I was looking for an affordable hotel to stay at after a concert at Casino Rama. This hotel was about 10 minutes from the Casino, but the drive was an easy one. Our room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable. Since the included continental breakfast was only served from 7 - 9am, which was the only downfall I could find (my suggestion would be to […] have extended hours on the weekends for those travellers not in a hurry to get up and leave in the mornings), we went to the grocery store right beside the Hotel and bought food for our breakfast. The little kitchen area came in very handy, and the in-room coffee was delicious! The Hotel staff were courteous and helpful. All in all, a wonderful Hotel, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The only problem for me was the lack of lighting in the bathroom. The light over the vanity was very poor; I had a hard time putting on my make up. I think a higher voltage would be better so that you can see what you're doing.

A wonderful small hotel with very pleasant & helpful staff. Clean, comfortable & nicely decorated room. We've never stayed in Orillia before & wanted a reasonably priced hotel. Since we were given tickets for a show at the casino we didn't want to spend a lot & this was a very pleasant surprise!! We would consider staying again!!!

I chose this hotel in Orillia so that we would not have to drive back to Mississauga after a show at Casino Rama. I could have chosen a hotel closer to the casino, but the reviews on TripAdvisor swayed me. Excellent choice! It was like staying in a 4-star hotel at a 2-star price. Turn-down service, impeccably clean, friendly staff, excellent hot/cold […] breakfast buffet included, bar with local beers, hot tub, very comfy beds, etc, etc, etc. If I ran a hotel, I'd aspire to this level of service, cleanliness, and overall comfort. I took my mum to the hotel for her 93rd birthday. She was greeted by name and taken to our room where the heat had been turned up (a first ever!); toilet seat in place. We were then provided a little bottle of champagne with a Happy Birthday note. My mother was thrilled. The staff are so friendly and the "pub" a local hang-out. staff were so friendly..had pizza delivered before casino that was awesome and lady who delivered so funny!! Ordered fancy coffees and cheese tray when we came back and same lady..so much fun!! Would love to have a "girl's night" here!

Stone Gate Inn was a very nice find! We would highly recommend it to other travelers going to this area. Rooms were very clean, a good size, breakfast was as good as any other served at hotels, staff very friendly.

Stayed at the Stonegate Inn first week in October and were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and modern and immaculate the hotel was. Our room was lovely with a separate sitting area and double french doors to the king size bed. Bathroom was large and very clean as well. "Luxurious rooms at reasonable prices"
We have stayed at the Stonegate on many previous occasions after staying at some less than desirable hotels in Orillia. The furnishings and linens are luxurious and the beds are so comfortable. Even the lady who turned down the room was so pleasant and as always, we had a great stay. Highly recommended.

Extremely friendly people, only there for three day stay and calling me by my first name already. Nice morning breakfast complimentary. Rooms comfortable and clean. Fridge and microwave in rooms with supplied bottled water. Only minor issue is small pool only but hot tub was available. Would definetely stay again on my return to Orillia.

We have been staying at the Stone Gate Inn for several years. The staff are friendly and very helpful, with our questions and needs. The pool and hot tub help us to relax.

The hotel was great,very clean and comfortable.The staff were very pleasant. The breakfast on Friday morning was much better than the weekend as they served scrambled eggs and not boil eggs. When checking in we did mention that we were there to play some golf, but no mention of the packages that were available.We found that information in one of the […] information stands. I was working away form the hotel and it was very frustrating trying tocall my wife in our rrom. There was either no answer (twice) or I was continually put on hold (also twice) and eventually I hung up. The holtel was clean and the maid staff were friendly and very accomodating. Raise the room rate a buck a night and buy some decent toilet paper.

The staff were amazing and one of the servers at breakfast couldn't do enough for us including boiling us some eggs to take with us as breakfast was over. "Could be better"
Hotel staff not fiendly. We had no access to internet, and to our surprise the staff mentioned that sometimes guests who stay on the top level can not have access to internet. We found this out the 2nd day of our stay. Very disappointing in this matter. Hotel cleaniness was alright. I expected a little much better

We were very pleasantly surprised to find such a lovely spot in Orillia. We have avoided attending shows at the casino there in the past because there was not really anywhere nice to stay--and we don't enjoy a 2 hour drive after a concert. We will be back to see more shows and to enjoy The Stone Gate Inn.
