This little beautiful hotel hidden away in an area just outside ChiangMai is a real gem. Beautiful, friendly and very good / nice staff ! The only downside is that its away from the city centre but close to the airport - no problems with transport though as there is always a tuck-tuck around the corner ready to take you where ever you want to go ! The aruntara is a beautiful little hotel with a very serene atmosphere, great service, killer piña coladas and a very soothing spa. I got their massage deal and I have to say it was extremely relaxing. The only downside is that it's a fifteen minute walk from the night bazaar which wouldnt have been too bad if not for the heat.

The Aruntara was a cute and zen-like boutique hotel. What really differentiated our experience was the EXCEPTIONAL customer service. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group including helping us throw a surprise party for a friend and giving us a complimentary bottle of champagne. Everything you expect from a boutique hotel. Well designed in a charming riverside site. First class helpful staff.

Hotel was easy to find and rooms were impressive. Although a little child unfriendly as the room has many sharp edges. Would be perfect for adults without children. Quiet, serene and fuss-free. Breakfast was good and rooms were very comfortable. Staff were also knowledgeable on the various attractions in the city and around the area.

We had a great stay here. The room itself was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was small but it didn't matter much. It has a swimming pool but was quite cold to jump in.

I stayed at the Aruntara for 12 nights in November 2011 and found it to be a fantastic place. The staff was wonderful and the room was perfect. The bed was soft and comfortable, which is not easy to find in Asia. The bathroom had in-line hot water and the room was sound insulated so I hardly heard another quest. Housekeeping was efficient and the breakfast […] was lovely. My only negative on the hotel is the swimming pool. It is completely shaded and the water was freezing. Fantastic hotel. The rooms were modern, clean and excellent for couples. Waterfall shower was separated from a large bathtub. The bathtub was accessible directly form the large bed. Only negative, the bed was overly firm.

The Aruntara is a delightful place to stay. The staff are very friendly and willing to help and the design of the rooms and the hotel itself is extremely attractive. It is also very good value for a hotel of this calibre. The price must reflect its location which is not ideal as it is a little far from the centre of town. There are plenty of tuk-tuks […] available but the distance still meant we tended not to pop back to the hotel in the middle of the day. We particularly enjoyed the Loi Krathong dinner when there was a much wider choice of menu on offer than was generally the case. Mehr

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Nice to stay on the river away from the busy downtown.

What a beautiful boutique hotel! Thai-inspired furnishings and decorations with an elegant modern twist of English colonial building architecture. Small enough to be personal, yet with plenty of air and light in the beautifully landscaped common areas. The room we stayed in was well appointed, and so relaxing to be in after a busy day touring. Nice […] touch of having the complimentary bottled water supply replenished every morning. Service is extremely prompt, polite, ever so discreet and very sincere. The doorman during our stay was so helpful in helping us arrange transport and even helped to stop traffic to assist us in crossing the road! As a boutique hotel on the outskirts of the city, this is a great hotel for quiet solitude by the riverside. It really feels like a world apart, yet the old city is just a short 10 minutes away by motorised transport. Mehr

The Aruntara is an architectural gem located on the banks of the Mae Ping River. Rooms are beautifully appointed with an interesting blend of wood, stone, and ceramic. Love the "Lanna" style that is the prevalent throughout the hotel. Absolutely delicious restaurant with an outstanding chef and wait-staff. Amazing hotel! Extremely clean and upscale. Service supreme! Food delicious! The beds are hard but we slept really well. Absolutely stay here if you are in Chiang Mai. A little out of the way but a tuk-tuk only costs at the most 100 bahts ($3) to get any where. Beautiful setting! Will return to this hidden gem.

My husband and I recently stayed at this lovely hotel along the Mae Ping River. It was a wonderful experience and provided us with a relaxing base during our stay in Chiang Mai. Even though it is not as close to the Old City section of town as other hotels, it was easy to get around either by foot or tuk-tuk. I definitely recommend the Aruntara.

Aruntara is a beautiful hotel. It is small, personable, comfortable, clean and the staff are really friendly. It too about 30-40 minutes to walk to the old city, or a 10 min tuk tuk ride. We had a superior suite and it was gorgeous. Spacious, clean and luxurious. My husband and I had a spa treatment and it was the best we had in Thailand. The only down […] side to our stay was the compulsory New Years Eve Party. Everyone staying at the hotel had to pay 1200 batt for the evening weather you attended or not. This 1200 covered a buffet dinner and juice.... It was the most expensive meal we had in Thailand and definitely not the best (especially when you purchased wine on top of the food). We were really disapointed by the evening - as it was spent with a bunch of other tourists. I believe this was a feeling amongst many other travellers as many did not show up or left early anyway. I was very satisfied with this Hotel and I highly recommend it to others. Close to the river and I love the trees and the green surroundings. No noise and pollution from cars and other motor vehicles. Very peaceful and restful. This is what you need for a vacation. This place is fantastic!! The security guard out front, was just the best.. We have booked two rooms for two couples from the period on 14 Sep to 19 Sep 2010 except the night we moved to ChiangRai on 16 Sep,2010. The staff were very helpful, although the hotel is not very large, the rooms were comfort and tidy. We enjoyed to take the breakfast in the restaurant which facing the Ping River with a green land in front of us. The […] location is just 5 minutes by Tuk-tuk or take the red car (20baht/person), which is quite convenience. The staff have reserved the same room to us after we spent another two nights, and the staff outside the hotel to control the transport was very helpful and polite. We met a wedding ceremony on Sat., the decoration is full of fantasy and romantic. The pool size is small but enough for swim, and it is a good place to relax and refresh. Mehr

Loved this boutique hjotel. Very restful. Garden with pool onto river. Small restaurant. A pity there was nothing of intersst in the immediate neighbourhood, not even any bars and restaurants, which is unusual for Chiang Mai. As we like to walk everywhere this was a big issue for us. It looks very centrally located near the night bazarr but is a forty […] minute walk, so we alwasy took a tuk-tuk. The hotel looks newly refurbished. It is small but has all the essentials. The rooms are large and well appointed. There is a limited view onto the internal courtyard. The pool is small but adequate. Boa surpresa tive com esse hotel. Um verdadeiro hotel butique com um staff muito atencioso. Café da manhã muito bom. Tudo excelente.

Vigtigt på dette hotel at få værelse på øverste etage, da der er mange myg. Rigtig meget larm : en hane der galer, bønner fra den nærliggende minaret osv. Kvarteret er MEGET ucharmerende - ligger midt i den muslimske bydel - sure ansigter og temmelig lidt service. Hotellet er smukt indrettet - og spa'en er fantastisk!Personalet meget imødekommende.

デラックス スイートでの利用は、部屋が狭く窓からの景色は最悪。案内ページにあるような景観はエレファント スイートでなければ望めないようです。 部屋もホテルもこじんまりとし過ぎの感はありますが、木造感を生かした作りなど非常に清潔感に溢れていて好印象です。 また従業員の応対も非常に親切で丁寧。市街に出る際にはすぐに足となる手段を案内してくれるし、大変助かりました。 ただ、部屋に冷蔵庫がないのはどうにもいただけません。 いわゆる冷温庫、ドリンククーラーしか設置しておらず、勘違いして食べ物を入れておいたら１日で腐らせてしまいました。 キリっと飲み物を冷やすことも出来ないという意味でも今時のホテルとしてはマイナス要素かと思います。

L'ameublement de l'hôtel est moderne et cosy. Le personnel est très attentionné. Les chambre sont grandes et propres. C'est agréable de retrouver cette petite oasis calme après les visites des temples de Chiang Mai. Le cadre au bord de la rivière est très soigné. L'hôtel est un peu éloigné du centre, mais les tuc tuc sont toujours disponibles. La nourriture […] du restaurant est très bonne, mais le service a été un peu lent. Hotel merveilleux, bon 4*, surtout au prix promo hotels.com, service génial, endroit calme, beau et agreable a côte de la rivière. A bonne distance du centre ville, seul reproche, pas énormément de tuk tuk devant l'hôtel.. mais en marchant tout est faisable depuis aruntara. petit plus : internet gratuit à la réception
