Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 25. Feb. 2013Das Hotel selbst entspricht einem guten Standard für New Yorker Verhältnisse. Es liegt direkt am Times Square und ist somit zentral zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ab und an war etwas wenig Druck auf der Leitung und das Wasser war zum Teil nur lauwarm, dies ist jedoch verschmerzbar, da es nicht kalt war, sondern lauwarm. Einziges Manko: Kofferaufbewahrung nach Check-Out mit 5,- USD pro Schließfach sehr teuer.

Die Zimmer waren zwar nicht sonderlich groß aber trotz allem war alles vorhanden was man braucht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Die Nähe zu gleich zwei verschiedenen U-Bahn Stationen ist wirklich top. Vom Hotel aus ist man innerhalb von 10 Minuten am Timesqaure.

Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, die Dusche und Toilette nur durch eine Glasschiebetür und Vorhang vom Rest des Zimmers abgetrennt. Ich hatte mit einem Freund zusammen ein Zimmer mit zwei getrennten Betten. Man sollte sich schon sehr gut kennen, wenn man beim Verrichten seines Geschäfts jedes Geräusch aus der Toilette im Zimmer mithört. Sehr gut war das superschnelle Internet ohne langes Codes und langem Einwählverfahren. Die Rezeption sehr freundlich, aber in diesem Hotel wird eine gewisse Selbstständigkeit des Reisenden erwartet.

Waren sehr zufrieden. 3 x NY und einige Hotels erprobt. Frühstück ist für. US-Verhältnisse sehr gut. Bagel, Toast, Obst, Joghurt, Kaffee, Milch, gekochte kalte Eier, Butter, Frischkäse, div. Marmeladen, div. Honige, Automaten Saft, frische Waffeln. Sandwiches zum Erwärmen, Muffens, süße Teilchen, jedoch keine Wurst/Käse. Was für uns kein Problem war. […] Kurzer Weg zur Subway. Zimmer sauber. Safe (klein Dokumentenfach) kostenlos an der Rezeption. 24h Kaffee und frisches Orangenwasser, zum Kaffee - warme Kekse um ca. 4pm (haben wir nur beim Hurrican genossen). Freundliches Personal. Neben dem Hotel zur Zeit eine Baustelle (Baulärm ab ca. 7h - wurden beim CheckInn darauf hingewiesen - hat uns auch nicht gestört - NYC ist sowieso nie ruhig!) Alles GUT. "Horrible front desk, extremely small rooms"
Please do not stay at this hotel. I was fooled that i am getting a deal discounted from $650 to $150, but this hotel is nothing but a II star motel 6. I am not sure why Marriott even allows them to attach the name Marriott, but after this i will NEVER stay in another marriott. The picture is not accurate the rooms are extremely small. NY Is not like […] this! I stayed at FOUR POINTS SHERATON for much less and the experience was amazing. In addition the location of Fairfield is dangerous. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. On positive note despite the horrible front desk service by the male attendant the young female receptionist was trying her best to help. Excellent location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was an added bonus and tea and coffee available all day and cookies to die for. "Pretty decent place."
Overall I have no real complaints about my stay here. It's in a pretty good location, just a short walk to anything, it's affordable for the area, the room was nice and clean, and the staff was very polite. I got a room on a high up floor, hoping to have a view, but I only had a view of the next building. And some of the surrounding businesses are kinda […] shady, but the hotel itself was great. I enjoyed the breakfast, my only complaint about my stay was the elevator. There were only two elevators and the one was always being held in the basement for the workers, it would literally take me 15minutes to get to and from my room, also the Ice machine was in the basement and i was to scared to even go down there to get any ice. I love coming to NYC, so when I find a clean hotel for a modest price in a good location it makes it all the better. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean the beds are comfortable, it was very quiet. The hotel also offered free breakfast. We were within walking distance to almost everything we needed. The only negative was parking, […] the hotel has an agreement with a garage, but it's a block away. The rate with the hotel discount was $25.00 per day. I would stay here again. After a day of shopping it was great to go to the hotel - relax- go out to dinner and not rush home - breakfast the next morning was a treat ! The gentleman at the front desk even ran to get us a cab so we wouldn't be late for dinner! what service!! We enjoyed very much our stay, the hotel was clean, and it had everything that you need, bathroom and shower nice and clean, great bed, the room was a bit small but you really do not need more, you just need a place to sleep after a great day in Manhattan. Clean, comfortable and perfectly positioned in the middle of New York, it was exactly what we wanted from our stay. Not what I expected from a Marriott hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed with nice linen. Very nice Staff. Breakfast bar in the morning very convenient - saved having to visit local diner. Experience spoiled by by noise of construction work next door which was out with of Hotel control. This work started every weekday morning just on 7 am. "Excellently Placed New York Hotel With Great Service"
We were no necomers to New York, but this was clearly the best hotel we have stayed in the city. Ideally placed close to all the shops, Times Square etc. It was the ideal location. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially as we were there during the Hurricane. The complementary breakfast is very good, offering a wide variety, saving […] additional cost. It's all on disposibles, but there is hot food too. There is also coffee and tea available all day free, and warm free cookies at tea time.W The rooms are small by American standards but not for New York hotels of this type. Pros. 1. Hotel staff is very courtious. 2. Great breakfast and free internet. 3. Good location for Garment district and TimeSquare. You will have to walk couple of blocks for nearest subway though. This hotel had great service and staff. Everyone was polite, helpful and sincere in their approach to their work. This alone would bring me back. The breakfast was good as well. I usually do not write reviews. The location of the hotel is great: near the Empire State Building, Times Square, and great shopping. The bonus was the breakfast included in the price; however, we were a bit disappointed with the housekeeping. The AC was broken for the most part of our stay (July) and it was fixed only on the last night of our visit. […] We brought our ownportable baby crib so that the baby would sleep comfortably on something she was already familiar with. The housekeeper spilt coffee on the portable crib (this is a $300 crib!), the towel that we brought from home, and the baby's brand new hat. We spoke to the hotel manager about the incident, but she vaguely gave a bunch of excuses almost insinuating that it could not had been possible that their staff made a mistake. Because they do not have a laundry on site, they could not clean my sheet (which is a special one for the portable crib). Of course, they offered replacement sheets but I did not want to take any chance with a seven month old baby and have her sleep with loose sheets which are not recommended due to SIDS. Overall, I recommend the hotel: the place was clean and the staff (in spite of the coffee incident) was friendly and amicable. MehrAuthentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

The hotel is tiny (very narrow) and in a nondescript location with few amenities. However, it is within walking distance of Penn Station and the subway, and the rooms are very clean.
