk to Disneyland (or $7 cab ride). Let me being by saying that when I travel I view my accommodations as mostly utilitarian. Luxuries I can do without as my interest is in having a comfortable bed, functioning bathroom, and a place to keep my personal items safe anything beyond that is nice to have but not a requirement. However, the location of this hotel makes access to the park on foot rather complicated and difficult. For Pedestrian access to the park the hotels on Harbor Blvd. are much better. On the subject of parking, the Budget Inn parking lot was small but adequate during my stay but the lot fills up quickly in the evening. My room was spacious and clean, the beds were firm and comfortable, the bathroom was in good repair, and the television reception was clear with a wide selection of channels. There was a small refrigerator, microwave, steam iron, and hair dryer but no coffee maker or alarm clock. My second floor room was accessed from an internal corridor and had a balcony that overlooked the parking lot. From the balcony you can see the Disneyland parking structure but the orientation of the hotel prevents you from seeing the park's fireworks display from the balcony. However, while you can't SEE the fireworks you certainly can HEAR them - and occasionally feel the vibration from the explosion. The noise wasn't a bother for me - as I wasn't trying to sleep during the display - but for anyone travelling with children or light sleepers this may be an issue. The room's heating, what little I used it, worked well. The "breakfast" isn't a breakfast - it's instant coffee and a box of pre-packaged pastries from Costco (but I'm not saying here for the breakfast). The surrounding area provides plenty of access to restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores, pharmacies, etc... If you happen to forget a toothbrush or need a band-aid for t Mehr

Okay as little as you are in the room while visiting Disneyland. Desk clerk not helpful about local transportation, talked down of Anaheim shuttle system. After hiking to the park a few times, we find out the hotel next door sold shuttle tickets and the system works great. There are very few if any food places around the area. "Room service menu" found […] in room, was for a closed restaurant and the local pizza delivery had a lot to be desired. I stayed in this same hotel for 4th of July weekend and had a king size be for the hubby & I. This booking I got 2 queen size beds for my best friend & my stay so I could show her around LA the next day... This time the beds were NOT comfortable at all. They were super hard along w/the pillows which was a complete 180 from the soft king bed I shared […] w/my husband just 2 months earlier. The room & decor are the same (nice) but the towels were hard hotel towels (of course) BUT I found HAIR on my towels before I even opened them up to use!!! GROSS. Look, I understand it's called "Budget Inn" for a reason. But, there are certain standards that I've come to expect from even the lowest grade hotels — especially one that literally touches a wall to the park. I'll explain the worst offenders. • Lighting I'm all for compact fluorescent bulbs, but the one they put in made the room feel like a jail cell. […] Everything looked pale and sickly. I couldn't relax. • The Bed My partner and I was supposed to get one, queen sized bed, but instead we got two full sized beds. There was a cheap blanket made of artificial fibers— which was really uncomfortable — and no comforter or top sheet (even Motel 6 has that!). The pillows were made of stone. And we both could not sleep on the same bed because we were both tossing and turning so much. I was scared of knocking my partner off the bed! No restful sleep was had, and we had a day of walking ahead of us! •Toiletries The bathroom was spotless, I'm not complaining about that. But, considering we were sleeping in a room for two or more, they only stocked enough soap for one person. Not to mention, the shampoo came in little packets, not too disimular from the one you might find in a packet of ramen — furthering the feeling that you're staying in a prison next to Disneyland. I know this is "Budget Inn", but COMMON!!! • Interior Decoration I KNOW THIS IS A BUDGET INN. And, believe me, I've been in my fair share of cheap Motels. This room was large, and it was so sparsely furnished, that it just felt odd. This typically wouldn't bother me, but it came to my attention after the prison lighting, the prison bedding, and the prison toiletries. A little more attention to detail, (sometimes detail is free) could have made a dump like this feel a bit more cozy. But, then again, this IS a hotel for families. And I could imagine that this vast space between the beds and the TV could house vast amount of souvenirs and screaming, playing children. •WiFi The WiFi is free, but the reception fluct Mehr

When first enter the room, there was a very strong smell (maybe some kind of spay). It's not the bathroom odor. The bathroom is kind of clean. The room is kind of small. Everything seems ok, except for the strong smell which makes me feel uncomfortable.

My stay here was wonderful. The front desk attendant was knowledgeable of the area, suggested restaurants and gave good directions. The room was clean and comfortable. Was within walking distance of Disneyland. Great place to stay!

Clean room, easy check-in/out short walk to Disney, friendly staff. Coffee and doughnuts in the morning if you want them. I can't believe I got a room this close to the park for the price. It is right across the street from the employee entrance. Be aware, that this hotel is CLOSE to Disneyland and Disneyland has a fireworks display many nights. The […] fireworks make a big BOOM and caught me off guard for about 1 minute. If you are in your room at firework time you will hear BIG FIREWORK BOOMS. Chill, and enjoy your stay. Mehr

The location was perfect. Not the most glamorous place to stay by any means, but served its purpose to be close to Disney, so the rest didn't really matter. Would stay again because of the location.

If you are looking for somewhere near Disneyland - just to sleep - then this is the place for you. It is a 10-15 minute walk (with kids) to the front gate at Disneyland. Getting back to the hotel is easier, as you can take the shuttle to the "Mickey & friends" parking lot and then cut through the Disney staff parking (be warned - the security guard […] will not let you INTO the parking area, but by the time he sees you leaving...it's too late for him to say anything). The beds are VERY hard (& I like a firm mattress) and the breakfast consists of coffee and Danish only (no juice or anything for kids) - Instead, go to the gas station across the street for milk and individual servings of cereal etc & keep them in your room. this hotel has a great location, it's sad that the hotel doesn't live up to the surrounding hotels that seemed super nice. The bathroom was really dirty, and for some reason the bathroom was never cleaned when I was there. The hotel is a few feet from a major intersection - which is kinda bad for entering the road, but once you exit and turn right you can go left to disneyland parking or right to dwntwn disney :) The bed was HARD but the room was nice. We had an upstairs room which has another door leading to a balcony (with no patio furnature on it) It was too cold […] out anyways ... The water in the room also didn't get very hot at night or during the day - which sucked and the tolite was a bit noisy (high powered suck/flush to conserve water) There's also fo drawers in the tv stand/ dresser so if you need to store clothes you're screwed. There is a spotto hang clothes though. I Overall it has nice decor (crown molding, cherry wood furnature) and I would stay there again. Good for the price. Mehr

Bed was a bit stiff. Just a room to sleep in not to spend time in. We used it to sleep after our day at Disneyland. Would stay again. Disneyland parking lot about a 5 min walk to take tram best bet.

Well this hotel was kept up pretty good. The office people were really nice, they helped out a lot with directions to other places we were looking for! And the fact that it was just down the street from Disneyland was great!!

At time of check in the room was not ready. I got to the room and it hadn't even been clean up yet frm the previous guest. NO coffee pot was avbl and on my secnd morning there no breakfst was avbl not even coffee ;O(

Es un Hotel Regular. si tienes planeado ir a Disneyland esta a 10 minutos caminando este hotel, un poco lejos, el hotel esta solo pa llegar a dormir, nada d lujos, limpio y del servicio no tengo comentario, solo hize check in y check out.. hay hoteles mas cerca de Disney..
