In Jackson Heights befindet sich Little India.

Too noisy!!
"Got the job done..."
Overall, this was a pretty decent little hotel. The front desk staff are all very nice and helpful. Breakfast was okay, but free, which worked for me. The room was very clean and the location was only about 4-5 blocks from both the 7 and N trains. It's only about 15 minutes to Times Square and waaaay cheaper than staying in Manhattan. Neighborhood is […] fine and safe, though there's not much open in the area - plan ahead. The only real problem I had with it was that there was a lot of noise in the lobby at around 1 AM, thanks to a large group of what sounded like French twentysomethings arriving late; this didn't last long, but it woke my girlfriend and I up. All in all, absolutely worth the money. Mehr

The view to the city was beautiful!. Everything was clean.
"Ramada Long Island City-Good on the Inside"
*Ask for City Skyline view* We went as a large group and when we got to the area the hotel was in, it looked very different than Manhattan...a little shady but not as grimey as what you'd find in Newark or even some parts of Brooklyn. One thing to note: it's a small hotel (10 floors but each floor has only like 8 units) so if you're expecting holiday […] Inn, you're in for a surprise. When we got to the hotel rooms, it was CLEAN and COMFORTABLE. All of us were so glad the washroom was completely spotless and no sign of anything out of place. Props to the cleaning lady Baljinder for doing an awesome job. We slept soundly and got up next morning to go for breakfast. Cramped like the other reviews say, and not elaborate style of breakfast, but you get enough to fill you up. Bring it back to your room and eat in front of the tv. Close to the subway (7-8 min walk for us) and safe. Overall a very good hotel experience for the price. Parking is not included but can be easily found on the road (except make sure to move your car on Monday mornings at 8 when cleaners are cleaning up roads). The hotel staff was nice enough, we asked if we could check out later than 11 (around 12) and they were completely ok. There's a sign that says no visitors allowed in rooms they must stay in lobby but we snuck in my friend and they didnt seem to notice/mind. Overall a good experience because of how clean it was. Mehr
"Good Night's Stay"
Hotel was easy to locate and offered a great value in close proximity to the city. Staff was very helpful and allowed me to leave my bag at the desk and come back for it later. Short walk to the subway for a 15 minute ride into the city. Neighborhood was typical of the of a city. Room was small, but offered necessary features for a good night's sleep. […] Will definitely stay there again. Mehr
"Ramada Long Island City"
Close to 2 subway stops. Reasonable rate for NYC. Free wi-fi. Helpful staff.
"Nice Hotel, Less Than Desirable Location"
I was rather pleased with the hotel itself. My only complaint was the lack of parking and the nearest lot being four blocks away. This problem was partially mitigated by the closeness of the subway (about a 5-10 minute walk). Unfortunately, the area around the hotel seemed a little questionable and it is not the easiest place to find.
"Ramada New York, Queens"
Hotel was clean, close to Laguardia airport, front desk people were nice. No parking on site, only on street, and confusing signage on street cleaning led to 45.00 parking ticket. Only gripe is no parking. Otherwise nice place to stay, inexpensive, neighborhood pretty safe to walk around at night. (Guy)

"Wedding Proposal"
I was going to stay in the room, but I gave it to my daughter & her fiance for the evening. They ended up staying there for an extra 2 nights because it was a nice comfortable room. It was very clean and the staff was very welcoming. We will stay there again when returning to NYC.

"Not so bad.."
I spent 1 night at the Ramada hotel. i wasnt to impressed with the location and hotel did not have any parking for guests which made things qquite difficult. The lobby was not in well condition and didnt leave us with much hope to what our room would possibly look like. Luckily our room was great and very clean. If you dont mind the location and If […] your looking to stay a couple nights at a afforable hotel this may be for you. Mehr

"Hit or miss"
We reserved 2 rooms. One room was great, comfortable, and clean. The other room had a toilet that didn't work at all. The maintenance staff was attempting to repair it until 1am and then asked if we wanted to change rooms 2 floors up at 2am! Who wants to change rooms at 2am? They shouldn't have rented a room with a broken toilet in the first place. […] The neighborhood looks a little sketchy but it's close to the rail system which allowed us to take the train to and from the city. Mehr
"good..but"
but too far away from manhatten..XD
"Crazy View"
Was there with my BF for a little getaway from our daily lives... we were on the 10th floor. I cant explain in words the view of the city from my room. The morning view and the view at night was incredible. The hotel was clean, well-priced, nothing bad to say about it that they can help (hey, they can't pick up the hotel and move it to Manhattan, now […] can they?) It was easy to find. Don't have anything to say bad about it... oh, except where the heck was the cable?! I could've sworn this hotel was supposed to have cable. There was NOTHING to be seen on that television. But if you're not really there for TV, it doesn't really matter I guess.... Mehr
"ok place"
biked there and found staff very helpful by letting us store our bikes inside - neighborhood wouldn't allow outside safe storage - room had a terrible view being on the basement level. maybe because we booked via hotels dot com? we're not sure. higher rooms likely had a nice view of manhattan. otherwise, it was a decent cheap place to stay.

"Great Hotel but questionable location"
It was SO CLOSE to Manhattan, you can literally get to Mid-town in about 4-5 stops. The night staff was very cortious and professional. Day crews, not so much... The hotel is quite new, too. However, area between the subway station (21st st - Queensboro bridge) to the hotel is about good 10 minute walk. It is no problem during daytime, but it wasn't […] safe enough for night time to walk back to hotel... Typical self-storage/light -industrial area of the city. If you have car, driving around would be fine, but who drives to Manhattan anyway? I would recommend you to take the subway to the city and grab a cab when you come back, which is what we did. So that's a couple of cab ride at around 20 bucks each and you can do the math whether to stay in the city or here. Hotel itself was a standard "Inn" hotel, clean & no frill... Breakfast was very forgettable, cheap no-name bagel, sugary cerials, bananas, folgers coffee & ever-powdery sunny D... You'd get hungry when you get out the door. We've all been there after all... Overall, I'd stay here again if the price is right. However, on the way to the hotel, I found another similar hotel "one block off" the queensboro station... Hum..... I might investigate that, next time, too. Mehr
"Window heater/AC unit was very noisy"
Because the bed had only a very thin blanket, I had to rely on the window-based heater unit to keep the room warm enough to sleep in. Every time the unit cycled on (about every 10 minutes) it was very noisy. Some friends who were staying in a different room reported the same problem, so I think the noise is build into the design of the units and was […] not just a maintenance issue Mehr
"Ramada inn in New York City"
I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to be within walking distance to the Queensboro Plaza subway stop. It was about 6 blocks away. The nearest restaurant was about a mile away which was inconvenient but worth the walk. The Sanford diner was awesome. There was a gas station/convenience store a block away from hotel. Parking was difficult, […] but there is a 24 hour parking area with attendants on duty about 5 blocks away, decently priced. Mehr
"Ramada L.I.C. in the upcoming area"
Nice and friendly staff and a new built hotel. Easy walking distance to subways station going to Manhattan. Neighborhood a little unflattering, but nice and safe. Breakfast better than expected - bagels, whole wheat bread, different kinds of cornflakes, donuts, mini muffins, milk, bananas, omelete, cheese, jam, juice, coffee, tea. We´ll stay there again […] another time. Mehr
"RAMADA LIC"
CLOSE TO SUBWAY...10 MINUTE RIDE TO MIDTOWN...CLOSE TO LAGUARDIA...CLEAN ROOM ..COMFORTABLE BED FRIENDLY ...RESPECFUL ...HELPFUL STAFF DEFINATE RECOMEND... FOR US.. A TOTALLY EXCELLENT TIME..MONEY WELL SPENT
"Ramada hotel in Long Island City"
1. No internet backup for 3 night 2. No weight Scale for the whole hotel 3. More Choice for Breakfast 4. No Shuttle service to airports 5. Inconverience location i.e. (not safe to walk at night)
"Good value for the money"
The hotel is clean and nice. The room has TV, fridge and working Wi-Fi. You're not in Manhattan, but the surroundings are really safe. A bit of walking to the subway (10 minutes) indeed. The walls are thin and you can hear everything. Not a problem for me as it's not very easy to wake me up. The staff doesn't say "hello", but why would you care? I […] didn't bother to say hello after a first attempt too.. A little tip: there is a tray in your room. We used it to take the breakfast in our room, as the tables are always occupied. Mehr
"good for price in newyork"

"Ramada in LI City"
Hotel room reasonable and quite clean. Nhbd is a little sketchy. Skip breakfast; it's awful.
"My Stay at Ramada"
To start, the bed sheets had some blood stains. Second, the room that i got was close to the lobby and the cafeteria and it there was noise all night. Third, when i made my reservation, they told me that they had private parking. But they didn't. Fourth, they told me they had rollback beds available, but they also didn't have it, and my little one […] had to sleep on the floor. Mehr
"Ramada at Long Island"
Overall good budget hotel with clean rooms, toilet and courteous staff. Hotel is well connected with tube.
"Hotel is good apart from smell"
hotel is good and service is good. But they can provide much better than what they are providing now. And one worst thing is the room is smelling like any thing. We can not feel that smell. Apart from it is good and near by subway.
"Wheelchair/Handicapped friendly"
We reserved this hotel for friends of the family, one of whom was recovering from a stroke. The hotel was very accessible and even had helpful accommodations in the room. Would recommend to anyone who might need similar amenities. The only issue we encountered was finding parking!
"VERY BAD"
The breakfast was very bad! The walls between the rooms are soo poor that we can hear everything the neighbours do! At 5am we heard our neighbours screaming and fighting and I think they reached a point were the husband almost killed his wife or his daughter whoever was with him! They were physically fighting even in the corridor, and there was cameras […] and the staff didnt do anything. If you are concerned about your security DONT GO THERE!! Mehr
"Ramada Long Island City"
The hotel was very clean and our room very comfortable. The price for New York was reasonable. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the metro. Which was ok with us. We considered it exercise so we could enjoy more of New York's fine cuisines.
"Ramada - Long Island City"
OK, there's a few things to keep in mind if booking this hotel. 1) There is NO onsite parking. The description says there is, Ramada's national reps will say there is, but that's because there's about 2 cars worth of space on the road in front of the hotel. It's not hotel property, and you're not gonna get it. There's reasonable parking close by (3 […] blocks or so), but NOTHING on site. 2) The lobby is very small, so breakfast is crowded. That's not a problem if you want to grab it and go back to the room, but it's a very small space and you're gonna be in close company with others. That having been said, the hotel was clean, the rooms, while small, were clean and tidy. It's only a few blocks from the Queensboro subway station, and so it's only a 8-10 ride to midtown. I would have been extremely satisfied with my stay had I known that there was no parking on site. But since I didn't get what I had been told (and wasn't able to talk to an onsite person since the phone number puts you to the national chain) I was upset that what I had been told and what was there were two different things. I would likely give a 5 star rating had we been told parking was off site. Mehr
"well kept hotel, but iffy neighborhood"
good prices for newish, clean hotel. but the walk from the subwat is iffy at night I felt. that said, a good deal.
"Great value if you're on a budget"
This is a modest place with the necessities you'll need, plus a few perks. Among the highlights: - Free wi-fi. This was easy to access, and was a stable and fast connection. - Free continental breakfast. A great way to kick the day off. - Ergonomic desk chairs in the room. - Nightstand table lamps with built-in outlets. Finding an outlet for your cell […] phone at night can be a challenge in hotels, but this was perfect. - A clean facility that isn't currently on the bed bug registry website. - Relatively close access to three Metro stations, but as others have said - you may want to call a car after dark. - Friendly and helpful front desk staff. The lowlights: - The single king standard room is small, and the bed takes up 80% of the room. - As stated above, you may have to call a car after dark to get anywhere else. I learned that in New York, you don't "call a cab" (none of the taxis have an 800 number boldly displayed like they do many other places) and if you need one, you get a (more expensive) livery car service. Since few cabs frequent Crescent Street looking for passengers, you may end up paying a bit more for a trip into the city after dark. - In the Random Missing Things file - there were no soap dishes or holders in the bathroom (neither sink nor tub). Just one of those odd things that you notice. - Some noise from the street, but I was on the 2nd floor and higher up this may not be an issue. Overall this is a solid choice for someone who doesn't want to pay the premium for staying in Manhattan. Mehr
"Ramada Long Island City - Good Value"
I had an interview in Manhattan and did not want to risk not being able to sleep due to noise in the city. I slept well at the Ramada, it is quiet there. Furthermore, you can get to midtown Manhattan in about 10 minutes from the Ramada via cab which will cost you about $15. You will save a lot of money if you don't mind that little trip compared to […] staying in Manhattan. Mehr

YEs, I will be staying here in the future!... I read all the comments and they were true!.. good price for a good quality hotel. To manhathan it takes only take a train and in 10 min you'll be there... no need to take taxi to get to train station. biiiggg bed!.. good breakfast, clean room, clean towels, staff really nice.... no charge to print bording […] passes.. very clean, staff wasn't as pleasant but the room was good along with price. close walk to train that will take you anywhere you need to go.
