Sky Ranch Lodge - Sedona

Die Lodge ist sehr idyllisch gelegen mit einem traumhaften Ausblick ueber Sedona.Ich war jetzt das 2te mal da und wuerde es wieder buchen. Die Anlage besteht aus vielen kleinen Bungalows die in einer Art Garten mit vielen Blumen und kleinen Teichen angelegt sind.Es gibt auch einen Pool der im Sommer sicherlich super ist (wir waren im Nov. da). Die Zimmer […] sind sehr gross, sauber und absolut standard fuer 2Sterne.Die Kopfkissen waren leider sehr unbequem aber das ist ja Geschmackssache! Das Hotel bietet kein Fruehstuck aber Kaffee an der Lobby, sowie Getraenke jeder Art an einem Automaten. Der Ausblick von der Terasse ist absolut grandios und wohl das Beste am ganzen Hotel :)!Sehr romantisch auch fuer einen Abend zu zweit mit einem Glas Wein! Mehr

Wer eine traumhafte Aussicht auf die berühmten Berge haben will, findet sie hier. Das Motel ist dadurch zwar etwas abseits, nämlich oberhalb des Ortszentrums gelegen, aber das Panorama von der Hotelterasse ist einfach toll. Da auch der Service stimmte und das Zimmer in Ordnung war, eine klare Empfehlung.

Auf der Airport-Mesa gelegen bietet die Skyranch Lodge einen unglaublichen Blick auf die Red Rocks und auf Sedona. Da Motel ist völlig ruhig, den Kleinflughafen nimmt man gar nicht war. Schöne ruhige, komfortabel im Ranchstil eingerichtete Räume.Einziger Wermutstropfen: kein Eisschrank. Sehr freundliches Personal.Günstiges Preisleistungsverhältnis. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten […] und der Ort Sedona selbst sind mit dem Auto rasch zu erreichen. Für Esoteriker, einige Vortexes sind in Gehdistanz vom Motel. Would do it again

Beautiful views, not your "big box hotel chain", easy to get to shopping if you like that. Met very nice people on the observation deck.

Sky Ranch Lodge was much better than anticipated. Rather, I had high expectations based on the great Hotels.com and Yelp reviews, but was a bit nervous when we arrived. It is outdated, yes, and lacks a restaurant and some of the more traditional hotel amenities. But what it lacks it more than makes up for in charm and location. This hotel is just about […] the only thing up on top of this gorgeous mesa overlooking beautiful Sedona. Stunning views, a few off-the-beaten-path hiking trails, walking distance to the Airport-Mesa Vortex. The best part of our entire trip to Sedona was the time we spent at Sky Ranch Lodge. A quick drink at the walk-up bar turned into a few hours talking as the sun set and the patio string lights came on. Then we decided to walk the few yards to the Mesa Grille, which no one mentions! It's a seafood restaurant located at the airport and while the food is decent, the atmosphere is amazing. At night there are almost no lights and the stars are breathtaking. After dinner we sat on our porch facing the interior garden and just basked in the beauty and silence. I would absolutely stay here again without any hesitation. We had an amazing time. Mehr

Great location with spectacular views. Friendly staff, clean comfortable room. Well-kept grounds and very peaceful. Will definately stay here again!

Everything was okay, but a new shower head was definitely needed. It was possibly as old as the lodge itself.

This was a perfect spot. Close enough to town and far enough away from all the downtown hoopla. Great pool and hot tub, friendly staff. Great views! My only complaint is that it says it's "dog friendly" but they won't let you leave your dog in the room unattended! Pretty difficult to do when you want to do some sight seeing or go out to eat!

Surprisingly nice for a two-star hotel. The best part is the location, as it overlooks Sedona. The hotel has its own private viewing area to watch the sunset. It is amazing. The grounds are beautiful, too.The room itself was clean but nothing fancy. No frig, no microwave, no breakfast.

Quaint and rural looking. Small property with what must be one of the best views in the valley! Room was spacious and clean. seemed old but kept up. Grounds were very pretty. On site wine bar was cool. Not a 5-star, but still terrific. Definetly will come back.

Sky lode was an excellent place to stay and the accomodations were very good. Next time we would request a room with a view..

The Lodge was very comfortable and everyone was friendly and helpful. The views were great, especially from our Rim View room. It was an ideal spot to bring our little dog.

Very nice garden area and a spectacular Sunset View Terrace. Rooms are out dated but very clean. Not first choice but a decent second choce.

While not the most extravagant place I was thoroughly enchanted with our room and stay at the Sky Ranch Lodge. Loved the beautiful scenery and grounds. The view was spectacular and the fireplace was so cozy. I look forward to coming back again and staying longer.

The grounds are fabulous and very relaxing. The views are incredible (hey it's Sedona after all). There is a scenic outlook right by the property and lots of people come up nightly to watch the sunsets which are spectacular; however it creates somewhat of a traffic jam. Keep in mind, though, that the airport is right next door. We didn't hear too many […] aircraft taking off or landing, but one completely woke us up. The bed was horrible. I felt like I was sleeping on bricks and the pillows were paper thin and lumpy. The first night I sat up in a very uncomfortable chair for about 3 1/2 hours as I was so uncomfortable in the bed. The second night I borrowed a pillow from friends who were staying at a timeshare and was able to sleep for 2-3 hours, then wake up, roll over and sleep for another 2-3 hours. Amazing what a good pillow can do for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was teeny weeny and had a tiny toilet. If you like all the comforts don't stay here, but if you like beautiful scenery and gorgeous views AND you don't want to be in town where all the people are, this is the place for you. Mehr

Unfortunately due to a freak snow storm our sky view was only as far as an arm's length in front of us but the proprietors were very nice. We enjoyed our room which was great for the price. It's a 2* hotel but a good one. They shoveled snow for us, we could get dinner to go, and we returned a few days later after visiting the canyon to see what our […] view would have been. It's stunning but our room's view had a tree right in front of it so I don't know if I'd pay extra for the rim view or just enjoy the common patio. I'd definitely stay there again. Mehr

Nothing fancy but very comfortable, great outdoor areas to hang out in and a great home base for daily hikes. Staff were friendly and helpful. I travel with my dog and we both were happy with this lodge.

This is the second time I have stayed at Sky Ranch Lodge. There have been several improvements made like the private patio for viewing downtown Sedona and the sunrise and sunset. I choose Sky Ranch because when I go to Sedona I like to hike, visit nearby stores and restaurants; so all I need is a clean room and safe surroundings - Sky Ranch provides […] this. Be sure to stop by the Airport Mesa Grill - food is good and it is within walking distance of the Lodge. Mehr

We recently stayed at the Sky Ranch Lodge and would recommend it to anyone. The location and view is outstanding. This is a very unique experience to have the views from this hotel. Hundreds of people will drive up to the lookout beside this hotel for the spectacular sunset, but you get it front row at the Sky Ranch. It was a great stay, a little too […] short. Mehr

We really were glad we stayed here. We tried to imagine a room in town where you basically look around and see traffic, walls and peaks of ridges. This is a nice older place with nice grounds, views, a pool and most amenities you would find in any nice hotel. Right next to Sky Ranch is a viewing area that always had several cars at it, and here we had […] that panoramic view right from our room, plus a small deck. It wasn't exactly hot when we were there so we didn't sit out. There is one restaurant within walking distance. Otherwise you pretty much have to drive for meals. Mehr

Second stay here, love this place for location, cleanliness, and view.

Beautiful landscaping and stunning views. My room looked out on the courtyard but I only had to step outside to see the red hills. The lodge sits above Sedona so you can see the whole city spread out. There's a scenic walking trail partway down the hill and it's easy to get to all the galleries and shops. I only stayed one night but it was very quiet […] and peaceful. Amazing views from the restaurant just up the road as well. Room was comfortable as well. Coffee pot hadn't been cleaned though. Mehr

It was my first visit to Sedona. My Mom and I loved the location, a short distance away from the main drag. I thoght the grounds were well maintained and very attractive.

There were rooms that had the beautiful view of the valley with the red rock shooting up on the otherside of the valley. We had a garden room, but we could walk out and see the magnificant views from a grassy patio area. When we go back to Sedona, we will definately stay at Sky Ranch. The ranch showed that they had weddings there and I can just imagine […] how beautiful the bride in white would look with the red rock, the green vegetation and the deep blue skies behind (and with the groom beside her). Just got back from a very nice weekend in Sedona. This hotel was perfect for us at the right price. The views were fantastic and the remote location was great for peace and quiet. It's a mile from the center of the city but was actually pretty convenient between downtown Sedona and West Sedona. The rooms are not completely current, but were very clean, […] comfortable, and cozy. We were not in the room much, but when we came back in the afternoon, everything was cleaned very well and the bed made. We had a garden room next to the pool/hot tub and it was still very cozy and the grounds well manicured. I would definitely stay here again. Mehr

The buildings are rather old and the walls are not sound proofed, but the landscaping is very nice. The big draw, however, is the location on the top of a mesa overlooking the town with the best views around .

Beautiful locatioln. Friendly staff with tips for good eating locations. Older decor and room. We arrived after midnight and envelope was taped to door. That was thoughtful, however, little lighting so had a very difficult time finding room and building. The room was stone cold, no heat on. Outdoor temp was 30 to 40 degrees. Took a while to get room […] warmed. Also husband cut leg on sharp piece of hard plastic sticking out from other bed. It was under the bed skirt so he didn't see it. We reported to management, not fixed while we were there. Mehr

We came into Sedona in the dark. Woke up to most beautiful views right from the hotel. I booked it for the price, but it was way beyond our expectations. The rooms were comfortable and very adequate. Not much in the way of food and drink available in the immediate area, but it was dead of winter.

We stayed at the Sky Ranch Lodge for the third time in a year. We love the beautifully landscaped grounds, the view of the Redrocks from the lodge overlook, and the trails by the airport where we took our dog for walks. (Sedona also has a nice, nearby dog park down the hill from the lodge.) I would recommend this place for convenience and location, […] and for people who travel with pets. If outdated decor bothers you, I would not recommend this place. However, the room was clean and comfortable. Mehr

We checked in early, no problem, always nice. Our room had a canyon/mt. view just beatiful. Every room has a nice deck to enjoy the peaceful setting. Fish ponds, decorated like a ranch high up on the hill. Sky Ranch was truly all that! Located in a vortex area, maybe I'm crazy but it felt engerizing to be there.

pros - great location: near all the sights, scenic overlook just steps away - clean, comfy, simple cons - hot water runs out after maybe 15 mins so if you take long showers or there's more than one of you, beware.

Beautiful view from the rim view room. Excellent location...will definitely go back.
