Yosemite Bed and Breakfast - Mariposa

Familiäre Atmosphäre. Freundliche Gastgeber. Sehr schöne Lage inmitten der Natur. Frühstück leider erst ab neun Uhr, auf Nachfrage auch 8.30 Uhr (leerer Magen ist schlecht für lange Anfahrt nach Yosemite), kein Ersatzangebot (Lunch-Paket o.ä.) bei früherer Abfahrt. Angrenzendes Hotelzimmer akustisch nicht ausreichend isoliert (Schnarcher!)

This was my first B&B experience and it could not have been better. Clay and Joy, the owners, were terrific and the place was amazing. If all B&B's are this good, I will definitely stay at others!

Lovely place, lovely people, nice little swimming pool, quiet surrounding, not in Mariposa, Sage room has no window and no view, and is not very private (connected to the hosts house by two inside doors).

Great little place, great room and amazing homemade breakfast. However if you are looking to do the National Park and you have limited time then this might not be the place for you. The drive to just get to the entrance was over an hour not the 45 minutes people have been saying. To get into the main centre it's closer to 1.5 hours which means a 3 hour […] round trip from the centre to the accomodation. Therefore if you want to maximise your time in the park then stay closer. If you are just taking your time and are happy to have breakfast at 8-30-9:15 then this place is for you. Mehr

Amazing place to stay, peaceful, private and with a wonderful host and hostess. Breakfast was excellent and served by our happy hostess and host. Not too far from the park and a welcome retreat at the end of a full day. I highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone.

We stayed two nights at the Yosemite B&B near Mariposa. It was our first experience of an American B&B and it was a most enjoyable stay. The location was in the heart of the country a beautiful peaceful setting only minutes from Mariposa town. Our hosts were very relaxed and helpful and the home cooking was excellent. This was my first time at a B&B and I was pleasantly surprised! Clay and Joy are very nice people and gracious hosts. The room was comfortable and I just felt that it was much better quality than a lot of the run of the mill hotels out there that I've stayed at. The breakfast was great! Different breakfast every morning, home cooked and served in a […] family style manner where you eat with the other guests. A great way to find out who else is staying there. There are little details that surprised me as well - a small refrigerator with bottles of water and there were large jugs of water in the room as well. Little jars of snacks as well. All free of charge! The hotel is a about an hour 15 minutes to Yosemite Valley, but it's a scenic drive. Definitely will stay here again and when I travel now I will definitely try and stay at B&Bs more! Mehr

We stayed in the Sage room which was very clean and comfortably decorated. It had a double door to the pool area 15ft away which was the only light and ventilation access into the room. While we found the hosts very helpful and gracious, this particular "Sage Room" afforded us the opportunity to hear any sounds coming from the kitchen or adjoining rooms […] through the closed doors along with anything going on around the pool. Of course that means anyone could hear what was going on in our room or bathroom. The other rooms are further away and more likely a little more "private." The location was beautiful and we enjoyed the view and numerous birds that visited their feeders along with deer. Mehr

We stayed here while on a weekend trip to Yosemite. The family who owns the home and rents out the room is extremely friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was good on both days we were there. The view from the breakfast window is great. The area is pretty. The only thing that I didn't like about it is that it was really far from the Yosemite entrance […] (about 45 minutes) and 15 minutes from Mariposa downtown itself. Mehr

Breakfast couldn't be better, rooms clean and convenient. Wildlife every evening and morning. Backs onto conservancy property, so very quiet. I have already recommended this hotel to friends.

Driving up to the B&B I thought we had made a terrible mistake as it was fairly out in the sticks and approximately 5 miles from Mariposa and about 45 minutes drive to the park itself. However, we had a friendly welcome and were pleased that there was a pool etc. The room was very small but comfortable and clean and homely. Your room at Yosemite is […] not really a priority as you are mainly out and about walking etc. We quite enjoyed the drive to and from the park, however, if you were staying for longer than a night or so, you would probably want to be inside the park itself. That said, the accommodation in the park is extortionate, and places like Curry Village are the absolute pits of the earth, do not go there, you will faint on the very sight of all these filthy tents! After we saw that, we rushed back to our retreat at the Yosemite B&B, grateful to be in the cosy clutches of Joy and Clay and our nice comfy bed! The thing that really makes this a memorable stay is the scenery from the large back balcony, it looks over the sprawling valley of pine trees and it is truly is a wonder of nature. Clay and Joy have done much to attract local wildlife, right up to the balconies and if you stay still you will nightly see the wild deer appear right in front of your eyes, along with raccoon and others. During the day, hundreds of humming birds come to feed and in the mornings, the wild turkeys arrived for their breakfast. Meanwhile, we were at our table having the best breakfast I have every had in my life, with ham and eggs, blueberry muffins and homemade jams. If you are prepared to do the easy drive to the park, I would recommend you stay here. I would even go and stay for one night on your way back. We saw more wildlife here than in two days at the park. Beau bed and breakfast à 5 miles de mariposa, Accueil parfait, les propriétaires sont très sympas et sont de bon conseils pour les restaurants du village. La maison est en pleine nature avec une vue magnifique et une petite piscine charmante. On a un peu l'impression d'être dans sa résidence secondaire. Det skønnest beliggende Bed and Breakfast midt ude i naturen, som blev gjort endnu bedre af fodringen af dyrene, der gjorde at rådyr, egern, kolibrier m.m. kom på besøg lige nedenfor terrassen!! Og verdens sødeste værtspar - Joy & Clay - gør at man føler sig mere end velkommen og efter 3 dages ophold næsten tager afsked med et nyt venne-par! Really nice B&B. Confortable, clean. Really nice people working there.

Her oplever du et amerikansk hjem, amerikansk gæstfrihed og et dejligt amerikansk morgenmåltid. Kort sagt : Et skønt sted. Kan varmt anbefales.

Los dueños sólo alquilan 3 o 4 habitaciones, y te tratan como si fueras de la familia. Los desayunos son abundantes y riquisimos. Solamente está a 10min de Mariposa y a 1 hora de la entrada del parque de Yosemite. Las vistas desde el hotel son impresionantes, ya que sólo ves bosque, está en un lugar muy tranquilo y rodeado de naturaleza.

We stayed in Sage room for two nights. After whole day in crowded Yosemite NP is this place like oasis in desert. It´s on lonely place with beautiful nature around...when you open bottle of wine, sit on terace, watch sunset, hummingbirds and enjoy the view, you can not relax more. On top of that, you can refresh yourself in swiming pool and in the morning […] enjoy very tasty homemade breakfast. If you are looking for place to relax, you shouldn´t miss this place. Mehr

Dit is een echt bed and breakfast! Het echtpaar Joy and Clay heeft een grote cottage en daarnaast nog 2 aparte kamers. Wij hebben de cottage gehuurd voor 2 nachten. Het is een geweldige plek de cottage is een compleet huis en volledig ingericht. De plek is geweldig, heerlijk om bij te komen van de drukte. Het ontbijt 's morgens is echt een complete […] maaltijd aan een keurig gedekte tafel in de keuken van het echtpaar, elke morgen een belefenis. Alles is vers en over heerlijk. Het echtpaar is geweldig gastvrij. Zijn er dan geen nadelen, nou eigelijk nauwelijks. We kunnen nog noemen dat het wel wat ver rijden is, zeker 1 uur rijden vanaf de ingang van het park Yosemite en de weg is lastig. En het is natuurlijk niet goedkoop, maar je krijgt er wel veel voor. Recommandé si vous aimez la nature et le calme. Propriétaire très sympathique et serviable. Chaque jour petit déjeuner différent et copieux. Chambre très propre. Nous avons vu plus d'animaux aux abords de la maison que dans le parc.

I cannot recommend this B&B enough. This 4 room B&B has the most beautiful location, with a magnificent view over the valley from the terrace on one side of the room and direct access to a closed yard with swimming pool on the other side of the room. The pool area has spots with beach chairs for enjoying the sun and nice shady areas to relax in the […] shade. From the dining tables available on the terrace you can view the magnificent nature of the valley, look at the humming birds, the wild turkeys or prepare a meal on the Weber Grill at your disposal. We spend 2 nights here while visiting Yosemite, and actually decide to drop going to the park one of the days to enjoy the facilities of the B&B instead. Breakfast is fantastic, good food all made from the ground and with love. Mehr

Ha sido la primera vez que nos hemos alojado en un estableimiento de este tipo, lo que llamamos "turismo rural", y ha sido muy positivo. La casa esta en una zona de bosque, a unos 45 minutos del parque Yosemite. Clay, el dueño, es encantador y nos preparó unos desayunos estupendos. Además, si os gustan los animales, podréis ver varias especies de pájaros […] revolotear desde la ventana; llaman la atención un grupo de colibrís que acuden por las mañanas y los podréis observar muy de cerca!. Un lugar tranquilo y acogedor y un anfitrión muy agradable y atento. Mehr
