Leider sehr schlechte Luft im Zimmer, muffig, Schimmel? Lage mit dem angrenzenden Park gut, jedoch ist die Zufahrtsstrasse zum Hotel selbst fuer Bangkok unterdurchschnittlich... Service und Fruehstueck aber sehr gut

Nice hotel, good location near to Victory Monument station. If you want to have nightlife, it is not here, but there are ok thai restaurants and shopping nearby. Anyway easy to take taxi or skytrain anywhere. Only minus is that there is no pool. WiFi was slow or non-functional at times. Slept well, no noise.

I love staying here. From catching the airport train to the last stop for 45BHt and then one stop on the BTS to Victory monument for 15 Bht. I feel pretty clever already. (if you dont know the way get a taxi for the last bit. It is just a nice place with great value rooms. It is 10 min to the BTS by walking so that is convenient. The breakfast is nice. […] I like the steakhouse nearby which doesn't sell much steak but has cheap local food in air conditioned comfort with smiling staff. when the car drove in to the street infront of the hotel, we was like "huh? omg...". its a dark street, like a backend street for garbage truck. the lobby of the hotel was presentable. there is only 1 lift and is quite small, 6 of us with 3 luggages and thats it. room was quite big indeed with balcony but the floor is without carpet. my friend found […] two hairs on her bed which make her feel yucks. my cousin's room on the 5th floor, electric tripped for more then 3 times, only on the last night of stay the staff suggested for a switch of room. my room on the 7th floor, air-con dripping, and it happens on the last night of stay. overall, the staff from the hotel are very nice, speak good english. bellboy is always at the door waiting to serve. the location is quite convenient, but depend on if you mind walking down the dark street in the night. from the hotel, turn right and turn right again will bring you to King Power duty free mall, walk further down its the BTS. from the hotel turn left walk down the dark street with alot of motobikes and taxi coming your way, you will reach the main road, there's a so call night market and a small shopping mall. The hotel is at 5 min walk from Victory monument BTS station. This station is 15-20 baht far from many shopping places (Plantip plazza, SIam paragon, siam square). This makes it a very suitable location to visit Bangkok or even to go to other places using the mini-vans located at victory monument. This is probably one of the better hotels I've stayed in through my travels in Southeast Asia. It's clean and the rooms are more in the 4-5 star hotel range. The beds are extremely comfortable, big tub and having the suite is nice (especially for couples traveling). It's also in a nice neighborhood and there's a massage shop downstairs (giving great […] massages at a decent price). The only downsides were: 1) I had asked them the night before to call for a taxi to take me to Phaya Thai for the airport train and either they forgot, or decided not to call until I reminded them again after checking out. This was the only hotel that I had this problem with. 2) There were red ants crawling on the bathmat in the bathroom the first day. 3) If you are going at night (via public transport and then walking from BTS), I'd recommend that you very carefully study a map ahead of time as it can be extremely difficult to find in the dark. The hotel is locate about 400 m from the nearest BTS, Victory Monument. I did have any welcome drink and cold tower as mentioned but this is not a problem at all. Front counter staffs are friendly and helpful too. Free wifi in room. But the signal wasn't stable. The aircon in my room is the main flaw of the stay, noisy and not cold. Very good priced hotel, with good breakfast and very good hotel service. The only thing that I don't like is that there are lots of ants in the washroom.

we hungout in Bangkok for 4 days (one day was NOT at this hotel and it was a mistake) we were WISHING we were back at the Royal View. It was a little hard to find, but our tuk tuk driver found it. better to get taxi yourself at the main street, not through hotel!

We had a nice room with plenty of space, a large firm bed and even a balcony. Everything was clean and tidy. The location of the hotel was very convenient as it was a five minute walk from Victory Monument Sky station and from here it was just another 5-10 minutes to the shopping centre of Bangkok. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice and […] huge variety. The internet access was slightly unreliable and as we needed to work online it was frustrating as the signal kept dropping. It is a mixed blessing to write a good review as it will likely attract more westerners and ultimately push prices up. This hotel is close to the BTS. Rooms are clean and quite big. Nice and helpful staff, welcoming atmosphere, clean room, 10mins walk to BTS Victory Monument. Rooms interior needs to be renovated, old fashion. We could hear people walking and talking outside the room. Otherwise a good choice for budget travellers.

Hotel rooms have recently been refurbished (some floors still being done) and the new rooms are great. Very comfy bed, good bathroom, and DVD player on request. The staff were also very helpful throughout our stay (arranging DVD player, organising take-away to be delivered to room). Location is not the most central, but tuk-tuks are hardly expensive. […] So, for the sake of a 15 minute tuk-tuk ride you can't complain. Friendly staff, very clean and nice hotel. Wish it was a bit closer to attractions but only 10 mins walk away from train station. Plenty of cabs and tuk tuks around.

Good service, decent breakfast, nice room and quite close to BTS station (Victory monument). The actual view from the balcony overviews another tall building. Nothing to complain. The staff knows how to run a hotel.

Me and my wife stayed there for 6 nights the Hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The staffs were friendly but poor English. The Hotel was not located in good area and was far from city center and main shopping centers. The prices for Hotel’s tours and Hotel’s taxi was on the roof and we always got the taxi in the street by our own. My gf & I really enjoyed our short (1 night) stay at the Royal View. We arrived after a full 24 hours of travelling and were greeted by freezing cold ice tea and lovely cold face towels which was a lovely touch. The staff were very helpful and spoke reasonable English. Another plus was the breakfast the next morning which was a buffet and of reasonable […] quality (as well as having a good choice). From my experience of these reviews people really want to know whats wrong with the place so i'll focus on that: - Location: in terms of getting around the city it isn't badly placed as it is very close to Victory Monument sky train so you can get into Siam Square and a whole host of other places. However, its NOT close to teh Grand Palace or Khao San Road, if that's what you're looking to visit. In fact we tried to get a taxi back at about half past 6 in the evening from Khao San Road (we were absolutely exhausted) and couldn't find anyone who would take us. In the end we had to get a Tuk Tuk having walked half the way. Obviously being a bit out of the way has its benefits and its nice to stay somewhere which isn't just populated by Westerners (at breakfast we were the only table who weren't Thai). - The rooms: they are perfectly fine but a bit dated. The pictures on the website are, I would say, not reflective of the current state of the rooms. They could just do with a lick of paint and a breath of colour really. That said the bathroom was clean, the shower was hot, the a/c worked, there was complimentary water and coffee/tea and a balcony, so generally the room was of a good standard, just not quite as good as we had hoped it might be. As you can see, my two main negative points are mixed in with positive points. I would say this is a cracking hotel for money we paid for it, and if you turned up the door in low season i'm sure you could get it cheaper than we paid. All in all I would recommend. Mehr

A very good 3-star hotel with friendly and helpful staff and clean basic facilities. It takes 10 min. walk to the nearest BTS station (Victory Monument)..

Excellent hotel - to include superb staff, cleanliness, friendliness. Recommend without hesitation

Close to public transportation, movies, shopping, and some tourist sites. Good price for the quality. Food choices are plentiful - from street stalls, sit-down restaurants, to fast food joints. It was a relief to be outside of the tourist circles.

The hotel quite well located in the heart of bangkok and provides decent basic amenities. Hence, if budget is a concern for you, this hotel definitely delivers very good value for money for a decent shower and night's rest.

arrived past midnight, booked four rooms, however one room toilet was broken, since the hotel is fully booked, they had booked us in a nearby hotel for a night which they had paid triple of the priced we paid for the hotel, and sent one of thier staff to check us in a different hotel. the other 3 rooms were all upgraded to a suite without us requesting […] for it. going back to royal view very early in the morning,i had seen the difference of this hotel to the one they sent us for the night, the lobby is very clean, rooms are huge, claan, comfortable. Quite despite the proximity of the place to everything. King power is just a few steps away and a mall which has variety of restaurant to choose from. few minutes walk to victory monument and the BTS station for airport link. Most of all, the staff are just simply amazing. they will go far and beyond just to make your stay as comfortable as it could be. Tjey wwill guide you accordingly even getting a taxi for you with your destination written in a piece of paper in thai language and talking to the driver themselves just to make sure you will be brought to the right destination., This hotel far exceeds our expectations. My boyfriend and I stayed here for about a week. The staff were very kind and the rooms were basic but clean and nice. There is free internet in the lobby, and a delicious complimentary breakfast buffet. Brilliant location. Away from all the hustle and bustle but close to Central Bangkok given easy access to Skytrain and also proximity to Victory Monument (Fashion Mall) where you can catch minibuses to Ayuthaya. Only a few stops away from Siam Central. A stone's throw away from King Power Duty Free Mall. Very quick registration, they had all my details from my on line booking.The staff were very friendly and helpful.The area was very well located with a park out front which is ideal for running and taking some exercise.Short walk to metro. Im a self employed business traveller and will stay here again. great value for money.

I am sure this must be one of the best 3* hotels in Bangkok. The service was very friendly and professional at all times. The location is excellent both for the shops and the trains. The breakfast was also very good. I have stayed here now several times and will return again soon - you will find this place very hard to beat.

Quietly located along a minor street but just a short distance walk from a currency exchage bank,a modern shopping mall, a cozy yet reasonably-priced resto, a spa, train station, 7-11 and all the other essentials to enjoy Thailand, not to mention it's near victory monument, where most mini-van stations going out of Bangkok are located. Nice breakfeast, close to sky train station, clean..

My friends and I LOVED this place. This was one of the only hotels where we found a room with 3 single beds. The staff was very nice and always offered their help in the morning, their breakfast was delicious (I only ate the noodles, fried rice, and fruit - the actual eggs and ham didn't look very good), and the location was great. We thought we wouldn't […] be in a very great neighborhood because of the distance from siam square (3 stops on the bts?) but the neighborhood was great. Lots of little restaurants, a couple of 7-11's, and a few banks. We ate at Resto (around the corner) several times where the food was AMAZING and the ladies were always very nice to us. When we returned to Bangkok at the end of our trip, we were offered a discount on our second stay. Next time I'm in Bangkok I will DEFINITELY be staying here! Mehr

Royal View Resort is clean and serviced by friendly staff. It has all the basic necessities except toothbrushes. However, it is old. Towels clean but grey. Breakfast was reasonable but lots of local outdoor cafes just around the corner. Hotel is located short way down a narrow lane which is busy with mini-vans and cars. Terrific for those who are catching the mini-vans heading out to Hua Hin as this is where the mini-van station is located. Victory BTS is also a a few stations away from some of the big malls in Bangkok. It is also just one station away from the airport link trains to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Small hotel near Victory Monument Sky Train station. City noise was not really noticeable. Need to negotiate lower fares with hotel cabbies. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Across from a park.
