Zimmer sind klein wie Überall in London. Internet gegen gebühr aber sehr schlechte Verbindung im Zimmer. Ich musste in die Bar und dort war die Verbindung gut. Teppichboden in den Zimmern schmutzig. Badezimmer sauber und ok. Frühstücksraum ist im Keller sehr billiges Frühstück - lieblos Mantratzen könnten auch erneuert werden. Das einzig gute ist die […] Lage. Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage in der unmittelbaren Nähe des Hydeparks. Leider lag unser Zimmer im Keller und das Tageslicht kam nur über einen kleinen Lichtschacht in unser Zimmer. Dem entsprechend war es auch nicht möglich ein Fenster zu öffnen und die Klimaanlage musste laufen. Das Bad war klein aber funktional. Im Bett fanden wir leider noch ein Haar […] (wahrscheinlich von der Putzfrau). Frühstück wird ebenfalls im Keller serviert, typisch britisch: Kaffee, Tee, Toast, Marmelade. Wer nur ein Hotel zum schlafen sucht hat hier aber keinen Fehler gemacht. Mehr

Diese Hotel verfügt über saubere und zweckmässige Zimmer. Die Lage ist ideal um London zu erkunden.

Das Hotel war gut und der Service auch. Die Zimmer sind aber winzig klein und das Hotel ist allgemein sehr ringhörig.

eigentlich vom Frühstück bis zur Lage alles super einfach sehr sehr sehr kleine Zimmer und sehr sehr sehr kleines Doppelbett und sozusagen kein Fenster würde es schon weiterempfehlen, einfach mitteilen die Zimmer sind wirklich sehr sehr eng, aber bei einem Städtetripp ist man ja nur zum schlafen dort :-)

Das Hotel war gut aber einfach. Eher ein 3 Stern Hotel als eins mit 4. Doch Zimmer waren sauber, Frühstück war in Ordnung, Lage perfekt. Nur ca. 15 Gehminuten von Marble Arch wo die Shopping Strasse beginnt und gute Metrostationen.

Überraschend war die Sauberkeit des Bades sowie der Stauraum und die neue Zimmerausstattung.Auch das Frühstück war für das Preisverhältnis o.k .Personal sehr freundlich .Werden beim nächsten London Urlaub wieder das Hotel buchen!

Ein kleines, gemütliches Hotel im französischen Stil. Es ist sehr zentral gelegen. Die Teppiche sind etwas schmuddelig (auch im Zimmer selbst) sonst ist die Sauberkeit recht gut. Lovely hotel--convenient to a lot of great sights in London. Comfortable room.

I was very comfortable there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small but nice, the bathroom was brand new and one of the brightest bathrooms in the U.K. as it was all white. Could actually see to put on my makeup.

Room was small but not at all uncomfortable. It was very near the tube station and i would certainly stay there again

I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling alone for sure! It is really close to transportation and really close to the train station that brings you into the city from the airport. Excellent staff- very friendly - the neighborhood has anything you might need- from restaurants to cafes to convenience stores- it is a nice spot.

A just about OK hotel for those looking for accommodation close to a tube station. Tiny rooms, altough clean. An OK breakfast. Beds had felt blankets and sheets - uncomfortable. Small shower booth with not a single shelf for your cosmetic bottles and soaps... No free WLAN / WiFi. Roof was leaking in the corridor for 3 days - there were towels on […] the floor to absorb some of the water, but the corridor started to smell really moist and the wet towels were there on the way all the time. Anyone who has stayed in a 4 star hotel before and is expecting the same thing, you are in for a surprise.I'm not quite sure how they advertise as a four star hotel as this is definitely not four star quality. I would compare it to 2.5-3 star max. Pros: Great location to public transport Cons: > Rooms are tiny > Hardly any space to do any work. > […] Forced to do ironing in the corridor because they only had one ironing board in the hotel and claimed it was because of fire codes, odd that other hotels don't have the same problem. I stayed at the hotel for 1 night. Arrived around 11 PM and left early in the morning, so I didnt really spend much time at the hotel. The Hotel was OK. Price was good. What I really liked was the area in which the hotel was located. Very close to Hyde Park. The streets around were very nice. Nice buildings. Lots of restaurants if you took the effort […] to walk 2-300 meters. I really liked the place, and can definately recommend. Had to ask for a decent room twice not to end in a cellar room!

Very interesting hotel - and not in a good way. Room was incredibly small and cleaning staff would randomly come into room at all times during the day.

Clean nice people very close to public transportation. The rooms are very very small We were only staying the nite so it wasnt a problem.

I booked a single room at the Elysee. The room was very small and opening the bathroom door required me to sit on the bed. The shower was so small that I couldn't wash the bottom half of my body and the toilet so narrow that my shoulders touched both walls. The second night there was a group of four loud drunk guys in the room next to mine who carried […] on from 10pm to 3am and then started back up at 6am when they returned. On the upside, the hotel was easy walking distance from Paddington and to Hyde Park and the room cleaning service was very thorough. Mehr

the romm was small, but normal sized for london. there is a underground station very close and a nice pub, too. we were happy with the hotel, for what we paid.

Rooms are small - but this seems to be common in London. The worst was the pub across the street. Although a pleasant pub with great meat pies, many people were standing outside being loud up to 1:30am every night. I do not deem this as a 4 star hotel. Its more like an upscale pension - no more than 2-3 stars

3-stars at best. Not bad, overall, just was overpromised (4-stars?!?) and underdelivered. Great location, though.

Our room was in the basement, and there is no elevator to the basement. We had to lug our luggage downstairs, and then up the next day. The a/c was great, as the outside hall had the heat on full blast. The breakfast room was outside our room. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about. We were only there for one night, as we took a train the next […] day to southampton to catch our cruise. Lancaster Gate tube station is literally around the corner, but don't try to use it during morning rush time with your luggage - what a mistake that was! Mehr

Showing its wear, but the staff was nice. The shower was impossibly hot, and there was not much to be done about it. It served our purposes well enough, but if you're the type to spend a lot of time in your room, you might want to look elsewhere. We routinely fly into LHR and train out of paddington, so a convenient hotel near paddington Station is a must. Our usual hotel was booked so we tried the Elysee. It was reasonably priced, clean and hospitable. The first room was minute (suitcases barely got in door. We contacted the desk and were provided another room a little bigger. The rooms are not luxurious but the neighborhood is great and the staff is very friendly and professional.

Elysee is the perfect central London hotel for those on a budget. The rooms are SMALL - so if you are a larger person, I would not recommend this hotel. However, I enjoyed my stay at the Elysee, it's in a lovely neighborhood right near Hyde park - and conveniently located near Paddington Station. The room was extremely small and it was the tiniest shower I've ever seen. The sink was draining really slowly when we arrived and there were hairs in the shower. We were on the top floor so the roof was slanted. No space to put our suitcases. There are bigger rooms in the basement...with no windows and next to the kitchen, breakfast and storage rooms. The front desk was very helpful with arranging transportation and providing directions to various places throughout the city. The only downside is irons aren't allowed and there is only one to use. It was inconvenient to go down to the front desk to get the iron then go in the basement to iron your clothes. I was a little nervous upon walking in and being led to a room in the basement, however, room was very clean, well-lit, convenient to the tube ... overall, not bad! Be prepared, they ask for a photocopy of your passport for 'verification that you checked-in' which I found odd, but staff was friendly and helpful. The Elysee is located in a great neighborhood just north of Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens. The beds are very comfortable and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was sufficient and included in the price. The only down side is that the rooms are on the smaller side, but that's what you get in London without spending a ton of money. I stayed in a basement room and it really felt like basement quality. It was very shabby, the extraction system was incredibly noisy and the shower unit was broken. The toilets in the breakfast room were really bad too. The least I would normally hope for is to get what you pay for - but this certainly wasn't the case - I'm sure I should have got far […] more. This hotel is close to Paddington Station (with rail service to other parts of Britain) as well as Lancaster Gate. That made it really easy to get around London. It also is very close to Hyde Park, which was great for running. It was somewhat noisy down in our basement room, and the air conditioner made some funny noises (keeping me up at night sometimes). […] Overall, though, it was a pleasant stay. This hotel is only a short walk from Paddington Station and about a block from Kensington Gardens. The location can't be beat. The staff was nice, the breakfast was excellent - much better than described. There is internet access in the lobby for a small price. There's nothing wrong with the hotel except that it is old. The halls are dark, the bedroom […] carpet stained, and there were old fashioned bedspreads on the beds rather than the comforters found in so many English hotels. There's just something creepy about old bedspreads and blankets by comparison. The bathroom was recently modernized and was nice, if small. It was very clean, but the room itself was too old to ever look really clean, much less sparkling. I want sparkling. The AC unit in the room barely puts out, but the TV is new. To say the least the room was very small. It took a little getting used to -- we adjusted! They are very clean with daily service and clean towels. What they lack in space they make up for in hospitality. They are so charming and helpful. The hotel is very centrally located to the subway system.

The location was great, especially in its proximity to Paddington Station. There were good restaurants around. The only problem was that on the second morning of our stay, there was no hot water -- a boiler problem to be fixed, but we were leaving for home before we could take hot showers. The staff were attentive and very pleasant.

That is about everything that was good with the hotel.

Convienently located to Tube, Bus and Tour bus stops. Elysee Hotel for the price was a good deal. Clean rooms and somewhat updated. Mattresses had coil springs but comfortable. Breakfast was great and included. Staff falling over backward to be helpful, and they were the most redeeming asset of the hotel. They helped with directions, shuttles to airport, […] etc. Pub across the street had great food and closed early so no loss of sleep, since our room was facing street. One block from beautiful Kensington Gardens. Great location for everything. Lots of hotels in the area we noticed. Beautiful neighborhood. Guests in hotel quiet. No complaints really. Continental breakfast each morning was just perfect, the staff were very helpful. It is an older hotel with narrow corridors but we were hardly there, it was clean and serviced each day. This isnt a 3 star hotel and I am the definitely the least of the hotel snobs out there. I only gave this hotel 2 stars b/c of the location and b/c the people were friendly there. BUT nothing in my room worked. When I first got to my room, my key didnt work - went down to get that fixed. I got into my room to wash up, the sink drain didnt work. I washed […] my face and the sink was full of water (the sink is small, but every hotel in europe is small so this is normal). Waited for it to drain so i could brush my teeth, sink would fill up again. Internet isnt free, so I paid for that but the connection was very sporadic, it worked about 20% of the time. Waste of money. Ive actually fallen asleep while waiting for the page to load. When i wake up the next morning, id see "connection timed out" or whatever. lol. Went to shower in the morning, the shower drain didnt work. I needed to wash my hair and rinse then turn the water off to wait for the water to go down. I conditioned my hair and washed my body while waiting for the water to go down. It never fully went down. I timed it actually - I was able to brush my teeth, dry my hair, and put my makeup on (about 20 minutes) before all of the water in the shower finally went down (this a shower, not a bathtub so the maximum amount of water, id say was about 2 inches high). 2 inches - if i didnt turn the shower off, the water would have literall overflowed out of the shower haha. Oh, and the heater didnt work. You can feel it coming out but it was SO low that you wake up freezing cold. Do yo know how freezing it was while the water was off while i was in the shower and i was waiting for the water to go down enough for me to at least see my feet? I rinsed my feet when i got out of the shower since there would still be soap on it b/c of the soap water. The walls are SO thin, you could hear everyone on your floor walking in and out of their rooms. i could literally HEAR the people in the room next to me talking about where they wa Mehr
