Beautiful city centre hotel. Every aspect conveys the Missoni brand. Brilliant room amenities including the free softdrink mini bar and Missoni toiletries. Helpful staff and clean room. The only negative was the very very hard beds!

Super location. We got upgraded to a suite, after a problem with our original room. This was excellent, with a round couch to snuggle on, huge bathroom, and two designer televisions. Great views across to the hills above holyrood. Slight negative: not enough sockets near the bed for mobile phones etc.

Beautiful, modern hotel in Lovely old Edinburgh. The staff at this hotel are extremely capable and willing to help without attitude. Extreme comfort in the room with Missoni bed linens, towels and bathrobes. Free mini bar. Over priced breakfast, but I guess that is typical. The bartenders are the best I have ever encountered. I have only praise for the Missoni. A truly perfect hotel. Great staff and ammenities, beautiful rooms and an excellent location.

I often find "trendy " hotels cold and uncomfortable... The Missoni, however, has it all. It is chic, has all of the bells and whistles and one of the warmest and most welcoming hotel staffs I've experienced. A truly wonderful hotel experience.

The Missoni is stylish and comfortable with decent-sized rooms and good facilities. Location is very central and convenient for transport connections. Would definitely recommend!

This hotel is a gem grest central location,excellant staff,superb rooms,top notch food what more can you ask.

Fantastic location, very nicely designed, doft drinkd for free (very rare nowadays), not sure about the missoni kilts for stuff :-) strong recommendation for all design snobs like me:-)

The Missoni has all the greatness of a small boutique hotel, but it lacks an important feature. There is no space for hanging one's clothes and virtually no drawers or cupboards for unpacking. Having to work out of the suitcase in a very cramped space was inconvenient. The location, staff, bar, fitness facilities are top notch, so maybe they should […] reconfigure the rooms to include better closer/drawer space. The side street, Victoria, is very noisy at night with a club that opens at 10pm and does not close until 5am. Needless to say, there is a constant stream of rowdy revelers right outside the window entering and exiting from the club. Unfortunate to have such a noisy street on the picturesque castle view side. Ask for a room facing away from the nightclub. Mehr

Very impressed with our stay just before New Year. Excellent location, service and condition of hotel and room. The valet parking was a huge bonus as well. Would thoroughly recommend to leisure and business travellers who want a central Edinburgh base with easy access to all the main attractions, restaurants and bars.

Good quality hotel. I have stayed a few times and like the staff and the location. The rooms are small for the price and not sure what the difference between the premium rooms and regular can be as the facilities seemed pretty much the same.

We had an absolutely fantastic weekend stay at this hotel. The service from the moment we arrived until the moment we left was exceptional. The room was amazing, great view, fantastic shower, comfortable bed, great coffee machine, not to mention the complimentary mini-bar!! Breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold food. I was honestly surprised at what what a great job this hotel had done in its set-up. a lot of thought went into the planning here. my room really had everything, from Nespresso machine to great little soaps and shampoos. The real find here though is the staff. courteous and thoughtful, I was impressed by the reception desk, Izzy (sp?) especially who […] really took the time to make me feel welcome in the hotel, and the bar staff. I'd definitely stay here again, and hope that more "conservative" guests not be too blown away by some of the more progressive colour combinations;) And certainly, do the free walking tour they recommend starting at the Starbucks down the street, also a plus. We stayed here last year,shortly after it opened and this stay was just as enjoyable -- a perfect location, friendly, happy staff eager to please, whether in the lobby,reception or the delightful, colourful bar lounge.

We arrived at Hotel Missoni Edinburgh late Thursday afternoon for our two night stay. We were greeted at our hotel by a very friendly staff member who gave us a warm friendly welcome, took our luggage and brought us to the reception. From the moment we arrived we were treated so kindly with a great sense of warmth and professionalism from all the staff […] in Hotel Missoni. Everything from the hotel location, quirky design and customer service made our stay most enjoyable. The breakfast menu offered a wide variety of choice, with something for us all. The breakfast room was comfortable and again as all areas of the hotel designed in a modern and quirky fashion. I decided to treat myself to a spa treatment during my stay and without a doubt it was one of the best spa experiences I have had. While the spa area is small, it has a very comfortable and relaxed setting that made me want to stay all afternoon! The professionalism and warmth from my beauty therapist made my treatment so enjoyable I wanted to go back for more! We decided to eat in a couple of local restaurants during our stay and the staff in the hotel were able to advise and suggest great spots to meet our needs, again making our stay hassle free. Both nights we enjoyed a night cap in the downstairs bar, where the atmosphere was buzzing, and the staff were so attentive and friendly. Overall it was one of the best hotel experiences that I have had on a city break and would recommend for anyone looking for a little bit of luxury in Edinburgh! Mehr

Fantastic Location, in the heart of OldTown. No issues with noise even though the street was crowded all night long. Walking distance to everywhere. Free mini-bar, rooms were very modern and higly decorated, service was fantastic. If staying in Edinburgh again, would stay here.

Great hotel, lovely rooms - B&O TV, free movies, free mini bar, free newspaper. Great breakfast - fresh juices, freshly prepared hot food (service at breakfast could possibly have been a bit sharper), location is perfect. All round excellent hotel

A nice and modern hotel, good location, good service, good restaurant. The room is a bit small but comfortable and yet very modern deco + well equipped.

We stayed at the Hotel Missoni for three nights in March, on arrival the hotel is much smaller than you would imagine, funky bright colours and design focused but you walk in and the cocktail bar is immediatly facing you and two small check in desks to your left. The bedroom is bright and very modern but very small, I was staying with a friend and the […] beds were uncomfortably close to each other with a bout an 3 inches between the two beds, fine if you are lovers but not great if you are with a friend!! There is one large window in the room but it does not open and therefore makes the room clausterphobic so you have to leave the air con on all the time! On the plus side, there is a Nespresso machine in the room and free water, minerals and milk in the mini bar. Nice place but if you want space and a softer furnishings I would stay elsewhere! Mehr

Just back from a weekend stay at the Missoni Hotel in Edniburgh. I must say it was a great weekend!! The hotel is beautiful inside with very friendly and helpful staff. It is literally just off the Royal Mile so very close to lots of shops, restaurants and castle. The only complaint i would have about the hotel is the breakfast. We didnt have breakfast […] in with the price of the hotel so only ate there on the Sunday before we left. It was £18 for you breakfast!!! you did get the choice of the buffet and a cooked breakfast with that however it wasnt up to much i have to admit!! You could go down to the grass market and get a lovely cooked breakfast for £7 - so i have to say i was disappointed in that. But all in all Hotel missoni is a must!! Mehr

The location of this hotel is superb as is the design. The bed was very comfortable and I'd recommend breakfast in bed. There was only one flaw: the bathroom had an unpleasant odour - not what one would expect from such an otherwise very cool and trendy hotel.

The Missoni certainly looks fantastic. However the heating didn't work and when the hotel offered to move us the other room was just as cold. The corridor was very cosy, though! The dressing gown was essential due to the temperature in the room. The free mini bar was a nice touch but we couldn't get the coffee machine to work. A minor detail, but there […] was only 2 tissues in the tissue box (which wouldn't have bothered me if it wasn't for the other niggles)! The large bed was comfortable but there was only one pillow each. It would be much better if the hotel provided 2 pillows - if you only sleep with one you can remove the spare. Mehr

I have never stayed at a 5 star hotel before. From arrival to departure me and my partner had an amazing experience and this is all thanks to, Ideal location, Highest standard of service, Room decor, I could go on further. Superb hotel. Very central. Only 5 minutes from castle. No more than 10 - 15 minutes walk from any major sight. All staff were very friendly, polite and always smiling! We would highly recommend this Hotel without any reservation whatsoever! There was absolutely nothing that we could talk negatively about.

Absolutely loved this hotel! From the stunning reception and bar to the friendly helpful staff could not have picked a fault! Our room was gorgeous with lots of extra touches which made such a difference, bathrobes, slippers, mini fridge, coffee maker. It had a floor to ceiling window overlooking the Royal Mile and the location was perfect, 5 minute […] walk from Princes Street. Didn`t eat in the hotel but the restaurant looked lovely and prices looked reasonable. Had a few drinks in the bar at the end of our night out and it was lovely with a great atmosphere and waitress service, again not overpriced. The decor throughout the hotel was stunning. Great service from the outset, lots of nice touches. It is relatively expensive but the dinner and breakfast were 1st class, the service terrific, Internet is free and works and easy to use, the room was great. Perfect location, nice design, good room amenities, nice staff.

I liked everything in the hotel - staff, interior, room. All was brilliant as it should be in a 5star hotel but in practice is not so common. The hotel was opened in 2009 so everything was new, clean and in Missony trends and that is why i chose this hotel. We loved staying at the Hotel Missoni. The location couldn't be better, nor could the helpfulness and patience of the staff. Our room was modern and comfortable with fabulous bedding, luxurious towels, nice bath products, flat screen TV, great shower, and so on. Excellent location. Very attentive staff. Lively bar. Rooms are smaller but not cramped, although they have very limited storage options. Minibar was free and two laundry items per day also at no charge. Great place to stay and see Edinburgh. Pricey.
