Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites West Valley - West Valley City

Very nice hotel, very convinient for all immigration attorneys out there or anyone visiting the West Valley Immigration Court. I gave it a 3 star because it has no bells and wistles (alhtough it has a little water park atatched to it). But, it was very clean, spacious, convinient and well managed, better than other 4 or 5 stars hotel I have stayed in […] Europe. Kids loved the 3 story indoor water slide

The hotel is a bit far from downtown and there isn't much going on in the neighborhood, but the staff is definitely very friendly and the hotel is well kept and clean. My room was large and was fully stocked with all the amenities you would need. Overall this is a great hotel.

We stayed for 4 days after Christmas. The staff was nice and friendly, the pool was a blast, the breakfast was good for the price but could have been better. Overall very happy with our stay.

Great Location! Immediate access to E-Center (Maverick Center) arena, many great restaurants, Hollywood Connections theatre and family entertainment complex (your kids will love it), shopping at Valley Fair Mall, freeway N-S and E-W, close to SLC airport. Has pool/waterpark play area for families, hot-tub, arcade, a "concession stand" area where you […] can sit and have a casual lunch - (really good) pizza, hot dogs, etc. for reasonable prices. Decor is very nice, rooms are spotless. Beds we had were memory foam - more comfortable than our bed at home! Even "firm" and "soft" pillows! Free WiFi. Very nice free full, hot breakfast, including biscuits and gravy, bacon and scrambled eggs, choices of breads, fruit, yogurt, juices, etc. Staff is very friendly, courteous, helpful. The Holiday Inn Express West valley was a great time for the whole family. Our stay started out on the wrong foot when my daughter go caught in her seat belt that was locked up and she couldn't get out. The hotel staff was great they got me some tools that i used to disconnect the belt from my car. I had read some reviews that said the staff was rude […] and not very good hosts. Nothing could be farther from the truth they were awesome. The water park was a blast for the kids who are begging to go back. Our room was a two queen bed suite which was clean and modern. I highly recomend this hotel for families because there are kids everywhere. If your lookinjg for a quiet hotel you might want to look elsewhere. Five stars. Mehr

I could give or take the hotel itself as it was very similar to any other. HOWEVER, the staff from the maids to the front desk were possibly the best I have seen in lodging service!!! I will continue to stay here due them them. The rooms were very clean and I enjoyed my entire week stay!

We were in West Valley for a family reunion and wedding. Upon Check in we were expecting a king suite w/a pull out sofa. We were told that room doesn't exist so they put is in a double queen room which did not provide the privacy we were hoping for. The room was acceptable. The water park was very cool, but keep in mind that you must be 48 inches tall to ride the big slide, which my little one was NOT. Also was very surprised that there was NO tub in the room, only shower, which can be tricky bathing little ones. Also, front desk was not helpful, friendly, or cooperative. The night before one of our guest had a medical […] procedure done, I called and asked for housekeeping to be done before we returned the next day, due to our guest needing to be on bed rest. They said yes, they had a four hours. Nothing was done when we returned, and when I called to cancel housekeeping and ask for towels, there was NO apology or anything, just an "okay". The pool here is total madness! I felt guilty allowing my kids into the pool here because the water was nasty and there were 100's of kids in there, I would not get in it thats for sure! They did use extreme amounts of chlorine, thats probably why kids did not get sick from the water. Overall the hotel is very nice and fairly new. Well kept. The breakfast […] was also complete and udder chaos! It was extremely crowded with not enough seating and the breakfast attendant was completely overwhelmed and couldn't keep up. Other than some abuse language coming from the room next to us all was great. Staff said they would take care of it.

I was very impressed with this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and it had a free breakfast. The only thing I would change is to get rid of the styrofoam plates and add some recycling bins. Other than that....awesome.

Great hotel. Way nice pool and slide. Great game room and snack bar. Breakfast had lots of options.

I could have given this hotel a 5 star but the front desk people are not that friendly. The hotel is excellent although they could do a lot more training their staff to be more accomodating and have a service with a smile.

Great hotel, with an excellent included breakfast. The only problem for my wife and I was that, having a pool complex (which they refer to as a waterpark) the hotel is overun with children and noisey untill they get to bad (about 11.00 pm) with lots of doos slamming and thumping overhead.

Excellent family getaway! The room was clean & met all our expectations. The water park was a HIT with our kids! They had a wonderful time!!

I tried to book a party there for my daughter at the Grins & Fins water park. After leaving 3 messages without any return calls, I decided to just book a room. The room was over priced for the water park being the one and only great thing about this hotel. We were house hunting in the area and arrived late. We were met with very friendly people and because the pool stays open late our children still had a great time swimming in the fantastic pool. We had a great time.

Like many others, we decided to take 3 of our younger children to stay in this hotel and enjoy the waterpark feature. The water slide is a lot of fun but becareful because it typically is only operating on weekends. Always call and confirm details if you stay for that purpose. I thought the beds were comfortable and the overall condition of the hotel […] was pretty good. It tends to be a bit overpriced especially considering the waterpark only operates on the weekend. I'm sure timing to avoid crowds is critical to enjoying the waterpark. (It could be very crowded. A sign says a max of 75 people are allowed in the water park.) My kids really enjoyed it. We timed it well. It's location in West Valley City is next to many good restaurants and as mentioned by others - the E-Center/Maverick Center, a Cinema/Fun Park, etc., (A Pretty good location for young families on vacation) Traffic jams in this area are horrid at the start and end of concerts etc. in the Maverick Center. This motel was awesome, especially if you have children. The indoor water park was a GREAT hit for them. They offer hot cookies at night. And in the mornings wonderful granny smith apples. Very clean and the staff was very helpful and very courteous.

the hotel was great to us but we made the mistake of booking through hotels.com and when I arived late at night I was not given the room I had booked and paid for. I booked a king suite with pull out couch for my daughter. I got a king bed but it was not a suite the hotel btought in a roll away bed wich made the room very cramped. then the next day […] the moved us in to a room with 2 queens even though I paid for a king suite. Next time I will deal with the hotel directly. Mehr

Although the entrance into the property was hard to find, and signage on the hotel was not really visible, the property is lovely and the service was great. In addition to the pool & hot tub, there's a water slide, so there were lots of families with young children, but we weren't bothered by noise due to the weight of doors and--presumably--thickness […] and/or insulation of walls. This property is PET FRIENDLY with an additional fee per night, and staff was cordial to my Min. Schnauzer. Breakfast was terrific, the the dining area spacious enough not to have to wait for a place to sit. All in all, we were very satisfied with this hotel stay. Mehr

Would be a 4 or 5 rating but the price was extrememly high for a Holiday Inn Express. Would recommend only if price was reasonable. If it is as high as I paid for this stay I would not stay again. Seemed HI was gouging customers due to Ski Show in town and that leaves a bad impression as far as I'm concerned.

The beds were comfortable and the kids had fun. I thought the price of the hotel was high for what you got. I also thought that the arcade was complientary it was not.

Our experience at the Holiday Inn Express in West Valley was GREAT! The hotel and rooms were immaculate and the Fins and Grins water park was perfect for our young children. Our stay was during the middle of the week so it was not busy at all and the kids (ages 9 months to 6 years) had a blast. The room we stayed in was beyond comfortable and very spacious. […] We plan on making a visit to this hotel a yearly activity while our children are still young. Highly recommended! Mehr

The hotel was hard to find. The whole freeway was under construction making it difficult to find hotel. Close to the airport which we did not use, but could be easy access. We should of driven further pass the city for a hotel.

The hotel was very clean and the pool was great for my daughter. The walls may not be very thick as I could hear the person snoring onthe other side of the wall. I was very happy with this hotel. We came for a quick New Year's Eve getaway. The hotel was completely booked, so the pool and waterslide were very busy (as we had anticipated). I expect that on non-holidays there is plenty of room for all. We enjoyed the close location to restaurants and a movie theater. The room was decent in size and had a nice flat screen TV. The pool is the best part of the hotel, although it was EXTREMELY crowded. The room was very small and we could hear everything going on around us - definitely not sound proof! It was okay if you are just looking for a fun stay for the kids and not looking for great comfort and rest. Great visit with 4 kids. The slide and pool area made our stay with our kids very enjoyable. The hotel is next to fun/cinemas and great restaurants.

The indoor pool and play area was great! I have 4 kids from 17 down to 8 years old and they all had a good time on the waterslide or just playing on the water playground or basketball in the pool. For the time we spent in our room. We were happy with everything except the ice machine was broken on the first floor. Oh well we had to exercise to the second floor. No big deal. I was just happy for once I didn't have to clean my own room.
